[Q] Qmobile Noir A110 internal memory problem! - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi, i have a Qmobile Noir A110(its a chinese company, you can google it) and it has 175 internal memory. The problem is that its gets full after every hour and i have it tells me: "storage space running out. Some system functions may not work". If i dont clear data out of apps like facebook and messenger, after a while it will say that phone storage full and i cant run any app. This is getting really frustrating. Whenever i download apps, it says that insufficient memory on internal storage but my SD card has plenty of space. I have android 4.2.2 and there isnt a "preferred install location" option in the settings. I also did the android SDK thing which you can do to set the default install location to the external storage but still no luck. I heard that flashing a custom ROM is helpful so i rooted my phone using Mobogenie but i got completely lost at the flashing, unlocking bootloader etc. Can anyone tell me the solution to this? it will be really helpful.
Thanks

"Insufficient memory"?

on a friends stock Amaze(no root or anything), he gets this error when trying to download new apps from the market. his internal storage is free about 250mb, and his phone storage free is almost 10gb, what gives?
Tell him to move over some apps from phone storage to his internal mass storage. That's the only thing I can think of. almost all the apps that I have encountered can be installed on an sd card (or mass storage on amaze)but there are those few here and there that don't so only move over what apps will still work.

that's lame. if i were to root his phone and install a different ROM, would a ROM with apps2sd resolve this issue completely? thanks
edit: so clearing the data and cache of the market app seems to have resolved this issue, for anyone who has it.

[Q] Lava Xtron Plus - Internal Memory Problem

Hi Guys,
I have a Lava etab Xtron Plus(Android JB7 4.2.2/ 8GB ROM/ 1 GB RAM) tablet. Just one problem is annoying me. It's the internal memory.
The internal memory is only 504 MB. The remaining 6GB memory is showing as NAND memory.
Most of the internal memory is eaten up. I have rooted the tablet. Used as many as apps as possible (app2sd, link2sd) to move apps to sd card(which is the NAND Flash). But system apps won't move and many apps have a little bit of MB in the internal memory. It is annoying that no space is available in internal memory. Even auto updates are not working because of no space available. Believe me, I have disable some system apps such as Google maps, google plus, google search. Still, no space available.
My question is, how to combine/replace this NAND flash with Internal memory? Can I make all apps directly download to NAND flash memory and install there itself instead of it downloading and installing(which requires twice the amount of memory for the apps) in internal memory and moving to flash(which I am unable to do coz of insufficient space)?
I have uploaded a screenshot of storage to give a clear picture.
I am totally stuck here and I really appreciate anyone's efforts in helping me.
Thanks.
Guys.. Any help on this?

Hi,I just rooted my LAVA ETAB XTRON+ tablet
Enable USB Debugging from developer options ,to do this go to “Settings” -> “Developer Options” -> “Debugging” ->” USB debugging”
and tick the mark in front of it
Make Sure you have installed adb Drivers for the tablet you can do this by installing moborobo or Wondershare mobile go then connect your tab and run the above programs they will install driver for you.
Download Kingoapp and install it on your pc
Increase your screen timeout settings to highes possible for the moment because while rooting process it will ask you for permissions on the tablet also and you have to allow them
With USB Debugging enabled connect your tablet to your pc .
Now open kingoapp root tool ,if your adb drivers were installed properly it should detect your device in a few seconds and you are ready to go.
same problem with my tab......

System Memory?

Hi Guys!
Just wanted to get this straight once and for all from you, the experts.
I have bought this cheapo Chinese device (yeah, I know...)
The guy selling it swore on his life that the device had 12gb of storage for app installation.
I didn't quite believe that so I asked him to send me a benchmark screenshot to see what was the storage situation and he sent me this:
i.imgur.com/KAyugUv.jpg
So as it says, while it has 12.5 GB of "Internal Storage", it only has 0.68 GB available of System Storage...
And my understanding is that, lots of apps simply Won't install anywhere else besides the System Storage, and even if you can Move the app to the internal storage, it will Still take up some space on the system storage...
Am I understanding this correctly?
If that is so then, does that mean that after my apps use up that measly 680 MB of space on the device I am "SOL" and I won't be able to install anything else on the device??
Thanks for the help!

Thanks!
This unit has android 4.4.4
Could you post a walkthrough on how to do that so that no apps take space under System Storage?

look ..if he means by system storage (the size of the ROM that will be installed) that mean you have 12 GB for your apps and that what i think it means(no android system can take 12gb !!)......and for moving your apps....you can try towelroot to root your device and install any app that can help you moving your apps....or try to go to settings>>apps>>and press the menu button and see if there is a option called...preferred installation bath or something like that>>>set it to removable sd card

I found this on another page:
"System Storage" is where the OS and the System Applications are installed. This could also be considered where the User application are installed (based on your question). User installed applications are installed in /data/apps, settings and app data is stored in /data/data, and then application cache data is stored in /cache. These are all part of the "System Storage".
Internal Storage is an area that is used like an sdcard. As far as the Android OS is concerned, it is an sdcard. Some applications may save data to it, but it is mainly used as direct storage for your stuff. Like pictures taken with the camera, music, ringtones, things like that.
You cannot just adjust the size of system memory. Is it technically possible, yes. But doing so could require you to have knowledge of linux tool, rooting, custom roms, recoveries, and even possibly having to compile your own linux kernel and ROM or other information that I am not thinking of at the moment. Which is well beyond the scope of this site.

So that basically means is that all apps by default will install themselves or lots of info about them on the 1gb System Storage... And that translates to running out of space almost instantly if I start installing apps...
Perhaps the Root option could help alleviate some of this space constriction by forcing all apps to install in the Internal storage and leave the System storage completely alone?

How can I increase apps memory

Guys, I have faced a problem. Hope, someone can help me.
My android device has 8GB internal storage and almost half is available. But in settings it shows only 1GB of apps can be installed. Though I have manage all of my internal storage space free, it always shows I can install only 1GB apps. That's why I can't install apps(apk) which is bigger than 1GB such as NBA2k15 and insufficient storage problem in play store after installation of small amount of apps.
Please help me.

Help with moving apps to SD card on a Blu Advance 4.0 L2

Hello, I've been having some problems with my phones.
It's a BLU Advance 4.0 L2
it has Android 6.0
Last year it had an software update, and after that it's been showing some issues.
Every time I update an app, like WhatsApp or Swiftkey Keyboard and the like, it moves them back to internal memory. That much I understand.
But after I try to move them back to SD card, it says "System app, it's no allowed to be moved", despite having them on the SD card before. The only way I've found around this is to uninstall and reinstall them, which is a hassle in the long run. I should add this is an adopted 32GB sd card, which hasn't given me any problems before.
I don't know what other info I should provide.
Thanks in advance for any help.
Most probably your default storage/ write disk is internal memory, try to change that if your device allows it or root it and use Link2sd app, which has an option to change your default install location :good:
