Hello, my DNA was in my pocket in a case, when I pulled it from my pocket the phone is in a boot loop. The phone hasn't been rooted or anything. I have pressed the volume down button, but when the phone gets to menu I can't choose any options before boot looping again. Any suggestions for trying to fix it? I appreciate any input. Thanks.

I had the same problem with the other phone(HTC One), it was it's power button got stocked. Try to open the device from it's top and fix the power button.
Thanks, I will give it a try.

Hey so I was using flash to watch something on Amazon Instant Videos and then it froze up and when I pressed the back or home button, the tablet froze completely and the screen just went black. I don't know what's happening because I can still hear the video. When I try to press the power/lock button, nothing happens and the screen stays off. Is there any way I can fix this or make it power off by itself?

Hold the volume up button and power button down at the same time for a few seconds until screen goes blank.

there should be a reset button on it, bottom left i think, it's mentioned in one of the papers that came with the tablet
Well it eventually restarted after me pressing the power button a million times.

glad you got it working. some apps aren't updated yet for this version of honeycomb or tegra3. sometimes they go on the Fritz. Google earth did that to me. after a while zooming in and out, it froze up on me n basically same thing happened to me. ended up rebooting the prime.
a fresh reboot, power off then back on again, wouldn't hurt. might get rid of some kinks or end a process that might've causing issues.
Anyone have any idea how to factory reset if I can't see the screen?

Have you tried a manual reboot? Hold power + volume down till the prime reboots.
Are you sure it's even powered on? heh j/k, had to say it.
If it's unresponsive and manual rebooting doesn't work, there's always waiting for battery to die. In my experience, Android seems to reboot itself after a while when there are freezing issues...
When I hold the power down it will vibrate every 10 seconds as if im cold booting it, and if I don't hold it down and wait for it to boot I can essentially unlock it and shut it down since I know where on the screen to press for shutdown. I know its shutting down cause after i press on the screen where shutdown button is, a few seconds later itll vibrate. So I'm pretty sure its the screen.
I remember reading somewhere here you can factory reset by holding down volume down then power button. And wait a few seconds realease them then either I leave it alone or press up or down volume and it will factory reset. I just don't remember the sequence. Anyone else remember? I think maybe juniriders recommendation will work.

Once it does cut back on, uninstall Google chrome browser immediately if you have it. Others that had same issue also just recently installed that app. They uninstalled it and device behaves normal again. Worth a shot if you do in fact have it installed.
Thanks for the input guys. Ill try the power + volume to factory reset. If its still wont come back on I assume its a screen issue.

Are You trying the reset button?
I don't know why I didn't think of this sooner. HDMI TO TV! So I was right that it is the screen issue cause I can see everything on the TV. Gonna back it up, factory reset and see if I can get it exchanged.

I've searched.
My note was running flapjaxx b5(lf6) with teamwin recovery 2.2.2.
Yesterday my phone just rebooted..after that my phone will not enter recovery...I get a pulsating vibrate when trying to enter... Black screen ...Now I can get to download mode but literally for only a few seconds...with or without jig...screen goes black then pulsating vibrate
Is there anything else that can be done

I have two evos and the other got stuck at the HTC boot screen where it says quietly brilliant. I didn't notice it was stuck since I had walked away and it overheated severely. I held the power to turn it off but from that point on I couldn't turn it on at all.
Any suggestions? Is it a lost cause?

Try plugging it in and letting it sit a while, let it cool down first, maybe the battery needs to recover, heat can damage the battery

what om4 said, it might just have been a heat issue...the same thing happens if your computer over heats, it will reboot/shutdown on its own to cool itself down
Thanks for your responses guys.... Unfortunately it still won't turn on, the charging light won't come on either after trying different chargers.
Is there a way to turn on the phone through ADB? I have never tried it but does anyone know if it's possible?
Sent from my EVO using xda premium
Nope
Isn't it possible to boot thru fastboot using 'fastboot reboot system' ? Provided you can get into your hboot.
Sent from my EVO using xda premium
If they said they could get to hboot but if you can't boot normally then you can't fastboot a reboot either
How would I get into hboot? When I plug it into my computer its still make noises and showing up not as the flash memory but something else

To get into hboot, power off, then hold volume down while pressing the power button. Then use volume to choose and power to select.

Yeah, if you plug in your phone to a computer (Linux is a bit better for this) do you get a new device discovery in Windows? Do you have some COM devices or Modems in your Device Manager in Windows?
You might be in the emergency download mode. There can be hope.
That's what I thought they were saying but then another post had me thinking I might be misunderstanding them
Yea it does exactly that when I plug it in, do you know what I should do?

There should be a tiny pinhole in which you insert a pin and you should feel a button press in. Hold it down for 10-15 seconds and this should perform a hard reset. Failng that install a new custom Rom as these tablets normally come already rooted.
Thanks
