Hi guys, new Gear Fit user here!
I've got a Galaxy Note 2 with Paranoid Android rom installed. The Gear refused to connect at first (with the "GFM has stopped working" message) but after following the procedure in the "Samsung Devices with Custom Roms" section here it finally worked.
I still have a few problems, hope you can help me:
- Tapping on "clocks" in the Homescreen menu results in a force close
- The "Fitness with Gear" app asks me to login to my Samsung Account, everything seems working but if I try to use the app it asks me to login again.
Thanks!

Hi! Just a couple of minutes ago I found your reply to the main thread and downloaded the 1.70...it works now, so thank you!
I wonder what we're missing with the new versions though

Same me, I am using Xperia Z. Tap "clock" tab then force closing.
Have you already resolve this problem.

Hi
As you can read a couple of posts above yours, beren suggested using v1.70 of the app. I have solved the problem using that, but sadly we cannot update above it.
hi,
firmware NG2 with GFM 1.70 works without force close at clocks (by custom roms)
Firmware NL1 with GFM 1.70 works with clocks at custom roms, too?

Delete the icon from the home screen and re-add it via the app draw or Widget locker if its a widget - Should resolve that issue.:good:
So I have Themer set to automatically update from the play store. After the most recent update (I believe version 1.21) Themer crashes every time I load it. I tried the obvious things such as restarting my phone with no luck. Running a Galaxy S3 on Android 4.3. Anyone else having issues?

no issues here I had major ones in last version but none in this.Have you tried to reboot the phone after update, may help.May be 4.3 related ,running 4.2.2 here
Since update, I can not run Themer either. It crashes every time I launch. I can not send report either.

wouldn't think it's your firmware version as I have the latest version running on a galaxy s3
Maybe this will help...
I recently had the same problem on my N5.
This is what worked for me - go into Themer Settings, click App Preferences and make sure that under both "Messaging" and "SMS" that you have selected your preferred messaging app.
@raw.jr.99 @BreakingParadigm @SilverhandX
Please uninstall then reinstall Themer. This will fix the issue.
We apologize for the inconvenience.

I'm still experiencing the same problem. It misses counting messages when they come from another Hangouts user. If they come in through a different source, for example Google Voice, it counts them. In my case a reinstall did not help.

For now, Themer only recognizes the default SMS, email and phone apps. We apologize for the inconvenience but 3rd party apps will be added in the near future :good:
Is anyone else getting this message(installation fails message) when trying to download a app from Galaxy app store for the Gear S?
Help needed. Thx.

I have the same problem. I've reinstalled just about everything, tried an older version of Gear Manager, all to no avail. I am running a custom/rooted ROM on my S4, so perhaps that is an issue? I don't have another stock phone I can check with.

Same here. In fact I scrubbed my phone and did a clean install of the ROM & all apps thinking it might help, but it made no difference at all. Samsung makes some amazing hardware, but their software architecture can be a real mess. Not only failing, but giving no real recourse or explanation, or alternate procedure. Sigh.
The gear app store is a hit and miss I get the same errors at times they need to make more apps for the Gear S instead of Rebranding the Gear 2 apps.
Hi All,
Wondering if anyone has had a similar issue, or maybe someone has a solution to my problem?
When I receive a notification on Gear Fit (WhatsApp, EvolveSMS, etc) I cannot see the content of the notification. It displays a placeholder message "For details, view this notification on yoru mobile device". With WhatsApp that's all I get. with EvolveSMS I get the message content in header and the the placeholder message udnerneath.
Samsung Galaxy S6 SM-G920F
Android 5.1.1 G920FXXU3COI9 (XtreStoLite Deo Mod v2.4)
Gear Fit Manager v. 1.127.0827
Gear Fit software v. R350XXU0BOA2
This started only a few days ago (somewhere between 15th and 19th Oct). I think Gear Fit Manager updated in those days.
Any suggestuions, welcome!
Thanks

Same issue here. I have S6 and it also started recently. Unfortunately, I don't know how to solve it.
Same problem.
Galaxy s4 SGH-M919
Android 4.4.4 KitKat
Just bought it today, No notification content from QK SMS, Netease Mail, and Facebook Lite
Is it because of the newest Gear Fit Manager?
I'm going to downgrade and check.
I managed to solve it. I uninstaled the Gear Fit manager and download it again from Samsung Apps. Now I can see full content of notification that Gear Fit show on it's screen.
I can confirm, it works

@Ninolina & @Qiangong2 : I tried that, but it's still the same. Did you have to also unpair Gear Fit and initialise it?

I can't remember exactly but you should definitely try that too if only new install didn't work. I hope you'll solve it. Let us know if that worked.

Unpaired and still doesn't work.
How about the Gear Fit installer? I'm trying to find out if I can reinstall it if I uninstall? Maybe just a data wipe? Will report back. Thanks for help.

So, you didn't totally uninstalled it and then made new installation? Only data wipe didn't worked for me. I previously wrote that I first uninstalled it and then installed it. You can find new file in Samsung Apps on your phone. Just in there and search for Gear Fit installer.

I uninstalled Gear Fit Manager and reinstalled from Samsung Apps. (didn't work)
Unpaired Gear Fit and reset, paired again (didn't work)
Wiped data on Gear Fit Installer, uninstalled and reinstalled Gear Fit Manager, reset and paired Gear Fit (didn't work).
I wonder what else is there that I can do?

Well, we even use the same ROM. Did you flashed Aroma Add-on for the ROM? There is an option for Gear Fit support. I did flash that too. Maybe you can try reflashing only Add-on and you only choose that option. All others you can leave unchecked. Then you repeat uninstalling and installing the Gear Fit Manager again.
I really hope this will work.

Could it be that the Deo mod you have is interfering with the gear fit manager somehow?

I don't think the modded firmware causes any issues. @Ninolina has the same firmware and it is a deflated Samsung stock rom.
I'll unpair again. Thanks.
Hi, I would like to ask if you already have some experience with the Fit Manager on Android sixth I tried all the versions on my LG G3 but unfortunately without success. You do not like someone experiences when back upload the Androd 5 whether it will be? Thank you once again. And I apologize for my English.

Im using also Test2, also you have to flash R350XXU0BOA2 firmware.

I finally use my Samsung Gear Fit with my LG G3 Marshmallow
The only way that I can do it, it´s using openfit app, beacuse The Fit manager crashes every time I tried.
So you want to use this excellent smart watch, only with openfit, there´s no other way to make it work.
Hi from La Paz, Baja California Sur, Mexico... Visit as facebook.com/djwero.:good:
hello, just want to share my case.
LG V10 Marshmallow
GF: R350XXU0BOA2
gear fit manager v. 1.92.1110 (this is the only version can work with & not force close)
GearFitInstaller v. 2.9
it's a bit works on notifications like whatsapp, gmail, facebook, you will get the notifications, you can see the message from whom but can't see the message content......not works on calls, alarm and no notification selection for schedule.
it can't be reconnected automatically, i have to off & on the phone's bluetooth myself to make it reconnect. but if i restart my phone, it can't be reconnected until i unpair the gear fit from bluetooth & pair again (data still there).
expecting workable version for full functions
can' connect my gear with gear fit manager app
My zenfone 2 android 6 operating system, i installed gear fit manager software failed "unfortunately Gear Fit Manager has stopped". I have installed some gear fit manager versions like "gearfitmanager_no_crash" and "gearmanager_lollipop51_test_2_signed" but can not connect to gear fit. Please help me, Thank alot.
