So as the subject reads, has anyone been able to get the shutdownanimation to work on the Verizon LG G3? I've installed the intl boot and shutdown animations and was able to get the boot to work without a hitch but the shutdown just won't work. Did the same thing on my wife's AT&T LG G3 and didn't have any issues. If anyone can help i welcome any feedback. Thanks.

It should work if you aren't using a custom power screen.
If you are using a custom shutdown, reboot, screenshot, etc. screen with the power button via Xposed, it will not work.

Care to elaborate? I'm not sure I understand? I don't believe there ever was a stock shut down animation on the Verizon LG G3 so there was never one to begin with. I'm not sure you understand what I'm asking. I installed a custom boot animation and a custom shut down animation front the Intl variant of the G3. Boot animation work but shutdown animation doesn't which I want to get to work. I did this on my wife's G3 and I worked just fine using the same steps I did on my G3 only difference is she has at&t and I have Verizon. What could be wrong?

I'm using G3TWB on my Verizon G3 and I'm using the option to have more items in my Power/Shut Down Menu, like Torch, and Shut Down Animation doesn't work for new either. I believe that's what he was referring to. An Xposed Module that interferes with the actual Power/Shutdown Menu.
That's how I took it. Didn't know that before either but I can see how that makes sense.
- Tapatalked from the G3
G3 tweak box
Hmm let me try to disable the advance power menu and see if that works
Edit: Nope, doesn't work. I disabled apm and then G3 Tweaks and nothing. I don't think it has anything to do with Xposed cause i have Xposed installed on my wife's AT&T G3 and it works fine both boot and shutdown animations so it has to be something to do with the Verizon variant. Any ideas?

OK, I've seen the videos of the Thunderbolt with fast boot, booting up in like 10 seconds. I have fast boot enabled but it still takes over a minute to boot. Any thoughts on what I can do to fix this?
I don't know if this was coincidence but I noticed that on mine after I checked fast boot it was still slow to boot. Tried it a second time and it loaded in about 12 sec. The first time might have been getting it setup in cache or something, don't quote me on that though.
Same. Fast boot seemed like a normal reboot to me.

I've tried everything, removed all apps and rebooted several times - still slow booting. I wiped the device and then rebooted several times and still all slow boot. I've posted this on various forums and so far I've seen a few people that fast boot is not working. As of yet no one has came across a fix that I've seen.
Ate you using a custom launcher?

This might sound dumb but just checking.
Fast boot only works when you power down using power off form the power menu.
If you choose reboot it does not do anything with fastboot.
Are you choosing reboot or shutdown then pressing the power button?

I'm holding in the power button and choosing "Power off/Shut phone down" option.
Just to make sure I'm not just over looking the obvious. All I should have to do is
1. Go into Settings -> Power and check Fast Boot
2. Hold in power button and choose shut down
a. Phone turns off
3. Hold power button in to "fast boot"
Is that correct? Or is their a hidden step? lol I'm starting to get paranoid that I'm just blatantly overlooking a setting.

That sounds write. When you boot back up and go into setting is the fast boot option still checked?
Yes it's still checked. If it were just my phone I would say it's defective, but the fact that my friend got his same time I got mine and it's doing the same thing really makes me want to think I'm just missing something.
Does it show you the very first htc screen?
The one that just says htc NOT the one that says htc quietly brilliant.

It does show the "HTC" screen. Here is a video of it booting up that I took earlier today, in case it helps. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4kDOgM0g1vo
Thanks for the video its helpful.
On my that screen does not show when i use fast boot.
And when i use fast boot i dont need to hold the power button that long.
So for some reason your phone it not doing the fast boot.
Can you check the difference in time it takes to turn off with the option on and off?
I believe it turns off faster when fast boot is on.
But i am really out of ideas. very odd.
Another dumb question. Is the fast boot option also checked under settings>applications?
With option unchecked:
Turn off time: 15.8 seconds
Boot time: 59.4 seconds to lock screen
With option checked:
Turn off time: 24.1 seconds
Boot time: 58.8 seconds to lock screen
I had my friend check his wife's phone and fast boot is doing the same on it. I'm really inclined to say I'm missing something, but I just don't see it. I'm not new to android, I've had an android device since the Moto Droid and have rooted them, restored them, backed them up, put custom roms on them, etc... I'm really starting to feel stupid though

yupp mines doing it too, i have it checked in and it loads as if its not clicked, which is fine since fastboot is only putting the only in hibernation mode and not really restarting it, just another way to make it look as if it has a fast boot, which it doesnt

You always have many choices when you have problems like this. First reboot your phone and if that does not work then simply hard reset your phone. If that does not work then you need to do a cwm flash. If that doesn't work or you don't have cwm (shame on you if you don't) then you need to do a offline flash method. When you get this fixed you need to make sure you get a cwm backup so that when you have trouble like this then you can always revert back to your original "safe" ROM. Good Luck!
So this isn't really a big deal but when my screen turns off it turns off like a tv where as when it turns on it just pops up like normal. Is this just how it is with ROMs or is there a way to change it back. I noticed this was happening too with my LG Esteem.

Depending on the ROM you should be able to disable CRT animation in display settings or general rom settings.

Odd. I wouldn't be surprised if someone has created a mod to remove the CRT animation. Check the mod threads and see. You can always try requesting the mod, or even ask in the rom thread for a toggle.

If you phone is an anything but the original MDK bootloader there is no way to downgrade back to MDK.
MDK is the only bootloader that can be used to flash this rom.
Safestrap is the only way you can flash custom roms if you are not on MDK, and any rom that supports Safestrap should say so in the OP.
How to tell if I am on MDK? And if i am not can i flash this rom with safestrap?

The easiest way is to download Phone Info Samsung from the play store, that will tell you what bootloader you are on.
And no, this ROM is not Safestrap compatible,

Recent Apps No-Show
Recent apps are not showing with home button long-press. The OmniSwitch works, but it's not quite as handy.
The mic mute in the phone is also grayed out, which is odd.

Flashlight / Battery
I am coming from Carbon rom and I have to say this is a very decent rom. I am however experiencing some issues and have some requests.
Issue A) Battery life drain is pretty severe. 40% battery left with screen being at 1hr 25m of use. Can't find a reason for it. Phone idle and cell standby are only at 1%
Feature request A) Battery stat including total time off charger. As it stands now the graph gives a vauge layout rather than stating "8hrs 54min off charger"
Feature request B) On carbon rom, I had the ability to do a long press on the home button lockscreen to turn the flashlight on. I would settle for replacing the lockscreen camera function with this. Can't find it anywhere.
Other than that, this rom is fantastic! Thanks for all your work.

Any way to get some Kernel tweaks? (Fast charge, over/under clock, etc...)
Would it be possible to have the location button on the Status Bar quick settings cycle through the options, rather than on/off?

I've been running DU since March and the past 2 releases haven't worked well for me. It has fixed somethings but other things aren't working or still haven't changed in this build.
Issues I'm still having from a fresh install of the recent 9.4:
During phone calls the screen goes black and doesn't come back until call has ended.
Custom button for home doesn't do anything. If I set it to hold and go to recent apps then hit it again it will work but otherwise it doesn't do anything.
SMS seems to have issues sending or receiving photos. I've had it work for sending and work for receiving but never for both in Lollipop.
Lag of a few seconds from menu button to open the unlock screen
Pulldown menu doesn't contain app notifications anymore (I've tried all settings)
Adblock ceased to work anymore and resets adaway as well
Music volume toggle to switch tracks has stopped working
Because of all these issues and since it's my daily driver I might need to switch to another rom or go pure CM. I've had a good ride with DU especially since they were the first to give Lollipop access but these issues have been persistent through 5.02 - 5.1.1 and I need a phone that has basic functions like calling someone properly working.
Could I flash this, and use an att sim? Ty
No service after flashing 9.7
Never mind... flashed the exx version, not the vzn version... working great now!
Is anyone successfully using the following xposed modules on your rooted stock v10 MM. I've had crashes, loops, errors with each at different points but really liked them. Not sure if they are conflicting with other modules or what but would like to re-enable
PerfectColorBar
AndroidNify
Fingerprint Enabler
Boot Manager (I'm pretty sure this one is fine but I haven't enabled it since I had a boot loop the led to brick)
Any insight on working versions you're using would be awesome. Especially for nify and perfectcolorbar
I've searched those forums for V10 already and answers are convoluted
I use finger print enabler no issue. Although on boot the screen still says unable to unlock with finger on startup but if you place your finger on the scanner without pressing the power button it unlocks.
