Hello,
The widget was showing me a "strange" next event.
I was not seeing it going into my calendar.
Then I had an idea:cyclops: I choosed to display the calendar of my daughter, and voilĂ , in fact it was one of her reminder :silly:
So, in summary, next event is showing event from other calendars that are not ticked.
Is it since last upgrade ?
Cheers

We haven't received any other complaints about this as of yet, but we'll keep an eye on it

i love the htc calendar widget, except that its off by one day. for example, tomorrow is my friends birthday, which is an all day event. my hero widget says its today. same thing happens if i have an appointment set for tomorrow. in the calendar it shows up properly. if my friends birthday was in two days, today it would show the event as "tomorrow" and tomorrow it would show it as "today." any ideas/help?
nobody else has this or knows how to fix it?
I have the same problem but don't know how to fix it. I'm also not able edit the event either.
This is kinda strange. I have this 'error' on just one of my contacts birthdays. All other contacts/tascs etc gets the correct date.
yeah, its doing it on every calendar event for me.
I had this issue over the weekend, but a restart of the phone SEEMS to have fixed it...
same problem.. i think its the manufacture problem..
What Rom Code did you use? No issue with my stock Rom code.

stock. issue still remains with 1.56
I have had this issue on three Sprint Hero's. The problem occurs only with All-Day appointments, and it happens in two places: on the "Event Details" screen and in the smaller of the two HTC Calendar widgets. In all other places (the main calendar, the event editing screen) the dates are fine. It is an infuriating bug, and makes the smaller of the two calendar widgets unusable. I thought HTC would surely fix it in the first maintenance release, but they did not! How something like this could get past QA is amazing...!
Change time zone
Did you change time zone when the issue happened? it may the root cause.

Both my wife and I have a HP Touchpad. Her calendar however also show holidays while mine doesn't. At the top of the calendar she sees 3 calendar toggles: "HP webOS", "Google" and "Holidays". Mine only shows "HP webOS" and "Google".
Looking at her preferences, she only has two accounts activated (as do I): "HP webOS" and "Google".
For the life of me, I can't find where to enable those holidays on my calendar. My wife doesn't use the calendar so she never installed/changed any options.
Does anyone have an idea how I can enabled the holidays in my calendar?
1 second google search

Ok, that's pretty darn cool!
Another question (it has nothing do to with the topic's original question but I don't want to start a new thread for every little question I have):
How can I add a birthday to a contact on the Touchpad? Oddly enough, when a contact already has a birthday, I can simply edit the contact (from within the "Contacts" app), tap "Birthday" and edit/delete the birthday. But when this field is empty, tapping the birthday field does nothing - I can't add a contacts birthday.
This is quite frustrating and I can't seem to find a solution to this. I have birthdays and anniversaries entered for my contacts which are sync'd to my phone as well. Most of the birthdays and anniversaries show up in my calendar on my phone but some don't. Doesn't appear to be any rhyme or reason to it either. I noticed that on my HTC Evo LTE I can go to Calendar and specify which calendars it displays. Inside here there is the 'Contacts birthday's & Events' like what I have displayed on my Google Calendar on my PC and the color is yellow. The interesting part is that there is another calendar option called 'People' that is green and I think is an HTC Sense thing but am not 100% on this. The interesting part is that if I choose to display this all of my contact's dates are displayed in duplicate but some extra ones also display.. the ones that don't display on my yellow calendar. One might think the simple solution would be to uncheck the yellow one and check the green one and be done with it but there are also dates that show up on the yellow calendar that don't show up on the green one. The weird part is they BOTH take info from the same source so I don't understand this difference. I went through my contacts making sure they were all added to my 'Friends' group as I think this may have something to do with what events show and what not but it doesn't seem to help.
What gives? What am I doing wrong or what options should I be looking for to correct this? I've already missed a couple anniversaries and b-days a result and it's frustrating because when I realize I missed it I go to my contacts and there it is listed within the contact info but it never displayed in the calendar for some reason.
Someone who knows the calendars please help me out with this problem.
Anyone?
If anyone else has this issue I was able to uncheck the calendars that were currently selected, back out to let it refresh and then go back in and check them once again to get it to work. I'll keep my eye on it and see if it stays fixed but after backing back out the second time there were birthdays there that weren't prior to this little dance. If you're having this issue try giving that a shot.

Works for me, thanks!
Thanks for this thread! I can't believe 2 years later this problem is still occurring with Android (I'm on 4.4.2).
I experience this problem anytime I add a contact's birthday (or another date) to my contacts. In order for it to show up on my calendar, I need to select "Calendars to sync" in calendar settings, then uncheck "Contacts' birthdays & events", back out to the calendar, then go back into "Calendars to sync" and re-select "Contacts' birthdays & events". Once I back out to the calendar again it refreshes within a few seconds and the new date(s)/event(s) finally appear on the calendar.
Just performing those steps in the "Calendars to display" menu doesn't work.
[SOLVED]: Realized that my time zone in outlook.com was different than the one on Outlook 2013. Changing the time zones to match has fixed my problem.
When I use Outlook 2013 to create an appointment on Monday any time after 16:00 (4:00 pm), the appointment gets pushed to the Sunday on the phone.
If I tap into the appointment, the event date will still say "Monday" but its pinned location on the calendar is on Sunday.
Can anyone try reproducing this?
Process:
Create an appointment on Monday at 16:30 (4:30 pm) on Outlook 2013
Sync the calendar with your phone
Check your phone calendar to see if the phone pinned the event on the following Sunday or the Sunday before
Thanks much!
What gets pinned to the live tile is the notification, which goes 24h earlier than the event originates. The alarm itself will go off at the time u have specified. It sux big time, but I dunno how to by-pass this. Tried everything

Oh I'm not talking about the live tile. I'm talking about the location of the event in the calendar app itself. Are your notifications going off too early?
Just for the birthdays which r downloaded from FB, they go off exactly 1 day earlier - it seems that this is the default setting and cannot be altered.

That's interesting. Facebook doesn't display birthdays on my phone at all. Do I have to enable it somewhere?
Go to ur calendar settings, and there enable birthday calendar.
So I noticed today that all events including "holidays" that are built into calander and other events marked as "all day events" such as if you enter someone's birthday appear to have some glitch.
So far I've noted this glitch only happens if you use the calendar widget or any external link to the event from the home screen and will not occur if you open the calander app from launcher and actually select the day of the event to open from the main calendar screen.
The problem:
If an event is marked as an all day event and it is opened from the widget or a link to the event anywhere EXCEPT opening the event from the calendar app, it will open the event with the correct information but it will SHOW THE DAY AND DATE BEFORE THE CORRECT DAY.
Example: click on veterans day event on Wednesday November 11 from widget and it opens showing the correct times but the event to be on Tuesday November 10. I've also noticed that if it is a recurring event such as yearly it monthly it shows the start date also a day earlier then it should be.
I've tried deleting the event and re adding it from 1201 am start time and ending at 1159pm the same day and this does not happen which to me indicates that it happens only to events that are selected as all day events in the check box. And yes I've confirmed multiple times the dates are correct when I create the event.
Please take a second and see if anyone else is having this problem. Just add the widget to your home screen find any event in your calander marked as an all day event such as a holiday and open it from the widget and see if the day is one day earlier then it should be. Then open the app from the launcher and see if it displays as the correct day and date from the main app.
Thanks!
