So I noticed today that all events including "holidays" that are built into calander and other events marked as "all day events" such as if you enter someone's birthday appear to have some glitch.
So far I've noted this glitch only happens if you use the calendar widget or any external link to the event from the home screen and will not occur if you open the calander app from launcher and actually select the day of the event to open from the main calendar screen.
The problem:
If an event is marked as an all day event and it is opened from the widget or a link to the event anywhere EXCEPT opening the event from the calendar app, it will open the event with the correct information but it will SHOW THE DAY AND DATE BEFORE THE CORRECT DAY.
Example: click on veterans day event on Wednesday November 11 from widget and it opens showing the correct times but the event to be on Tuesday November 10. I've also noticed that if it is a recurring event such as yearly it monthly it shows the start date also a day earlier then it should be.
I've tried deleting the event and re adding it from 1201 am start time and ending at 1159pm the same day and this does not happen which to me indicates that it happens only to events that are selected as all day events in the check box. And yes I've confirmed multiple times the dates are correct when I create the event.
Please take a second and see if anyone else is having this problem. Just add the widget to your home screen find any event in your calander marked as an all day event such as a holiday and open it from the widget and see if the day is one day earlier then it should be. Then open the app from the launcher and see if it displays as the correct day and date from the main app.
Thanks!

i love the htc calendar widget, except that its off by one day. for example, tomorrow is my friends birthday, which is an all day event. my hero widget says its today. same thing happens if i have an appointment set for tomorrow. in the calendar it shows up properly. if my friends birthday was in two days, today it would show the event as "tomorrow" and tomorrow it would show it as "today." any ideas/help?
nobody else has this or knows how to fix it?
I have the same problem but don't know how to fix it. I'm also not able edit the event either.
This is kinda strange. I have this 'error' on just one of my contacts birthdays. All other contacts/tascs etc gets the correct date.
yeah, its doing it on every calendar event for me.
I had this issue over the weekend, but a restart of the phone SEEMS to have fixed it...
same problem.. i think its the manufacture problem..
What Rom Code did you use? No issue with my stock Rom code.

stock. issue still remains with 1.56
I have had this issue on three Sprint Hero's. The problem occurs only with All-Day appointments, and it happens in two places: on the "Event Details" screen and in the smaller of the two HTC Calendar widgets. In all other places (the main calendar, the event editing screen) the dates are fine. It is an infuriating bug, and makes the smaller of the two calendar widgets unusable. I thought HTC would surely fix it in the first maintenance release, but they did not! How something like this could get past QA is amazing...!
Change time zone
Did you change time zone when the issue happened? it may the root cause.

I have a user who's Eris has a recurring appointment that shows up 1 hour earlier than it's scheduled to be. He's syncing through Exchange and the appointment shows up at the proper time in Outlook, just not on his phone.
Manually changing each event works but if you try to change the entire series it stays at the incorrect time.
The originator of the appointment won't be back until next week otherwise I would have her delete the meeting and resend it. Any thoughts on what might be going on? All of his other appointments are on time. This seems to be the only one.

Maybe the time zone or DST is off on his phone?
I have the same problem as this with an HD2 running a Desire Android build (MDJ FroYo Sense Clean v. 2.4 [kernel: MDJ S6.1)
I have used HTC Sync to sync my Outlook calendar and contacts to my HD2. This is all OK but the appointment times in both Android and HTC sense calendars are showing as 1 hour early, i.e. Appointment with real start time of 10:00 shows as 09:00.
My time settings all appear to be OK, GMT+0, London for UK. Time is correct. Auto update is enabled and working.
What is more weird is that I have installed the Android version of Pocket Informant, as I use this in WM6.5.x mode, and this shows the times correctly.
I've searched forums for solution and found many fixes for incorrect GMT settings or DST problems, but these do not seem to fit with this issue as Clock times appear to be OK.
Not sure if this is a problem with this build, or a more general Android problem.
Any thoughts gratefully received.
Andy
Well, better than and hour late ;-p

Alright, I'll be brief. I set up several recurring events on Google Calendar and when I sync my Android Calendar the recurrence and location are deleted. I'm left with just the original start date with only an event name.
I searched the forums and didn't find this posted yet.
Steps taken to duplicate problem:
Create a recurring event with Google Calendar on PC.
Give the event a title, description, location and recurrence (8:00 every Mon at "White House" for example).
Sync Google Calendar with Android Phone
Wait ~15 mins or reboot
Only the original event is left with just an event title. Recurrence and location wiped.
I'm not sure what is causing this, it's happened on every single ROM I've tried so far (GB, ICS and JB). Changing kernel makes no difference.
Can anyone else confirm this or is there perhaps a known solution?

I cannot give you a solution, but the problem most certainly exists on your phone, possibly a rogue app? I have multiple recurrent meetings and they show just fine - some are at least a year old. Recent (new) daily and weekly meetings show up as well.
Good luck,

[SOLVED]: Realized that my time zone in outlook.com was different than the one on Outlook 2013. Changing the time zones to match has fixed my problem.
When I use Outlook 2013 to create an appointment on Monday any time after 16:00 (4:00 pm), the appointment gets pushed to the Sunday on the phone.
If I tap into the appointment, the event date will still say "Monday" but its pinned location on the calendar is on Sunday.
Can anyone try reproducing this?
Process:
Create an appointment on Monday at 16:30 (4:30 pm) on Outlook 2013
Sync the calendar with your phone
Check your phone calendar to see if the phone pinned the event on the following Sunday or the Sunday before
Thanks much!
What gets pinned to the live tile is the notification, which goes 24h earlier than the event originates. The alarm itself will go off at the time u have specified. It sux big time, but I dunno how to by-pass this. Tried everything

Oh I'm not talking about the live tile. I'm talking about the location of the event in the calendar app itself. Are your notifications going off too early?
Just for the birthdays which r downloaded from FB, they go off exactly 1 day earlier - it seems that this is the default setting and cannot be altered.

That's interesting. Facebook doesn't display birthdays on my phone at all. Do I have to enable it somewhere?
Go to ur calendar settings, and there enable birthday calendar.
Hello,
The widget was showing me a "strange" next event.
I was not seeing it going into my calendar.
Then I had an idea:cyclops: I choosed to display the calendar of my daughter, and voilĂ , in fact it was one of her reminder :silly:
So, in summary, next event is showing event from other calendars that are not ticked.
Is it since last upgrade ?
Cheers
