I took the phone off the charger last night right before I went to bed at 100% and I woke up with 58% battery remaining. I don't understand what happened during the 8 hours I was asleep to now.
I attached 2 pictures from wakelock detector. The first one is CPU wakelock the second one is wake up triggers. Can anyone help me understand what happened?

Are you rooted?? If you are enable advanced Mode in WakeLock Detector then see what's showing up for you.
Or grab Better Battery Stats and post what your Partial WakeLocks and Alarms are.
If I had to guess I'd say maybe it's too do with your WiFi, Location settings, maybe even a rogue app or two but from the screen shots you posted that really doesn't seem to be the case.

Well like I said could be a number of things. Just for starters though you could make sure WiFi Always Scanning is turned off and turn off Location when not in use. Could try also use the Xposed Module NipUnBounce to limit your Location based WakeLocks so it's not waking you phone up every minute.
Also if you don't already use Greenify try that.
There's also the WakeLock Terminator app you can get from Play Store if you need it.
Seeing what your a Partial WakeLocks and Alarms are though will really help so take screen shots of those if you can.

Hello everyone,
From yesterday i started facing a strange issue due to which i am experiencing serious battery draining issues.
My battery started draining 1-2% every 5 min in idle mode after i played a game named crazy fist . next day i factory resetted my phone. In idle now it is not consuming any power but when i do some work on my phone , it consumes alot of battery and it.drins like 1% every 2-2.5 min.
Charging time is normal. But discharge is pretty fast.
So i checked thr battery usage inside settings.and noticed that my display is consuming about 41% of the battery and android os arnd 13%. I am not sure qbout os usage but thr diaplay is consuming too much power. I think initially it used to consume 13-20(max)%.
Or is the usage correct? I am using sgs2 stock midel and have no intentions to root it.
Kindly assist and reply asap. Thanks in.advance,
Siddhanth
the display on the galaxy s2 does drain alot of battery if your using it for quite a while..thats what they call screen on time..my battery was draining fast and i panicked... when you do use your phone how long do you use it? say do you use to browse like for a good hour non stop?
if you was rooted i could of gave you some options but here is a link to help you read and give you some tips on battery life...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1234264
charge your phone fully and drain it without switching it off..charge it again without taking it off charger i say leave it for a good few hours...do the same thing for a few charging cycles and see what the battery like is after that..but check the link
But this strange thing happened to me aftrr 1month.
I wss never rooted.
I mean this is the first time my display is consuming 59-61% of the overall battery. is this normal and does it hsppen to u too?

i thought the same as you buddy. never realised it in the start when i had my s2 but then checking the battery usage and i panicked...its normal for the display to drain the battery alot..
change your brightness to auto and there is an option in settings and display where you can tick to have the display autoadjusted. thats for brightness..
or do what i do and have your brightness on the lowest settings and see how it goes from there...fully charge your battery let it say for 6 hours then let it drain till it dies down without any breaks and then charge it again to the max..do the same thing for a few times and check whats the battery after a few days...

when calibrated your phone you leave it on of course and charge it without any interuptions...when you let it drain with out any breaks like switching it on and off, once it dies down then plug to charge it.....it will charge and it will give you the battery icon...once its fully charged you can see by the battery when its fully green switch your phone and your good to go...

I have a stock rom. and i dont want to change the rom before my warranty period gets over.

Hey guys!
Have a little question my battery drains down during night from 85% to 35 % don't know why.
Have checkrom v6 and neak kernel with undervilting. What can be the fail. It went into deepsleep but "Android Os" is working all time?? 16 hrs lifetime and 10 hrs cpu usage very strange

Install BetterBatteryStats & let it run overnight again. You've obviously got wakelocks keeping the phone awake & causing the drain. BBS will help you identify these.
You can find it in the thread on here or on Google Play.

have installed BetterBatteryStats now.
i need to look at the "Partial Wakelocks" ? or where can i look for?
//
is there any problem? have made some screen captures !
You need to let your phone run for a reasonable amount of time to get meaningful stats from BBS (6-8 hrs/overnight in your case given the drain is happening overnight).
Edit to add - Yeah, partial wakelocks are where you need to look. Just having a quick look at those that alarm clock you're using obviously has a few, as does GTalk (doesn't mean you're actually using GTalk, this means something on your phone is/was trying to communicate with Google servers, and Facebook service as well.
I recommend having a look at the BBS thread on here & if necessary post your screen shots there. Guys who post there regularly will be more likely to be able to give you specific help than me.
Further edit to add - Don't waste time/money with 'battery calibrator software'. Everyone (should) know(s) it is not possible to 'calibrate' an SGS2 battery Also, Google have confirmed delete battery stats does exactly that - deletes battery stats. Nothing else. Has no bearing on/doesn't affect anything.
i can tell u the usual
try recalibrating ur batter through battery calibrator software wipe battery stats from cwm if u are rooted and try turning of 3g and lowering brightness

I am getting some strange battery behaviour.
My device will turn itself fully off when sleeping about once a day. The power use graph often has strange jumps in it as well.
I've tried resetting battery stats but it's not made a difference.
Any ideas what could be causing it or how to fix it?
I've been having the same issue for the past few days. I've also been having a good amount of crashes. I am thinking about starting completely over: Odin back to 3.2, reinstalling CWM, and then trying the nightlies again. If that doesn't make it more stable, I may try Task 14 (HC).

Well first, I would not recommend Juice Defender. I have heard that it causes the batter to drain more.
Secondly, the stats are only for not even 3 hrs. If you want a proper reading of what is draining battery it needs to be longer, if possible.
EDIT: What rom/kernel are you running? And did you do a full wipe when you flashed them?

I need an app that turns the wi-fi off when i'm not using it as I find wi-fi being creates a big battery drain. JuiceDefender has served me well for that purpose for years. Any other apps you can recommend for automatically turning off the connections?

I was running CyanogenMod 9 Nightlies Galaxy Tab 10.1 WIFI, then after a week switched to [ICS]Ganbarou GT-P7500/7501/7510/7511 CM9, and I am now as of yesterday on [JB][AOSP][ALPHA] Android 4.1.1 - Jelly Bean - [GT-P7510], full wipe as usual for them all, bar JellyBean where I had to return to stock first.
I've had the same power problem on them all, but i've noticed i've managed a 10hr stretch on JellyBean, so stats are attached.
Problem fixed.
I installed the Jelly Bean alpha, but it was still happening, so I drained the battery completely, then charged it fully, and that fixed the problem.
Been having battery issues the past couple days. Looks like my phone isn't dozing compared to before the issue, the battery graph would stay a flat line and barely discharge over night. I screenshot last night's discharge, went to bed with approx 95%and woke up around 70.
Sorry if this has been discussed somewhere, I searched but could not find. Recently switched back to Android, hope I don't regret it lol. I'm not rooted or on any custom ROM
If anyone has suggestions I'd greatly appreciate it
My two cents: try checking what app or service is consuming the battery under settings>battery and try to close it. In my experience, Android, even with the Doze feature, doesn't stand up to apple's standy consumption and app freeze.
From the screenshots it is a wakelock from android OS and this is actually a bug with stock rom in g5. Ive had this wakelock number of times on my H830 and this happens randomly after charging your battery to 100 percent. The only solution to this is to keep an eye on the battery section for 20 to 30 minutes after charging your phone and if there is the long wake time for android OS then reboot phone.
Rebooting the phone gets rid of the wakelock until it randomly occurs
On the sidenote for my tmobile Lg g5 a few things causes this wakelock
Manually turning on the lollipop battery saver
Restricting background data on the data section
Mostly after charging my phone
Hope i helped and just test out which action actually causes the wakelock and avoid it until there is a fix for non rooted phone/reboot phone more often
Thanks for the tips. I just did a clean wipe so I'll what happens. The wake lock issue is definitely not something I can live with though. Only way around it right now would be a custom ROM? Was hoping to avoid messing with all that this time around

When you sleep, does your phone sleep, or does it stay up all night and crunch 1s and 0s? Rate this thread to express how you deem the speed at which the LG G6's battery drains under standby conditions. A higher rating indicates that when the phone is not in use, the battery drains minimally.
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!
I have been on and off mine all day without heavy use due to being at work, and by the time night came without me charging I was around 79%. This is from 5AM to 11PM. But I must admit... I went into the sttings and set EVERYTHING as inactive that I was able to do so and recommend everyone do it. The apps will never turn on or activate unless you manually open one in which case it will then stay active. It's great for apps that do crap in the background which you never use anyway. Oh, and I use Greenify as well, and always keep my tasks clear. So yeah... I'm used to saving battery by habit so my experience is different from most.
My standby time has been brutal... Would not be using my phone for around 1 hr and then id see my battery drop from a 36 to 30.... I closed all apps and even used the smart cleaner to get rid of some.. I dont know whats the problem to be honest. If they can fix the standby drain i could honestly reach for 5 to even 6 hours of screen on time
My standby has been really good, I can leave it off charge overnight and can only go down 2% or so, but once I start using it the % drops heavily after 5 minutes or so. I've got to go through the settings to turn off notifications because I've noticed apps like candy crush giving me notifications

Did you hook your phone up to a computer and use the ADB commands to enable Greenify's aggressive doze? That really helped me, Nougat's built-in doze is still crap compared to Greenify. Also, setting WiFi to inactive while display is off, as well as enabling data saver in data management to restrict mobile background data for all apps helps greatly with wakelocks. Also everyone should consider disabling certain notifications from apps like Maps and Assistant which can create a lot of wakelocks.
I wrote a few tips to help with battery life on Nougat in the G5 section, but it should apply here as well:

Standby time wears on you depending on what apps you got running
?????
I found the culprit. Apparently one of my skin apps was causing wakelocks keeping the phone awake the whole time. Deleted it and installed greenify, will see how things goes

Honestly dont know how to fix this standby drain.. If ibhad root i would easily find the culprit through betterbatterystats but since i dont have that, cant seem to figure out why my standby drain is so high.
