You're currently on the latest official released firmware.
There is nc5d update.zip on the forums. Installs from stock recovery and patches a bunch of files. Be on a unmodified nc5 for it to pass checks and install.
Whenever next ota comes though you might have to go back to nc5 again though to get it.
New one just released for v4.4.4
Called nh7

ive seen that thread it says if you have mdk do not take that update, im looking for a stock rom if there will be one available,
thanks for the help
Don't take any OTA or flash anything in Odin except MDK. Just give the devs time to update their Roms Then flash as normal. 4.3 just dropped they will update just hang in there. And there will be stock Roms available.
A good choice if you like the stock feel. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2384362

Hey guys, sorry for the newbie question.
Is there any ROMS available for the 4.2.2 MI1 build? I wanted to download the Hyperdrive but it's saying that I need the base 4.3 version.
I've tried to update the phone but for some reason, it keeps saying error when I try to update OTA.
How do I upgrade to the base 4.3 version?
Or how is there any ROMS available for the 4.2.2?
Sorry for the newbie question, I have tried the search function.

you can download hyperdrive 10.2 which is the old 4.2 version. i think that's it for 4.2
if you want to update you need to unroot before you take the ota

Thank you! That helps a lot.
So what I need to do is unroot, install OTA upgrades, reroot, install Safestrap, and then install Hyperdrive..correct?

I've been rooting and flashing roms since 2011. I just purchased and rooted my sprint note 3. I then flashed both AOSb and then PAC rom with no problems whatsoever. My rom finger got itchy, and I wanted to flash a new rom so I tried freeza's custom rom. I have the latest twrp recovery installed. I wiped and formatted the phone. Flashed the rom and gapps and got stuck in a boot loop. I then tried kitkatkiller, sacs, and team blazed roms and got stuck in a boot loop with each of those. However I can still flash both AOSB and PACroms and they work fine. Can anyone tell me what is going on? Am i going to have to restore it to stock?

If you want to flash these roms you have to have the 4.4.2 bootloader for them to boot. .. Once you go to 4.4.2 you can't go back to 4.3 ... easiest way is to download the nab tar and use Odin to go to 4.4.2

Uhm, not so sure. I believe that those roms employ the 4.3 MJ4 build.
Once you're on TouchWiz KitKat for our device, there is no going back.

You're showing your n00bness if you're infering micmars is a troll. He's probably the most active on these forums with helping others. Anyway...I digress...Not sure if the AOSP builds will serve as a base to flash TW based ROMS from. I'd HIGHLY encourage you to use one of the NAB tars that are posted...flash it in Odin. Reboot...let it settle, go through setup...verify everything is working. Back into download mode, and Odin the latest TWRP for KitKat. Reboot..verify it's installed correctly...nandroid next as a fallback position. Copy over the 4.4 TW ROM you want to flash, then do so from TWRP. Profit!
Good luck

Tried flashing to stock mj4 thru Odin and what I get at the end is...
Secure check fail modem...
So does this mean I'm already running on the nabd bootloader?

It means your status is custom, and may be that your on the NAB bootloader.
If you never flashed the NAB tar or one-click, then you most likely are not.
Try factory reset of your device, and flash again. But be careful. Only you know what was on your device prior to installing your AOSP rom.
Look in the Q&A forum. There is a post thread by @SantinoInc whom started with AOSP, and was able to get to where you are headed.
As noted, my knowledge of AOSP roms is thin at best. I only know that they began with MJ4.

As I thought I was able to reset my phone using stock 4.4.2 firmware and was able to flash roms from that part. Thanks for the help.
Well, for one, none of the Touchwiz based ROMs need gapps. That's probably your issue.
I am still running MC3, rooted with casual. I have read one post in the developer section that said I had to upgrade to MJ9 first before I can flash ND7. Is that correct? Since I have already a custom recovery, it doesn't make much sense to my why. Could someone please clarify or explain.
Thanks In advance
You do not flash MJ9 official tar you have to the firmware which contains the params and tz images for you to have working WiFi on 4.3. ND7 is 4.4.2 so you would still need to flash that firmware to have working WiFi.. got it?
But whatever you do.. do NOT flash MJ9 official tar then you will have locked bootloader
After some more reading and your response, I think I got it. The firmware is so different that mj9 won't work with the original parameters regardless of the rom . Thanks

Hi-
I have had Hyperdrive RLS 18.1 installed on my wife's phone for several months. It is OK except it drops the 4G connection every couple days and requires a reboot to get it back. My wife is not happy so I think I want to just take the phone back to the latest stock rom available for the phone. Below is what I have right now. What is the best way to get back to to the latest stock ROM? Is there anything stock with less bloat (and rooted) that I can install with Safestrap? If not I could just go all the way back to stock, it doesn't seem like there are a lot of options for this phone (with Safestrap) anyway. I guess I could wait for Lollipop if that is going to come out soon. I am Rooted with Safestrap 3.72 installed.
Thanks,
ClockerXP

If it were me I would just use Odin and a tar file. From there you could do the OTA updates and be just fine.
Sent from my SCH-I545 using XDA Free mobile app
it might be worth noting that HyperDrive is currently at version 20. Upgrading it to the latest version is always a good way to squash bugs
For some reason I thought I could not use Odin....?
Is there a list of tar files somewhere?
I may try RLS20 though.
Thanks for your help!

We can use Odin to flash tar files. I recommend 3.10. Here's a link if you want to go the stock way and keep root: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2959613
I agree with the post above. Most of the newer builds squash bugs if you want to stay on hyperdrive
