How much battery life should I expect out of my watch ... I have wifi and gps enabled but they have not been connected all day ... I get just over 8 hours of battery life which is NOT acceptable
Any tips ... I saw someone on this forum say he was getting 3 days! ... and most of my battery is cell standby..???

... Looks like the screen is completely killing it ... but I don't use it all that much ...
Thanks,
Kris
whoa, wow. How did you make this screenshot?
Normally my omate has battery for 3 days, but I discovered that connecting it to PC or to a bluetooth keyboard and doing whatever else than only talking to it a few times a day depletes battery in just a few hours.
Also after 3 days it claims battery to be at 70%, but then it suddenly turns off as if battery ran out.

uhh, what do you mean power+home? Is that the top button (used to power on/off Omate) pressed simultaneously with key "home" on a bluetooth keyboard connected to Omate?

No the top and bottom buttons together on the watch... can be a little difficult as they are quite resistant and have to pressed precisely @ the same time.
... btw haven't used it today at all ... 92% for 4 hours so far ... so hopefully I get the day out of it ... surprised how fast it drains though when you use it ... prob only lasts an hour with the screen on but the battery info says the screen doesn't use much.

Just wondering what the spread is on people that were patient enough to wait for that green LED light before powering on your device as HTC's support site recommends.
I didnt. lol
I was playing with the thing until it almost died, then plugged it in and kept playing.
Couldnt help myself.
I just got mine and it's been charging for about 40 minutes. I'm DYING to turn it on!!
I wasn't. I don't have any issues with the led not turning green either. I ran it to shutdown day one and all seems well as far as battery. In fact, I'm impressed with the battery life which has gotten better over the past few days.

If i had that kind of restraint I wouldn't have stayed up late to order the phone
My guess is that "No, I powered it on immediately." is going to take it.
It's been on since day one, save a few restarts.

This is exactly what I did, lol.
I didn't. I got 2 days on a single charge with heavy usage. I'm happy.
nope, got it and started using it for phone calls for about an hour till i got home then plugged it in and got all my apps downloaded and everything else set the way i wanted it.
Yep, came home Friday and got it off my doorstep to plug in. Got home 4 hours later to a full battery and enjoyed.
What is recommended for the battery? Should you start it when you first get it and drain the initial charge then charge it? Or fully charge it before using it?

Thank you, I just remember back in the day the instructions always said to fully charge before use
Did you have to calibrate the battery like you did on the Evo?
I have tried this trick and it works on my SG Ace:
1. Open your phone and charge it for 7-8 hours.
2. Shut off your phone, wait for at least 2 minutes and charge it again for 1 hour.
3. Turn on your phone and wait for at least 2 minutes and charge it for 1hour.
You will notice an improvement on the life and capacity of your battery.
Hope this will help.

Before i using The Ace Kernel Beta 3, but the carger of battery no work's like i want, and i reflash BlackHawk Kernel by Ketut. (Thks Ketut).
In pic, at 01:28 i reflash BlackHawk Kernel, before i'm using The Ace Kernel Beta 3.
does it really improve the battery?
"Perform shallow discharges. Instead of discharging to 0% all the time, lithium-ion batteries do best when you discharge them for a little bit, then charge them for a little bit. The table at the right, from Battery University, shows that discharges to 50% are better for your battery's long-term life than, say, small discharges to 90% or large discharges to 0% (since the 50% discharges provide the best number of cycles-to-usage ratio)."

Hello,
i have a new galaxy sgs2 and the battery goes from 100 to0% in about 6 hours..
i have ics on it... is it normal?
tnx
If you're using it practically non-stop for 6 hours, yes.
not really... about 1 hour of 3g 2 hours of music and 30 min gaming.. the rest the screen is off...
if i dont use the pone at all it drops 100 to 90 in 30 min... and if i use it than in 20 minutes...

hi mate
yes you have bad battery
with wanamlite rom + speedmod kernel i still 54% of battery after 2 days of use
can you give us some screen shots of your battery performance?
what rom & kernel do you use?
Post your usage statistics
hey can you post an image of your battery usage? maybe i can help you if you do that, go to: Settings>Applications>Battery usage and press the home button and power button at the sime time, it will take a picture of your screen so you can attach it
You need to let the battery have two-three charge cycles after you flash anything to get an idea of the battery length

im a new user so i still cant post images
i left the phone with 54% battery and 8.5 hours later when i woke up it was 12% :X i dont think its normal...
when the screen is off for 9 hours how many % it sould downgrade?
tnx

Just wanted to share a funny screenshot I have taken a while ago while using a JB/ICS rom (Can't really remember which), the screenshot is of the battery status in settings showing some seriously odd info (BTW, I haven't charged the mobile at all during this):

Dafuq? That's the weirdest I have ever seen!!!
Had similar experiences..
Not at this scale though!

Nah, didn't switch battery nor charged it, I simply unlocked my phone to find it at 0% and shutting down, when it turned off I tried holding the power button again (because I was sure it was charged) and then it turned on with 1% and then kept increasing till it reached the flat level and then proceeded to decrease again!

The battery works perfectly normal now, and during that day it continued to work normally after it reached the flat level (it decreased as usual after this). I know, it's crazy!
mine did that too. till 13% to 94%. I removed the battery and put it back in.
I guess sometimes the battery sensor goes cuckoo haha.
Even my battery on ICS increases sometimes

Just charge phone couple of times from 5-100%(Don't unplug in between, let it sit continuously) and you are good to go . Earlier when i got my phone a week before battery was pathetic(SOT-2.5hrs) and after a week usage and battery calibration i am getting a SOT of 5 hrs around(I can't expect more)

1)Wifi is on 24x7
2)Social Networking(Whatsapp+Hike+Instagram+Facebook)
3)Email push services( 2 Gmail accounts)
4)Browsing(Chrome)
5)6-9 calls (5mins each approx)
I am just loving it (No bugs so far except that SD card 1 which will surely get fixed in next OTA) with superb battery, design aesthetics and yeah main selling point DISPLAY
Hope it helped some lonely surfers who are still finding a way to not buy the phone. I will say don't waste time if you have an invite just grab it. In next month when One Plus will Open source it's kernel, things will be far better placed than now(Custom kernels and roms )
Great.
I am getting a SOT of 4 hours, and generally make it home with 10% left in the tank.
I charge my phone before going to bed till 100. Disconnect. Set the alarm. Goto sleep.
Wake up. Overnight drain is around 10%.
Leave for office at 8. My phone is always connected to wifi or 3G. Also both sims are active. Bluetooth always active.
No email sync. Also I have disabled most notifications except calls. The only thing syncing is Whatsapp. Location disabled.
Also disabled auto brightness.
With similar settings my moto g delivers 6 hours SOT.
So I believe OPX is just average. But still kinda expectsed.
