The mobile is an MTK6582 CPU with 2GB ram + 16 GB rom (WCDMA), 5 inch IPS display. I got this phone a few days ago and could not find any solutions regarding location of GPS. I have used/seen a few MTK6589 phones which are all fine with GPS navation (I use navfree + Australian Map). At first I use original stock rom (4.2.2) and failed then I tried other roms (Miui and others). I have rooted the phone and used Uncilemobile MTK tool and other GPS test apps but they did not work. I even edited the build.prop and added one line "dalvik.vm.execution-mode=int:fast" following youtube video and still I could not located any satellites. with Wifi or Data connection, I can instantly locate my position on google map. Please help. thanks a lot.

S4 Clone! Meditek processor
Hi, i was trying to get rid of some system files, i deleted majority of the Mediatek system files (nothing seem important like wallpaper etc) must of deleted a important Mediatek file by mistake, now phone boots up fine, but keep getting Unfortunately, the process com.android.phone has stopped working
i tried a full system/factory reset to try and resolve it, my sim card no longer gets detected and no IMEI shows up and files not restored
information on phone: (Says MTK 6575 Chip) 2GB ram (not sure if this is 100% correct think its less then that) the company i brought it off claimed to have full quad core 2GB ram etc (well i brought it off someone off ebay who brought it off aliexpress http://www.aliexpress.com/store/pro...Phone-MTK6589-Quad-core/222444_908725932.html this is the phone)

I have brand new china tablet which has annoying wifi problem. Here is everything I know about it:

The problem is that when I enable wifi my tablets start to reboot randomly. Sometime I can use my tablet couple hour without reboot but sometime it is rebooting after a minute (when I enable wifi). It doesn't never reboot when wifi is off!
I have allready tried to wipe cache and I did factory reset couple times but it didn't help. Also I have tried to disable every app or service which I can but still tablet reboots when wifi is on. Someone sayid it could be related to gapps or Google Play Services. I have tried to disable Play Services and upgrade it but nothing helps. I don't know what I could do anymore.
Also when tablet boots up (when it has boot down first cause wifi) wifi bar is orange for some time allways (when it has reboot). Ihave read that it is related to Play Services. So could it still be something to do with Play Services?

Solved the issue by disabling every google app. I couldn't disable Google Play Store so I installed applock and locked Play Store so now my tablet doesn't reboot anymore. Does ańyone know any good market app or way to use Play Store without rebooting. I use now Amazon appstore and getjar but they are not good...
I also found working custom rom for my tablet and I can also use Google apps without reboots.

so i just got my SM-P605 with a custom rom from here to Android 7.1.
When it was stock stock everything worked fine but I wanted 7!
I flashed a 5.1.1 Stock Rom(needed the bootloader for twrp) wich I downloaded elswhere and Problems started, at the new setup I wasn't able to login to my google Account and skipped it, my connection to Wifi was stable and the browsers all worked fine except YT and Playstore etc. basicly everything with google.
Then I installed mentioned 7.1 rom and the same problems, I tried deleting installing Play Services, Play store, delete various Caches aswell in TWRP and Time settings set right.
The thing is I get acces to all perks from time to time wich is.... magic ? it is like 15min not possible then 2min everything works just fine ???
When I go to a different Wifi everything works fine 100% of the time no Problems at all.
But the mentioned Problem wifi has 3 other Tablets connected and 2 Smartphones with no Problem at all.
The not working Wifi is via the Win10 Hotspot from my PC and the stable one from my Dorm wich I dont wanna use cause it is very very unstable and slow.... 300-700kb/s compared to 12mb/s from the PC.
I raed alot about People not having a connection on Play store but they all had it permanently and not like mine
Anyone has a guess ?
Hello. I recently got one of these because the specification found on the internet indicates it has a built-in FM radio tuner function. However, having received it, I found no apps on the device to use this function. The device runs its original factory OS which is Android 6.
Installing the Alcatel FM Radio APK on the device manually does not complete. The error message says 'X - Application did not install'.
Could anyone please shed light on this issue. Is it possible to use the FM radio on this device, and is there an app that can utilise the function?
Needless to say that I do not want to run apps that stream radio stations via the internet.

I recently received a ulefone Armor 6E. Sensors Multitool reports:

It came with the most current non-EU software installed (RF3_V01 build)
I have been unable to get any compass apps to work properly or calibrate the compass after MANY attempts (figure 8, three axes multiple times, etc.)
Is anyone aware of a script or firmware hack/update which might address this? I suspect the MTK magnetometer is used across many MTK SystemOnChip devices in addition to my Armor 6E.
Looking at the data, the sensor is detecting changes but the compass just won't calibrate.
The phone is rooted with Magisk and has TWRP recovery. I also have Titanium Backup Pro, so I can persuade system apps to go away if needed.

It just occurred to me that power saving settings might be a cause (like GPS power saving).
I am now sometimes able to get a good calibration, but only with certain apps. Maybe the magnetometer is really sensitive and prone to interference from nearby objects?
