What is a good earbud headset that doesn't cost a fortune, meaning less than $25 or so. Wired is what i'm looking for as i'm not big on BT headsets. I don't need anything ultra high quality, just something that works well. I'd also like for it to have a inline mic. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I've looked at so many my head spins. It's hard to tell what's good or not and you can't always go by price. Figured someone would have a set that they really liked over the others.
I just get the stock ones that came with my captivate, they sound good and are durable, don't hurt your ears.
Amazon has them for about six bucks. Just search for captivate or infuse earbuds they are black with opaque white buds and inline mic.

The OP said he needs them under $25. So for the price, Skullcandies are excellent.
They meet his needs. other than the JVC Marshmallows, they are the best sounding pair for the PRICE RANGE in my opinion.
On another note, I was interested in the S4As. I read a review
on amazon for them that the controls don't work with the Sprint galaxy S II and I was afraid that the same would be true for the AT&T variant. Do you own them? can you deny or comfirm?
I have the S4i's as I came from an iPhone to the galaxy. the mic and controls don't work with the phone (aside from the pause and play button.) wanted to get the 4A's but being that there's now a 5i and that I wanna try wireless I personally am looking for a stereo bluetooth option.

That's a bummer. Do you have any suggestions for a earbud set with the same functionality as the S4A? Ill settle for reduced audio quality lol. Its hard to find a set that works with the S II
Are these cheap enough?

$2.50. I know you usually get what you pay for, but I'm a huge Monoprice fan... And for that price, how could you not want to give them a shot?
If you can raise your budget, it doesn't get any better than these:

Those look very nice but I REFUSE to pay that much for earbuds.
This is the quandry i've run into. There's literally hundreds of choices and some are known to be bad and some aren't. I'm just trying to find a good set for a good price that WORK, haha.
I had my old Cappy earbuds that I liked but alas my oldest son has lost them somewhere. They didn't work with everything on the cappy so i'm fairly sure they won't work on the GSII either.

How well do they fit in your ears? I've tried several Ipod flat style ear buds and none of them seem to fit in my ears very well. They will stay in but nothing like the cushiony inserts of the samsung ones.

I use these all day long at work. The control button works as expected with the players I've used (music app, Pandora, Beyondpod, Audible).
I use my phones for music more than anything. For the past couple years I've used a countless number of earbuds. (Gym, bike, motorcycle, work, bus)
Klipsch S4s are the best bang for the buck by far. I bought mine at Best Buy and opted for the 2 year warranty. Taking the phone in and out of my pocket a lot tends to wear the cord at the connector. Their worth the investment.

If you're going cheapo I'd try JVC HAFX67B. Decent sound and super comfortable. Even more comfortable than the S4s in my opinion.

Any recommendations for earphones with mic? This is mainly to listen to music and chat on Skype or similar applications.
I just got these for my EVO3D to use on my commutes to and from work because I was getting frustrated with blue tooth earbuds. They work great, awesome tone and base for a set of ear buds. Mic works great and everyone I call says it is way better than the blue tooths I have had in the past (everything from a $20 - 100 set).
They seal up your ears pretty good though, so awesome to block out the sounds around you but also makes you want to talk louder so that takes a little getting used to.

I have and use these:
http://www.amazon.com/Bose-TriPort-...1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1325345884&sr=1-1
Bit pricey (Not compared to other good headphones, though), but the sound quality and mic are awesome for talking or music. That and Bose has a one-year warranty. Comes with the headphones, a leather case, 6 replacement buds, and three 3.5mm-to-2.5mm adapters. Plus they're Bose, and Bose has a pretty great track record with audio. Got mine in July and they still work awesome. 5 months is pretty much a record for my headphones, wire always gives out and the left bud fails, even though I don't listen to music especially loud, so these are pretty durable. The price is justified, but if it's too steep, the ones Indiscriminate posted look good, or get a pair from Walmart or something and that'll run you about 18ish.

I bought these for my htc sensation a week ago and they work perfectly... however when I plug them into my prime, the kilpsch app doesn't seem to work (pushing the button does nothing)... honeycomb compatability issue?
I was thinking of buying these and then found this thread when I went to see if there was any that _actually_ work on the ATP.
So, did anyone _actually_ use these things on their tablet and verify that it works in place of the onboard mic?

Ok, i just plugged them in... and tested the mic with the sound recorder. The mic works fine, becoming default over the built in tablet mics, however, the click control (on the mic) does not work, even with the klipsch app installed.
I also noticed that the headphone plug sits out about 1mm from the jack, perhaps responsible for the not working clicker?
You are asking about the klipsch image s4a... aren't you?
I was referring to the J5M JBuds higher up (sorry I should've been more specific) but hey, if it works, $99 is fine by me as long as it works decently and has some durability.
My use case is simple: turning my tablets screen off makes the mic go crazy with noise, or at least it does in TeamSpeak 3; sound recorder is too soft for me to tell for sure with my voice but I think it does as well. So I need something that I can use while the screen is off and still be able to have headphones/earbuds to listen with.

If you don't mind wires I use turtle beaches. You need the dock or a usb port to power them though.

V-Moda Vibrato's is what I have. They. Are. Awesome.
http://v-moda.com/in-ear/
I can now verify the J5M's work fully.
How I tested: speaking in teamspeak while listening on my PC. Tapped the glass over the mic for reference. Exited teamspeak, plugged in the earbuds, reconnected, and listened via my PC - then tapped the mic under the glass, then tapped the inline mic on the earbudds wire to prove it worked. Sound recorder would've worked too.
Yippiee!

So I walked into a local ATT store to see if they had the One to play with before my Dev edition arrives.
Here's my Brief take on it.
#1) They had 3 display devices and all of them had gaps/issues on the top.
Device Gaps were as follows.
1. One Device had the gap all the way on the top.,
2. One Device half way on the top.
3 One Device Just in an isolated corner.
#2) I tested the speakers in loudness and I wasn't impressed I pulled out my Note 2 and ran the same video next to each and the note 2 was louder with it's single speaker.
#3) Other than the gap/etc issues the phone looks/feels like a million bucks.
#4) I Didn't test the camera etc, I'll wait for my dev edition to come in to play around more.
#5) Mainly it's a much much better device than anything HTC Has put out the look/feel quality.

I also played around with a One at an AT&T store today, and noticed an issue where the bottom speaker grill extends pretty significantly down past the rest of the phone body. The metals did not line up at all, and frankly, it didn't look good at all. I've handled other Ones locally that did not have this issue, so I'm hoping it's isolated -- and mine will not have it... Otherwise phone is fantastic -- and the camera is pretty sweet indeed!
Hopefully these issues are just with the demo units.... :fingers-crossed:

The speakers on the One aren't really about loudness, so much as:
1. Front-firing stereo sound
2. The ability to get loud without sounding "tinny".

I'll agree to point 1, but ability to get loud without sounding tinny? Like that's just bass/depth. The front facing towards you is really great but I still think that the speakers could sound even louder/more bass than they currently are. I'd just imagine 2x Note 2 speakers on the front and it would be perfect
However, HTC has SERIOUS quality control issues as a ton of the devices have these gaps/overhang issues and it's supposed to be "Zero GAP".
I would love to see some pictures of what these said gaps look like, and the overhangs so that I know what to look for. I will be so excited to have this baby in my hands I may overlook some obvious flaws.

After the latest OTA push here in USA on AT&T network, I noticed pen and pencils weren't registering well on my screen.
So I purchased a bluetooth Spen from samsung (seen here ------>) http://www.engadget.com/2012/08/15/s...-pen-hands-on/
Removed the tip, cut a 3.5mm headphone male cable with attached metal male part. hacked and cut up the ends of a plastic pen to fit the headphone male metal through. Fit it into the Spen, and now I have pen that can take bluetooth calls.
I recommend watching the ENTIRE video before posting your questions though.
Enjoy.

archos VR headset
I bought the Archos VR headset a few weeks ago for my LG G3 (d855) and I must admit I'm really impressed by the build quality. The cracking sound when opening the headset is kinda Scarry at first but you seem to get used to it. The phone fits inside very nice although I once almost dropped my phone when it slides out while using. Seems I didn't closed enough or so.
For apps, sometimes you find great content. Sometimes not. Viewing video is nice and the turning with the gyroscope works very well. The only downside of this headset is the lack of a magnetic button like other cardboard headsets. You're able to input while gaming with a game controller or a Bluetooth mouse.
For €15 this was a great buy and I'm very happy with it although the lack of really intensive content makes it more a party trick than a daily toy.
Does anybody know of a controller that works with G3. Its kinda difficult to navigate phone if it in headset. Im buying my G3 tomorrow.

For the moment I use a bluetooth mouse but that isn't really perfect when in the split view mode. I think it mostly depends on the dev to build in controller support..
Colorcross is a decent headset vor the G3, large adjustable lenses, even the distance between your eyes. It fits just about any phone. Leaves top and/or bottom connections (usb, aux) free might you wanna connect something to it.
I've brought simple cardboard from ebay, and I must say that this thing is very, very impressive. works great with the G3

Have seen a youtube review for it and found on an online shop. It sounds like a decent device but I think it is just for watching movies as it lacks magnet button on side like some others do, which adds interaction that used in some vr apps. I therefore hv just ordered one on dx.com, a brand called Neje. Will share my opinions when it arrives.
