I have Spice MI-350 Mobile phone. The phone is on Android 2.3.3
BasebandMP.V1.F9.P3, 2011/08/23
SOFT BUILD NO: SPICE_MI-350_IND_VER1.5 BUILD INFO 110901_1144
I tried to root MI-350 through Gingerbreak 1.2 and also Z4Root ( During GB and Z4Root installation, I put the APK file in SD root and then installing from there; then after installation, went to the icon and run the software).
In case of Gingerbreak, Gingerbreak went into infinite loop and ultimately after 45 minutes, I have to stop and start the phone.
In case of Z4Root, during 'Acquiring Seell' process, the process got automatically closed i.e. Z4Root went back to normal screen.
On checking, I found that Rooting did not happen. I tried this multple time to ensure that this is not one off scenario.
Can anyone help on suggesting what can be done or where I have gone wrong?
Not able to load titanium back-up for this.

HI Addadutta
i am facing the same problem. tried both above method and met with same result. i think that we need root for this phone as it has many bloatware which are not required and i think we can increase the cpu to 800 .
if you found any solution please let me know and share here.

Moving to Q&A
have you guys tried super one click? z4root is not as strong as it always was nowadays and superoneclick still seems to do the trick for every android phone i've encountered.
Rooted Finally !!!
folks
after 3-4 days of struggle i rooted my brand new spice MI 350. Ah..the long process first led me to spice website which didnt had proper USB drivers. from there i went to viewsonic v350 drivers because they are same .
finally some Chinese forum told me about Lenovo Lephone A60 and bingo thats the original phone re branded as spice mi 350.
to cut a long story short please visit following link and download a60 tools
http://forum.hotmid.com/discussion/...60-install-google-market-and-gmail-account/p1
1, Use the "A60-tools-v2" to root your Lenovo A60;
a, Double click the open the "A60-tools-v2";
b, Holding down the "volume -" and "Menu" keys, while power on the phone, until the first picture display;
c, Connect the phone to the computer via USB cable;
d, Input "1" and enter in the computer;
e, After that, enter and reboot the phone.
and voila thats all guys.

any time mate.
now i had spent some quality time with the device.. there are some things that i observed.
the device is actually faster than most of the android device in this range ( sub 160$) but its screen is no where near to perfection.
setcpu is not working ( i think that we have to get rid of spice rom which is pain in the a$$)
if you want to remove spice bloatware please use titanium backup which is free.
Noled is not working properly, i think that's because of kernel. please use bubble buzz which is an alternative to it. at least it is working.
please share your ideas and apps which are working perfectly. in future we can start sub forum in our beloved xda forum.

Intersting situation for me also.
Consider that I have phone number in contact as 099-99-999999. If the call is coming from +91 99-99-999999, name of the contact is not getting detected. It has become a big mess for me.
Tried a factory restore, but this is taking me to original Lenovo ROM.
Somehow I am not able to get the drivers again, having problem downloading from Chinese site. By any chance, do you have Win& 32Bit driver downloaded?

I think for the contact problem, please switch your language from English US to English UK
for drivers you have to go the Chinese forum. as they are more than 11mb which are not allowed to post in xda.

even i have just bought the phone - although i dont feel the phone is too slow i am a little irritated by the pre installed crap which keeps giving me notifications. whereas i am able to turn off notification in a couple of apps, a few - particularly bollywoodji keeps harassing me as there is no option to turn it off. ( my windows mobile was so userfriendly in installing/uninstalling programs - but since i am a noob in regards to android i am hoping my opinion will change )
i have the same message in google maps. i think we need a better map app for india - ill do a search later
or maybe ankjain can help us - seems he has quite a bit of experience with mi 350 and android.

friends welcome to Spice MI 350
here are some pieces of information to share
1 the chip set of our spice MI 350 is from mediatek corporation which is in china and it is a major vendor in china. the original manufacturer of this phone is Lenovo ( the same company which is selling lenovo laptops)
2 the chip set is MT6573 which is clocked to 670 Mhz but somehow lenovo and spice both says that it is 650 Mhz. any way the processor is not bad at all in fact even xperia w8 and my other love HTC wildfire were clocked to 600 Mhz and 528 Mhz respectively.
3 the bloatware of spice is simply killing RAM and ROM. i would strongly advice everyone to kindly root your phone and use titanium backup and remove all the unnecessary crap apps.
4 you will notice the lag of launcher, it is because every time when you hit home button, the launcher restart itself and build icons of the widgets and apps again and again. to remove this problem don't use unnecessary widgets
5 the major compromise is RAM which is just 256 mb and more often than not is really not sufficient enough .
6 Camera is just average since it lacks auto focus so bar code scanner apps are not working properly; Red Laser is an app which works partially sometimes .
7 please share your apps which you think are working properly and meanwhile we will try to create sub forum for lenovo A60 which will automatically cover spice MI 350
8 for those who are concerned with battery , my advice is root your phone as reported in chinese and russian forums and even my own conclusion the battery is above average. simply goes for 2 days easily.
please share your thoughts here so that we can make this device better .

Dear,
I too brought Spice Mi-350 yesterday.
This is my first android device.
There were lot of annoying app pre installed.
And when searched i came across this site and your post.
You have mentioned that you were able to successfully root your mobile.
I checked out the web page links posted above, even went through the Russian site. But i am little afraid of the task, since the uploaded files could be
1. older version than what is installed.
2. could change the network and language to their location.
3. AND I COULD BRICK MY PHONE!?
Hence can you kindly help me about the
1. steps you followed to do so.
2. the resources to complete this task.
3. What will this change in my phone?
4. What will i loose and gain?
5. what should i be careful about?
Also please clarify the above mentioned three doubts.
Thanks in advance.
Hello,
I have a Note 2 and my girlfriend has S3. Regarding to the problems which have been coming for the past a few days I started to be really really afraid. We Have just bought the S3 and the Note 2 is roughly 1.5 month old. So I don't want to sell them as they will cost only half price of what we paid. We also really love the phones, everything is super as long as they keep running.
However the more I read about all these Sudden Death and SDcard issues I started to wonder if our datas are safe? I mean not trusting Samsung for the build quality is another thing, looking at your phone like it has cancer and is going to die any time is a whole different story. This is even hunting me on my dreams for the past few days. I mostly play games and make drawings and back them up daily but my girlfriend is using her S3 for job purposes too and has valuable data on her phone. In the beginning I was planning to buy an Sdcard to expand and secure the phones memory so we could have just gotten the card if the phone was broke but then I found out SDcard problem threads. After a while I am sure anybody would be giving the reaction "Come on Samsung, another build defect.. Make the phones from paper already!!"
But still, we do not want to sell our phones by losing money and to be honest we do not think we can find any other phone with these specs. Maybe Nexus 4 but no exp. memory and no FM radio is a no go for us. Sony Yuga in the future maybe but "when" is still a question at this moment. Like I said it is hunting me in my dreams because she asked for Sony Xperia ion and I bought her S3 and she loves it but I would have felt totally responsible if anything happened to her phone and she lost her data.
So, I just wanted to know what do you guys are using your phones for and are you feeling your data is safe enough in your internal or external cards. Do you trust your phone?

I trust my s3 and love s3. 1st u store your contac on google account , and u save ur all data in ex.sd card and every week u just copy/peast ex/sd card on ur pc. so even ur ex card is break after that u not lose ur data any way and u use ur data also other dives. sorry 4 my English.
I myself use my S3 for everything. Work and play. With the SD and security issues, I really don't know now how I should really feel about my smartphone. I don't really change phones so often. Simply because I don't have that much dough to shell out just to keep up with technology.
Warranty still is existing for another 7-8 mos, but that doesn't make me feel at ease. Samsung staff here in the Philippines aren't all that knowledgeable and courteous to talk to. I've had my fair share of experience with them.
People like me think and research hard to make the "best buy" out there, only to be bugged by a thought that anytime, your hard earned money might go waste. With or without warranty issues, we don't buy a flagship phone that randomly acts as if it wasn't made by one of the biggest, trusted phone manufacturers out here.

Hello !
I just ordered the 16gb version (no 3g) for about $320 (a lot more expensive here usually). It's one which apparantly was sent back and got a general maintenance. Got it from the German Sony outlet online store. Obviously the first thing Ill do will be checking for errors and sending it back if its not alright.
I will be travelling to asia for about a year as of august and thought it was pretty fitting so I just ordered before they're all gone...
Now I'm wondering a few things!
Will I be able to connect via 3g with an internet dongle like the huawei E137 ?
Can I connect my 2.5" external hdd without additional power? I read almost everywhere that it doesn't work on all the tablets, but I also think I read that the sony usb port is more powerful and can stream over hdmi without additional power. I know that ill need an OTG usb host cable. It's a Samsung s1 mini with 120gb.
The bigger question is however which updates I should install. I read a few threads on here (very confusing with all the sony tablets being in one place...) and couldn't really come to a conclusion.
I don't really play games, except Id maybe like to play some N64 stuff on an emulator. I mainly want to use it to browse the internet, do hostel bookings etc. and watch movies.
Im sorry if these have been asked before, I couldnt find an answer :/
No you can't connect to 3g. Not sure about HDD.
Note: should have got a xperia tablet z

Second that. Probably better value down the road seeing as support for this will be abandoned soon probably... if not already.
It's not possible to connect to the internet via surf stick?
I've seen videos on youtube where people do it with other android tablets. Is that a xts specific problem?
the xperia tablet z is exactly twice the price :/

The tablet does not have the drivers to run the dongle. The STS has this issue too. Since the XTZ is made by the Sony Mobile team, and not the Sony Vaio team, it most likely will support dongles... IMO it would be worth paying extra for the XTZ because of the much higher standards the mobile team has, its unlockable bootloader, high res screen, etc.
Hmm alright, too bad...
Could it be possible someday? With it being able to root now?
I really don't wanna spend another 250€, I can live a month in India with that money :/
I had a look a the tablet in an electronics market here and I think the display is more than enough for me.
Guess I'll have to live with tethering then.
I'll see if a 3G dongle works with the Xperia Tablet Z.

Instead of a dongle, use a wireless mobile hotspot device. Most are small enough to fit in your pocket, better than having a dongle hanging off your tablet, and there is no hassle with loading device drivers. I don't know what is available in India or Asia, but I'm in the USA and I use a Sierra Wireless Overdrive Pro™ 3G/4G Mobile Hotspot through Virgin Mobile.
XTS root, then you can also use a 3G dongle Since there's a free app in the Market "UMTS MANAGER" Try yourself and also works on 4.1.1 with root.
Unfortunately, USB hard drives consume a lot of electricity - are alternative USB sticks it should be paid to the format ... NTFS is otherwise only with root with the help of the free app "Paragon NTFS & HFS" so you can then mount ...
That sounds like some good news!
I'm still not quite sure whether I should send it back or keep it (hasn't arrived yet but is in transit...would the galaxy tab 10.1" be a better choice? its about the same price here).
Is rooting it risky? Is there any danger to it? Will it be possible with every device or could there be regional differences (mine will be german I guess)?
If I'll be able to root it, that means I can use all the apps there are basically? What about alternate ROMs, will that be possible?
Sorry for all the questions, I'm kind of new to the whole topic, though I did root a smartphone I had
Come to think about it, I could use that as a mobile hotspot maybe... Though I'd have the same problems with being dependent on a second battery :/
I think if I'll be able to root it and it'd be able to use all those customized apps that make software things possible that sony tries to forbid or hasnt enabled at least the XTS would be a good choice for me since it's so cheap.

Rooting isn't risky - it's what you do with the root which is.
When you root a phone, you place a su binary file in the /system partition.
If your a new to this, you WILL brick your device. Don't mess with system files before asking here first :fingers-crossed:

If I'll be able to root it, that means I can use all the apps there are basically? What about alternate ROMs, will that be possible?
Sorry for all the questions, I'm kind of new to the whole topic, though I did root a smartphone I had
Come to think about it, I could use that as a mobile hotspot maybe... Though I'd have the same problems with being dependent on a second battery :/
I think if I'll be able to root it and it'd be able to use all those customized apps that make software things possible that sony tries to forbid or hasnt enabled at least the XTS would be a good choice for me since it's so cheap.

If you read here first before firing off crazy commands its prob safe to root, having said that after you do the risk of bricking is high bcuz no custom recovery and boot loader is locked so you cannot just flash a Rom to fix it. If you are not in love with Sony for whatever reason, and depending on what you plan to do with the tablet, I would either save $100 and get a nexus 7 or spend extra $100 and get nexus 10.

aaaalright you guys. thanks everyone!
sending it back...too bad tho, just got it yesterday and it looks pretty cool. thats not the most important thing for me though.
im leaving in 2 month for my trip, so ill wait another month and see if anything happens on the market. maybe ill get a nexus 10. I had a look at the 7 but its too small (htc one x is pretty big already).

Huh?
I just picked one of these up yesterday, the LG Tribute, the Sprint version which is model LS660P (same hardware with the Virgin Mobile version). It's a Snapdragon 400 SoC quad core powered smartphone - it's basically a mix of features between a 1st gen Moto G LTE (the SoC) and the Moto E (removable battery and microSD slot) - it's a CDMA/LTE device only so it's more akin to the Sprint/Boost/Cricket versions of the Moto G I suppose - it does have a SIM card slot but since there's no GSM radio I suppose that's a dead end. It has Sprint LTE support for LTE bands 25, 26, and 41 - it's Spark-enabled as well.
So far in using it I've been extremely pleased with the performance overall considering it's $39.99 right now at many retailers like Fry's and Best Buy (retail is $79.99).
The biggest downside is the 800x480 display resolution but honestly I could care less these days. I just owned an LG G2 and loved it but I had to sell it to cover some bills, and when I saw the Tribute specs and that low price I figured it couldn't hurt to mess around with it a bit.
But in terms of getting it up and running, the first time I powered it up I was pleasantly surprised when I saw this on the Apps screen:
Just that, and nothing else - this thing has zero Sprint bloatware on it, absolutely nothing, and nothing from LG either. Yes it just has 4GB of internal storage leaving about 1.45GB for the user but it's got the microSD slot for storage. I've done all the requisite Google stock apps updates and installed all the apps I've purchased and the free ones I regularly use and I still have 435MB left so I'm good to go. Put my 32GB microSD card in it with 6GB of Opus-encoded audio files, a couple of movies and TV shows, and so far it's been fantastic.
Current battery is showing 37% left from a 100% charge, 12 hours and 3 minutes on, 5 hours and 14 minutes of screen on time so far (and still going because I'm watching Captain America: The Winter Soldier on it and there's 1 hour and 45 mins left in the movie), Wi-Fi has been on the entire time (it's in Airplane mode, however), screen brightness using MX Player is set at 12 (of 15), volume at 15. I use Google Hangouts with Google Voice to make "phone calls" using Wi-Fi so it's in Airplane mode most of the time when I'm at home.
I expect to hit the 7 hours of SOT and this is the first full charge on the device so, consider me a very happy camper.
I know requests have been put into place for Stumproot support so a root could be possible on this device, and I know that LG has posted the 4.4.2 ROM and kernel source code (I grabbed that last night). So here's my question:
Is there anyone out there that might be interested in attempting to develop any recovery for this (assuming we get root at some point), and then perhaps developing some custom ROM for it - seems like it should be a relatively easy thing considering a) we have the full ROM and kernel source even though it's just 4.4.2 at the moment (I would guess LG has no intentions of boosting this to 5.0 so that'll most likely never happen) and b) it's so close to the architecture of the CMDA/LTE version of the Moto G LTE that some kind of port might be possible towards Lollipop if and when that happens...?
Long sentence, sorry about that, I get wordy at times.
But I just figured I'd ask if there's any interest at all. Yes, it's weak on the resolution, yes, it's not a powerhouse device, yes, it's fairly cheap but it's functional and could be an awesome little smartphone with a little "help" thrown its way like a potential for a custom kernel as well to get the quad core and the governor a bit more under control.
I fully suspect this device is easily capable of 7 hours of SOT with such "upgrades" if anyone is interested. I lack the technical know-how and skills to get buried in ROM development much less kernels, so I figured I would toss the question out considering it shares so much common with the Moto G LTE variant + the Moto E's microSD slot potential.
Just curious... any responses are welcome and appreciated, thanks.
Update:
It's even better than I'd hoped...
Almost 8 hours of screen on time - that was a full movie (2 hours 15 minutes long and I let it play the entire thing, first frame to final), 4 TV shows (about 42-45 minutes long each), music playback for almost 1 hour, a few Wi-Fi phone calls using Google Hangouts/Voice, and some web surfing using the stock browser.
$40... absolutely amazing.
I'm just concerned about the amount of CPU time the Android OS shows there - it apparently used as much battery as the screen being on for 7 hours and 38 minutes did so there's something amiss hiding inside. Will be using Wakelock Detector to see if I can detect anything I can disable on the next go considering this was the first full 100% charge and battery test. Just for the record, the Keep Awake time listed on the Android OS battery usage page is 11 hours so it's not idle, there's something going on in there that's using the battery, now I just have to find out what it is. The CPU total time was 4 hours 17 minutes for Android OS.
I'm pretty satisfied, now I wonder what this thing could really be capable of in terms of battery life with a proper custom kernel and ROM. I wonder...
I've been waiting for something to pop up for this phone. I've had it for 2 weeks now. Its great. I agree the battery life is awesome on this thing.
I have the VM version and would be willing to test if someone came up with something.
sigh
Coming from an iPhone so I'm totally new to the android platform but the storage in this thing is severely lacking. I got a micro sd for it, but barely can even get any apps to download due to lack of space. I'm assuming something like this would be helped by a root. It's driving me bananas and making me yearn for my Apple days
Tribute
I also just switched to a Tribute, with KitKat. Was incredibly pissed off to find that Android had crippled the external SD's role. I mean, WTF guys? So now I am on a mission. Every day I scour the interwebs looking for hope that someone has figured out a root exploit for this. I would even settle for being able to flash a custom ROM like Cyanogen. Just so long as I can get PodKicker to save 'casts to the friggin SD card. Is that too much to ask? Anyway, nothing i have attempted so far has worked at all.
Oh, and you got lucky with the no bloatware thing. I got mine through Boost Mobile, and they clotted this damned thing chock full of B.S. To the point that OUT OF THE BOX I couldn't install apps from Playstore without uninstalling previous updates to all the big Google apps. And without Root, I can't get rid of this BoostZone ****e.
I have my doubts as to whether or not this device will get any support here at all at this point (yes I know it's just been a day or so since I made this thread). I didn't even know about the LG L90 till earlier today and when I checked out the specs I realized that it's a better device overall than the Tribute, of course the price reflects the differences as well (larger higher resolution screen, just qHD 960x540 but still it's larger at 4.7" also), with NFC support (I actually make use of that myself), the removable battery/microSD slot, and it's got support here with its own subforum now with a lot of activity (well, a lot for it I suppose) and it even has an IR port for QuickRemote too which is pretty awesome: my Wife is deaf so anytime we go someplace like a Doctor's office or hospital with TVs on, if the captions aren't enabled I turn 'em on with the smartphone. Used to do that with my Galaxy S4 Active in the past, nice to see LG and some other companies are hopping on the "remote control" bandwagon now too.
There's root available and also a bootloader unlock apparently, source code is out and there's work being done so... I wish I had known that before yesterday basically. Fry's, where I got this Tribute, won't do a return on it because I opened the box (and obviously I've done more since I got it too) so that's a wash I suppose. It's still a damned fine little device for $40.
The L90 is "on sale" through T-Mobile's website for $100 with a coupon code right now, I would have grabbed that if I had known about it and the development in progress. Guess I'll have to keep my eyes out next time, might find one used on craigslist soon so we'll see what happens.
I'll keep the Tribute, of course, and keep hoping for a root at some point. I did ask in the Stumproot thread for someone to take a look at it and see what might be possible so, let's keep our fingers crossed.
As for the bloat, I had someone at HowardForums tell me if I activate the phone with Sprint (which I haven't done) that'll install all the Sprint bloatware so, fat chance of that happening I guess. I'll keep it as is and hope for the best.
Anyone working on this? I tried stump, and there are a ton of requests, but no one has said a word about it.
Thanks!
Still hoping but no progress has been reported. It's common knowledge these days that root on newer devices is going to continue to get more and more difficult with the potential that someday we're just not going to be able to do it on most anything. The low price of this one and lack of the high end specs makes most devs (at least in my opinion) not even give a crap about it so, if someone does and we benefit from it, that's awesome.
If nothing happens, it wasn't a complete waste, it's a fine little device with decent processing power and damned great battery life as noted so, $40 was nothing I guess.
Still looking
Still looking for root to the LG Tribute and nothing works. Has anyone heard anything new about it???
Just bumping this to revive interest.

You so realize you bought a low to mid range prepaid phone right?
I realize that but there has been quite a bit of interest in the model on the internets so unless you have something helpful to add, kindly ignore my post. Thanks.

You do understand that your comment takes away from the actual thread content, right?
Here is more information about the phone for anyone interested in development:
LG LS660 (LG Tribute) Virgin Mobile.

Should I buy this phone and wait for a root?
Or are there other similar price and spec phones that are easier to root?
Do some phones never get rooted?

I don't own the LG Tribute any longer but the source code was at LG's open source repository for the LS660P (the Sprint variant, but it should be identical to the others I would guess):

Honestly I can't even remember now, I saw some post at one of the other forums (AndroidPolice maybe) that said someone had discovered a working bootloader unlock, I could be wrong in that but honestly I can't recall the specifics at the momemt. As stated, I no longer own a Tribute (nothing at the moment, my sig always reflects what I own at any given time, for the record).
Good luck... it's really a fantastic smartphone for the $40 I paid for it (and Fry's still sells it for that price). I wish there was a GSM model 'cause I'd be all over it in a second flat; can't do much of anything with the CDMA model in terms of getting service here in my area. I won't deal with Sprint for service, and Boost/Virgin Mobile/etc don't have plans that come anywhere near what the $30/month T-Mobile plan does so...
For $35 a month, you get unlimited everything on Virgin Mobile...
For $20, you get 300 minutes and unlimited everything. I stuck with the $20 plan at unlimited everything as I was grandfathered in many, many years ago.
Possible root method?
Hello! I have been using android for a while and just got this phone (LG Tribute, Virgin Mobile). I was researching rooting this, and I found this: youtube.com/watch?v=ZBdrVa_bo5o
It seems to be advertising legit software, etc, but I wonder if this successfully roots the Tribute. On their website (androidphonetransfer_DOTCOM) ,they have a free trial for the software.
I'd like to try it, but I'm not sure if it would mess up my device or not (I'm new to rooting). anyone want to give this a try?
It does not work.
I am also interested. I was looking for a android phone with at least 4.5 inch screen to act as a dedicated gps navigator. LG Tribute fit the bill perfectly. Quad core processor is fast, would be nice to get rid of Sprint activation and clean the device up with a root.
I'm surprised there is not more interest in this phone. The sale price of $40 happens pretty regularly, which IMO is a great deal for this phone.
Hello.
I have questions for current users of P9000. I do not have this phone. I can buy new P9000 for 180 USD. What you think? It is good idea? Chinese phones are always good "on paper" but always have bugged stock roms. We have any stable rom for P9000 for daily use without pain in ass? If you had to choose, would you buy it a second time?
Please help me decide.
Regards
I bought it but I am not hapy with it.
Camera from the biginning was not well, and now stopped at all by itself. I did not drop or do something just in one day it stopped to launch.
Edge of display came of from the body. Battery drain is good if you don't use 3G.
If you want good phone search among Xiaomi , Meizu or ZTE.
For me "ZTE nubia z11 Mini" is good.
Definitely not. Gps, fast charge and camera are not good enough. Android pay does not work..buy one plus 3
Its is a good phone , interesting phone, but google pay not working, when it is working its is a great phone....

I think its all about expectations. For me after rooting and flashing Eragon ROM I am happy with what I paid for. Don't expect Samsung/Apple standards for its camera its really bad compared to those. I dont use google/android pay so that doesn't bug me.
For that price I don't think you can get anything better.
I'm not sure what Google pay is but there is no problem buying apps with the phone.
GPS is not perfect but usable, same with the camera.
Battery time is very good at least for me. Twice I have left the phone fully charge at 10 pm and att 5 am I have 100% & 99%. This is with wifi and sync on. When I hade 99% there was a Titanium Backup of all user apps 200+ in the middle of the night.
Fast charge I don't know anything about, I charge the phone during night so that would not be an issue.
I have Eragon ROM on the phone.
The physical device itself is pretty solid but the stock software, as of present, is similar to that of an early beta build.
I'd advise you don't take the leap as I believe Elephone shouldn't be encouraged for releasing an incomplete phone.
I would not buy again. External SD doesn't work at all. Had to factory reset after update to get fingerprints back. Spontaneous reboots & alarms unreliable since last OTA update. I'd spend more money and get OnePlus 3 or used OnePlus 2.

External SD works just fine. Fingerprints dissapearing after an update of software is a known issue but a very minor inconvenience - all you have to do is add them back again. Which software version are you currently on?
20160810
I knew about the fingerprint issue but misread something from the release notes that caused me to think it had been fixed. It's not that they go missing, it's that they remain used but unrecoverable, so I went for a few weeks with only one fingerprint. No biggie.
My SD Card has never, ever worked. It's as though it's not even there. SIM works fine in that slot though.
In general I find the phone is not quite stable enough that I would recommend it to anyone else to buy, but it's not quite unstable enough that I sent it back, although I might have done if I'd had a decent spare.
Sent from my P9000 using Tapatalk
On paper it sounds good but too many bugs for me to use as a my daily driver so sent back to Amazon. GPS not great, fingerprint unlock not reliable. Unable to send or receive text without rebooting occasionally which was the biggie for me.
You get what you pay for, all phones have problems at one time or another no phone is perfect, GPS after lock works fine, finger print a bit slow but never had a problem as such, Camera isn't the problem it's the software use a different app and it's not that bad and I still have an Xperia Z1 so i can compare, Android Pay i live in the UK all bank card are contactless why fiddle about with a phone when it easier to just pull out your bank card the number of time i've stood behind some one trying to pay for something with their IPhone is mind numbing, you can make calls you can send texts you can receive calls and texts, if you have a higher budget then try something else if not this phone is as good or as bad as any.

I suspected exactly that, Carl.
I am considering this phone, too. Most of my friends have Apple and Samsung high ends (that what's absolutely dominates the market here in Singapore), some of them are already on the 3. device while I still have my 2 yo crappy beaten-up Zenfone 5 ... it's as well not without flaws but surprisingly solid. I'm 100% off the high end stuff. The time we payed high end money and really got something feelably and visably better is long over. Yep, more money buys me better, but now it's not always, and not 3 - 4 times better.
