[Q] s5030C with broken touch - Galaxy Ace S5830i Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello, I have a S5830C (s5830i identically), but they're broken touch, and the other things are ok (LCD, buttons, camera, sensor is fine). and I need to do something with it, just not to let it sit, but I really do not want to buy anything else (really do not want to invest in a new touch ). I've been researching a bit and found several ways to access it via ADB debugg, the problem is that I suspect that the ADB is not enabled. however have full access to the recovery mode (with CWM).
therefore my questions are:
Q1: is there any way to activate ADB via recovery?
Q2: is there any way to install another rom that already has adb enabled?
Q3: Anyone know any other way to access or control the android via USB?
Q4: any idea about any project that can be developed using these parts that are working? : D
ps .: these were the possible solutions I found.
pss .: any suggestion is welcome.
psss. Sorry for the mistakes in English

If its touch is broken then u cant do anything with computer to work touch..as i think your screen digitizers connecter is not connected well or its broken ..so u have to buy new screen digitized..or if u dont want to use touch screen then i think twr rom has adb enabled

Broken touchscreen Prestigio 5044 PapDuo Pc Connection

Hi everyone,
This is my first thread here eventhough i m following these forums whenever I'm doing stuff with Android. I am also a programmer, not particularly an Android expert, but whenever I need to I use Android tools too. Anyways, today I realized my phone's touchscreen is broken somehow. And I have pattern lock. Normally my developer mode is enabled but darn when I connect my phone to PC I cant just tap to activate Usb connection. I searched through web, spent at least 6-7 hours looking for solutions. Here are what I got:
- I can't use Adb because my phone is not rooted and for most commands I got "closed" error.
- I tried various tools and methods, mostly from here but all end up not being able to confirm because of touchscreen malfunction.
- Tried to root it through Adb didnt work
- Can't seem to use fastboot, fastboot dont seem to see my device eventhough Adb can (I couldnt see any fastboot options in factory or recovery mode. Actually Factory Mode was only tests, and recovery mode has update from adb, update from sd card, update from cache, wipe, backup and restore options.)
Other than that I tried all I can except actually disassembly of my phone. So, at this point I wonder "If" there's a way of connecting my phone to my pc. Soon I ll buy a new display and replace it for sure. But I see this as a reason to dig into Android and dont want to miss the chance by being too lazy.
Thanks in advance.

Does this version support VoLTE Video call?
Has anyone realise sudden changes in brightness to 100% while using ?
Well I happens with my phone. Sometime at night when I set brightness to minimum and using my phone the brightness increases. To set to minimum I change the valve by sliding then back to minimum.
Are you guys are suffering from this problem or its just me.
Does this phone support usb otg?
Why my contact app is showing nickname, how can I disable this, I tried installing google contact, but no success, looks like problem of OS not contact app.

Fixed by M7UUAU1 ROM
@Chupi383 I want to draw your lillte attantion for once to post number #3, #5, #6. These are not serious issue. just i want to know if u have suffered these problem, maybe you have fix to share with us.
The root partition on Android is always in the initrd in the boot partition.
I see no option for video call of any sort on any firmware for this phone. It is designed for US use, and video call isn't a standard feature here.
No, USB OTG is not supported. The software stack for it is present, so some USB OTG detector apps will tell you it's supported, but the hardware for it is not there. I plugged in a few devices with USB OTG adapters that work on my Galaxy S7 Edge and nothing happens -- no power to the device, nothing detected on the phone. Even using a tee adapter that lets me power both the device and phone USB port, the phone doesn't enumerate or detect the device.
I have been using Google's contacts app successfully and it works well. I haven't tried assigning a "nickname" to a contact. It just shows their first and last name as I've entered them.
Brightness does randomly change to 100% on some firmware versions. Best I can tell, it only happens with USB debugging enabled, or possibly only after connecting to the phone on adb. Disable USB debugging and reboot after you're done hacking and it shouldn't do that anymore.

adb dont work on reseted phone, to anable you have to go setting > developer mode > USB debugging.
or wait for 30min to start phone since it take little time after reset
or you have bricked your alcatel
try using
Code:
$ [B]fastboot -i 0x1bbb devices[/B]

Old Nexus 7 2. Gen with lock screen

Hi, when the Nexus 7 2. Gen came out in 2013, I bought it and used for 3 years until 2016. Unfortunately, I remember I dropped the device and the display cracked and made it impossible to use, and because a new one was 50 Euros back then, I thought it wouldn't be worth repairing it.
Now in 2020 I plugged in a OTG mouse, charged it and tried to find some funny stuff I could have stored like pictures from 4 years ago. However, there's a lock screen with password I have to prompt in which I can't remember anymore. The device is running Android 5.*, but I don't know which one for sure, there is no "Emergency call" to try this lock screen camera bypass bug.
The device has its bootloader unlocked (an unlocked lock is shown when I power on the device), and I rooted it 4/5 years ago so I could use my PS3 controller via OTG (This needed root permissions for some reason). I have also noticed that the tablet is still connected to my home WLAN connection.
Is there any chance to bypass the lock screen and/or recover data from it?
Edit: I managed to enter recovery mode but I can only wipe the whole device here, no backup. My android version is 6.0.1.
If you can establish an USB-connection between phone and PC
Code:
adb devices
then you can retain the data that you want to have by means of ADB, too.
Example:
Code:
adb pull /storage/emulated/0/DCIM C:\DCIM

the problem is that it's not recognized, I probably have to unlock it and then accept that I want to use the phone in ADB.

Hi, maybe you could try to flash an custom recovery to it, since the bootloader is unlocked. After that it'll be a lot easier to delete the lockscreen-password and as well backup the data from it.

This sounds good, you mean something like TWM? Is there anything to consider, do I just sideload this thing via adb?
EDIT: Thanks man, I did it, removed the password file and just got access. Feels like going 4 years back in time.

Black, broken screen! Plz Help

I am in desperate need please:
I have a XT1625
I dropped my phone and the Circuit for the display got ruined, I tried another scree - no dice..
DEbugging is enabled by default, but Im pretty sure the Bootloader is locked..
I cannot see the screen.. I have been trying to figure out a way to get past the RSA key nonsense.. I know what my computer's RSA Key is..
But I am not sure how I am going to get my data out..
am I screwed? is my data goneforever?
I have ADB SDK Android Studio. Im trying to Get this figured out so I can enable MPT mode.. The SCreen is locked.. I know my pin code and Im able to use a OTG to type in my passwrod and unlock it but it only lasts 10-15 seconds before relocking..
how in the Heck am I going to be able to get this RSA key thing to work? I cant do anything I cant even connect to my laptop to debug this..
Does anyone know how to Extract data from this phone? I don't know what else to do..
I am not entirely experienced but I have read up on some of the steps I could possibly do and I have tried them and I keep running into dead ends.
its got Android 6.0.1
What can I do???
So I have tried recovery mode.. ... which I know the button layouts pretty well and what to press, Ive put it into the bootloader... and windows detects it then.. but when I go into recovery mode. I am unable to detect the phone..
Why is it doing that? I thought when you go into recovery mode you can use ADB to work with the phone externally.. I swear I have been following all these tutorials.. has anyone ever had a Moto G4 of any version before in the past? Like a G4 Plus or something?
ANy advice guys? I would greatly appreciate it.

Question Advice for controlling, troubleshooting and/or fixing phone that works but screen is black?

Hi all
My redmi note 10's screen is black, yet it works fine otherwise. I can receive phone calls, the touchscreen works and before unlocking my fingerprint worked. Im not sure if this is the BSOD or if that applies to phone's that have black screen and won't turn on.
When this happened i was still waiting to be allowed to unlock bootloader. When the wait time was up i unlocked it and unfortunately usb debugging is no longer enabled so i cant use adb and adb shell to check display and screen related logs, change settings, issue commands, etc to try to get the screen to come back on.
Before unlocking the phone i did look at the logcat and it mostly showed the phone checking wakelocks and trying to create /sdcard/ramdump folder and not being able to
Maybe the screen needs to be replaced but i have taken the phone apart and cannot see any damage or connection issues. Its possible i don't know what to look for...
So if anyone has any advice for me it would be much appreciated. Specifically:
1. How to enable usb debugging with black screen.
2. Adb shell commands that i could use when the phone is in recovery (after issuing fastboot boot twrp.Img)
3. Experiences, information, links, tools, etc that could possibly solve the black screen problem.
4. Any idea how to access and restore google backup remotely. Maybe that would reenable USB debugging?
5. Info on what to look for as far as hardware and the display connection...
Ok, Ive been xda member for years, but this is my first post. Any advice about the post is welcome. Thanks for reading and big thanks in advance to anyone who replies. Hope you all are having a good day.
