Hello, I wanted to install custom firmware first, but my recovery software was old (when I choosed the ZIP from the SD card, it said: "Installation aborted."). I installed CWM 6.0.2.8 and when I strated it and choosed the ZIP, it was same. I rebooted my phone in the menu and it started again in recovery mode. I tried reboot again, but it was same. Please HELP!

im having this problem too, when i keep pressing reboot system it keeps on and on, and my download mode can be used, just cant on the system only.
I'm having problems booting into Recovery. I used the method here: All In One Root Recovery Installer to root and get a custom recovery on my phone. After installing CWM that was included with the package, my phone rebooted into Recovery once. I was able to wipe Cache/Dalvik. Phone has been running great with no issues except when I try to boot into Recovery it goes straight the the Android OS/Home Screen. The blue letters show up on the top left of the screen like it's going to boot into recovery but it doesn't.
I was thinking about doing two things:
1. Running the tool again and installing CWM again.
2. Downloading ROM Manager and have that install CWM.
Can I do these things without messing anything up?
Any help here would be greatly appreciated.
Hey guys -
I'm having trouble getting CWM Recovery to work with my YP-G70. I've rooted, installed ROM Manager, wiped data and partitions, installed Odin, Used Odin to (supposedly) flash the DD_01142012.tar recovery to the device. Everything looks successful, but when booting back up ROM manager only gives me the option to go to "recovery setup" instead of the normal flash option. Even when I reboot it in recovery, it just goes to the standard android recovery screen. Any ideas on how to fix this? It may be painfully obvious, this is my first root.

Rom Manager does not work for this device ( I think ) and you should not use it. "DD_01142012.tar" is not just a recovery, it's the kernel too. They are integrated. Flash it again and hold power and vol-up during boot up to get to recovery then flash your rom...
I cant get into philz touch recovery after installing it it just reboots. I think it has to do with auto recovery restore feature. anyone know how to fix this?
Hi everyone, please I need help with my umi x2, I had cwm installed and had created all my backups successfully, I then changed my recovery to carliv touch recovery without issues.
I now tried to go back to normal cwm but carliv recovery wouldn't change. I was fustrated and mistakenly flashed a twrp recovery which wasn't for my phone and now I can't go back to cwm or carliv touch recovery which means I can't boot back into recovery. Each time I try to boot into recovery, it the phone hangs on the boot screen then after that it restarts and loads the android os to the home screen.
Any help on how to bout back to cwm will be most appreciated.
Thanks
