Hi, guys!
Yesterday, I updated to latest ICS and from that time onwards the call pattern of my SG2 have changed. Now, there is a hyphen/trace/dash (-) and some spaces when I put the numbers to call.
These settings can be customized?
There is a way to remove these trace and spaces?
I have tried other dialers in Google Play, but I really like the ICS stock dialer.
So, if it possible, I would like to use the stock dialer w/o call pattern.
Sorry for my poor English.
Try changing your language to UK or us English in settings

Hi, bala_gamer.
i tried but it didn't work.
I took a screenshot. See it.
I don't think you can change it - except using a dialer app
Has anybody found a workaround for this, except using another dialer?
Thanks for any suggestions.
/LE: installed exDialer, seems great so far...
/LE2: Spoke too soon, when someone calls, or i dial a number the spaces still appear.

I see your problem and i know a solution. For 1st, install exDialer from Google Play.
After you installed, go to ExContacts, go to the contact you want and change. It worked for me!

thanks men, but not works on my xperia neo v.
Mr.Indigo has found the solution, I tested with another dialer, dialer rocket pro, and work on my xperia neo v. If someone has the same problem, there are different dialers in play store.

Can you see the system dialer ? If not try unhiding it. Get an app of the market for hiding apps, then unhide the dialer.

That's them, but they are hidden from the app drawer. You need to Un-Hide them. I can't find the app at the moment.

I haven't completely tried it. I did unhide the apps by mistake when I was trying to hide apps from the app drawer before. I tried to find the app last night that i used to do this but with no luck. Even copying the apps from the system folder to data/apps folder then installing them doesn't work. They are removed from the folder on reboot.
Sorry I can't be more help.
I know the apps for the dialler etc. are present, it has been commented on before why they weren't removed for even a non 3g tablet before.

I rooted the phone and using
RomAur v2.0 XZ2 AROMA ROM. So the phone and calendar are same as the stock rom. I don't like the phone app as it doesn't have frequently contacts and it is not full text search. You have to match from the beginning of the contact name.
I have titanium backup the contact and calendar from old phone (samsung galaxy s2) and was trying to restore it on Z2. But TB shows warning that it's trying to restore system app from a different rom, which might not work. How should I do?
If I want to try restore those, how should I backup the current phone, calendar without overwrite the backup file (phone, calendar) from galaxy s2.
Or is there any recommended phone/calendar app on play store?
PS: I like the samsung contact search feature as it's not only full text search but also index the chinese character in english spelling. So I can type english to search chinese names!

I don't think it's possible. Samsung apps only work on TouchWiz.
You could try the official Google dialer. Let us know if you do and it works well!

I tried that and it force closes when trying to view the call log.
Any ideas?
I really hate the sony dialer and how it butchers google voice integration.
I ended up using Contact+/Message+/Dialer+. It's really well designed. Try it!
I've used a couple of versions of Google dialer and the CM11 dialer on stock based ROMs on my Z2.

I know the Mi pad 5 pro doesn't have phone support which is probably restricted by software. I'm wondering if anyone has tried installing Dialer by google on the device, either by apk or from the playstore. If anyone has any experience making calling work plz share.

Yeah sms works. When someone calls the sim card number I get an sms from my carrier that someone tried to call me and I can call the number back. Much like a pager lol.
I use Line or Telegram to make calls over data.
