i have a few questions you know is there any bugs, bad battery life,or anything annoying not 100% sure whether im going to root it going to use this as my main device instead of my nexus 5 just need something that works good
thanks for your answers
Love my s5 from tmobile, loved it even more when I got the Samsung galaxy tab s. What a pair they make! I need to root it but don't what to trip Knndox due to fact I will be using the Samsung dongle with my appradio 2. Im happy with it, I also bought the qi pad and put the slim one in my phone. Charges great and no cords which is really important to keep water seal. Everytime u open it to charge phone makes it less of a seal. Plus it could break really easy so wireless is the only way to go. Amazon has a great selection. Hope this helps

Are you satisfied with your Huawei mediatap.
I'm considering buying one, but i noticed that the samsung galaxy tap 2 7", is costing almost the same, where i live. This version of the galaxy doesn't have 3g. But I'm not going to use 3g, but it's nice have though. What would you choose, if you had the choice?
Mediapad is a real value for the money. But still this has a small user base, so still lacks good community support. There is no good custom rom so far. In my country Mediapad with ICS costs the same as The Samsung tab 2 7". But the HC version of Mediapad costs less, and it only takes 5 mn to upgrade to ICS.

I have the Springboard from TMobile and find it to be a great device for my needs. I like the cellular capabilities and use it in the car as a GPS. Overall I'm very satisfied and once Huawei releases the source code for ICS the custom ROM's will start to show up. For now I'm rooted and running a stripped down ROM.
the samsung galaxy tab 2 without 3g is 30% cheaper here, the one with 3g the same price.
BUT the samsung has 1024 x 600 display, proprietary Samsung connector so no hdmi and usb. That should be enough to look somewhere else.
edit,-
Forgot that with samsung tab you also need to buy an overpriced connector if you want to hook it up with hdmi to a tv.
Then you need to plug in the samsung power cord to the hdtv connector, then plug the hdtv connector to the tab, then the hdmi cable to the hdtv connector. The tab needs to be powered\charging while connected to a tv.
I really don't like those small proprietary connectors, either they are not at hand when needed or get lost.
Thanks
I read in magazine review today. That the touch screen isn't that well, and that you sometimes have to press twice. Is this also what you have experienced, or is it and old fw issue.

Compared to the fw that came with the tablet, it improves a lot... But still not on par with the likes of Samsung, HTC or other well known brands. Depending on the apps, yes, sometimes the touch won't register.. basically the screen/driver setting is too sensitive thus sometimes touch is registered as swipe. It isn't a big problem though, just a small annoyance. Right now I'm posting this from mediapad and I can type comfortably.
Basically both are good tablet for the money, but I like the fact that mediapad have separate input for the power, HDMI, and USB. The higher dpi screen also very nice... Less zooming needed when you're browsing the net.
I bought one a month ago or so and I can tell that it is a great device with great potential... H/W specs are excellent (especially the screen resolution, cpu and ram), There are already two major custom ICS roms that doesn't do much, but offers a lighter os and the remove of all Huawei apps that you may never use and just consume free space. And the best thing is the price... It's quite cheap for what it offers and the device doesn't give you a "chinese" product quality (in fact it is excellent). It could answer lots of your questions if you read the review at the gsmarena.com.
I'm very happy with mine. I've had it for 3 months or so. I really like the mini usb and hdmi ports which galaxy does not have , screen is not quite as responsive as the galaxy, and some apps are not available in play store that are available for galaxy, but there are workarounds for those. All that in mind, I think you would be happy with either purchase.
I am satisfied with mediapad, in my country the price is much cheaper than the samsung tab 2 (3G). with the same spec, mediapad much better and elegant. (No bundling system in my country)
Just got one pre-owned 2 days ago, good so far
I got a used unit 2 days ago, put in a broadband SIM, and working great so far. Primary use as browsing device and book reader.
Upgraded to C232B005 as well, pretty good. Giving it a good spin over the next few days. Charging via USB works with my existing Galaxy Note 1A charger.
Do you think it's possible?

I I think the easiest way is for a manufacturer to release a case like that that also included wireless charging capabilities. You're not going to be open up your OG and install the needed hardware yourself without serious modification, though.
EDIT: Actually, I take back what I said about not modifying the OG's hardware. http://lifehacker.com/5923977/mod-your-iphone-for-wireless-charging-no-bulky-case-required
Seems like if you have the will, it might be possible.
Yes it is possible...
I was able to put the coild and little magnets in the back of my phone case... so now it sticks to my touch stone... I have not soldered any wires to 5v or grnd on on the phone at all.. That is beyond by ability currently i will look into it. Looks like the nexus 4 has simple prongs already there (for the orb) but they did not include those prongs in the optimus g sprint or att. so either me or someone that is far more skilled will need to figure out where those points should connect to before doing so.
Sorry guys didnt take picture i was a little early to work this morning and did it at my desk before work started. took about 30min. (remember no wiring just simply put coild and magnets in my phone so it at least sticks to the touch stone in my car)

Yeah, they have done it on the N7, and several Samsung phones (much easier with removable backs). Not sure how the OG looks under the hood, but maybe someone could try.
Bump. anyone brave enough to see if the Samsung Note 2 or S4 Wireless charger pad's will fit in our phone? here sure would be sweet if it was as easy as opening it up and installing something like this
I was curious if anyone has had or seen issues with the HOX+ USB port. I was at an AT&T store today and played with the phone, but noticed the plug on the display unit was messed up. I had to giggle or hold the charging cord in a specific spot for the phone to charge. I could tell this by the charging icon in the battery icon on the tool bar.

I know what you're talking about and I've only seen this problem with the cable that HTC sends with the phone. I've tried several other microUSB cables and they all connect perfectly. You also have to consider the fact that the display unit at the AT&T store gets used and dropped by everyone. This includes little kids and dumbasses who disconnect the cable and then try to jam it back in upside down.
TL;DR: Mine works fine. The only trouble I've had is with the stock HTC microUSB cable; others work fine.
Yea I don't use the stock one, I have an Asus charging cable and it snaps in perfectly.
Slithered from my HTC One X+
Thanks, I mark it up to it being a display unit but I wanted to ask. The device is connected to one of those magnetic anti-theft glue on the back things. It has a non-HTC microUSB cable on it, like every other Android device on the shelf.
I really like stock Android, but I am considering this as a 2nd device. My primary is either an iPhone 4S or Galaxy NExus, and the SIM card stays in the Nexus more these days. Pretty funny for a guy that bought a 4gb iPhone 2G in August 2007 when they first came out, and I still have all my iPhones. I am pretty much using my iPhone 4S as a Podcast listening device, as I love Downcast. I am trying to make myself like Doggcatcher, but it missing a few things when it is compared to Downcast. Most of my interaction with software on my Galaxy Nexus is with apps from the Play Store, so some of the Sense UI stuff will not be that bad, I hope.

Those are his current phones, I believe he is considering a One X+ to replace one or both of them.
My daily driver for calls, text, web, RSS, YouTube, Google+ and more is my Galaxy Nexus.
My use my iPhone 4S to listen to podcast and sometimes on WiFi to save battery juice on my Galaxy Nexus.
My AT&T sim card stays in my Galaxy Nexus 99% of the time, but I do carry 2 smart phones with me most of the time.
I am looking to get an HOX+ to replace the iPhone 4S, and I may get a 2nd phone line when I do. When the Nexus 4 is available for purchase again, I will get one to replace my Galaxy Nexus. I may also mess around with Ubuntu on my Galaxy Nexus in the future.

Just thought I'd share this to fellow i777 owners. Not my auction, just passing along a good deal
http://www.ebay.com/itm/40023632305...l?_from=R40&_sacat=0&_nkw=400236323051&_rdc=1
While I knew the i9100 stuff usually worked ok for us, I thought I'd test out one of these. Great fit, silly cheap, does what I need. Grabbed one for the office and another one on the way for the nightstand.
I plan to buy one as well but the one for 30 bucks which comes with a spare battery and hdmi cable
Sent from my SGH I777 running Jellybam 6.3.0
Wish I saw this earlier. I m about to upgrade my phone. Thanks for sharing though.
dock it
it looks pretty nice , i am going to buy one too but choosing still between two different ones
2nd battery
nice find, but how would one know when the external battery is done charging?
Does it stop charging the phone after its full, for a time?
Can you push agains the phone while its on?
Nice find thanks. I need something like this.
I read abt the original dock cradle, that it roughs up the bezel on the sides..
How about this one ??
Is this compatible by size with i777? I thought i777 is little bigger, than i9100.
Thanks for info!
Sorry guys for not following the thread and replying.
The i777 is slightly bigger than the i9100, but not much. This is one of those times where the "just a little off" 3rd party stuff works out to our advantage.
I haven't really used the spare battery charger part yet, so not sure when it knows to be "off"
I use one at home on my nightstand strictly for charging, one at work for hooking into my pc. No problem with data connection and as long as you're not being heavy handed, you can style use the touchscreen while docked.
I am using the dock I got for my note 1 almost 2 years ago for this behemoth. It fits, and works, but it's got a slight wobble from not having a flat bottom like the Note had. I also feel like the phone shouldn't hang over every edge of it's dock. Muffin top is not a becoming look.
Anybody know of a decent dock that won't make me sad in the wallet?

Samsung Galaxy Mega Docks Ebay
Hi
My question is whether Multimedia Smart Dock EDD-S20EWEGSTD will match Galaxy Mega GT-i9205 ?
Propably should work, it has the same 11-pin connector at Note 2, SGS 3 and SGS 4 .
This corresponded to what I can connect to the dock . I read on the net that works well with Note 8.0 , it would be for me to purchase a universal . Only new Galaxy Note 3 Others have looked like a connector USB 3 available in portable drives as if consisting of two parts . That him certainly will not be fit, but it would not buy a shame because the money for the stylus and the programs that and so I did not use . The size of the Mega scares me a little but I think about it more and more, and probably this week I'll go and get him to the store replaced by Note 8 which I forgave her daughter and well-worn SGS II.
Maybe someone tried to effect the Dock of the Galaxy Mega?
If so, please provide all the links, images and videos on the topic .
Ps.: Mega ordered in white reception on Tuesday.
I could not resist This mega cool phone that up dreaming up all night
Had only one item on display because that was no longer mine.
I can verify that the mega works fine with the note 2 smart dock. I watched some videos last night using it.I haven't tried the usb capabilities yet but I'm assuming they would work done.

Ive been testing these dock in Samsung's outlet with 2 old usb 2.0 HDDs (flash type ones), and EDD-S20EWEGSTD showed itself from a bad side at least with one of them, it couldnt supply enough power to feed it up. So as i remember, I was forced to coneect it using additional Y cable to dock and to another additional usb power port (from one another adapter) to make it finally working .... whatta ff*uck?! #1

i have the dock my self, first time i connected it didnt work(scared the hell out of me, cause i've readed something about different versions of the dock) but after i rebooted my phone it worked excelent. still using it.
specs are: 720p video output and the good thing about it is that its charging with 2a charger instead of being stocked with 500ma from an mhl cable.
when you connect wireless mouse/keyboard, the screen of the mega(i9205 i have) goes black and the screen output goes landscape.
people say audio jack doesnt work.. dont believe it thats BULLS**T. look at settings > accessory of youre phone and then check "Audio Output Mode" box to get audio from the jack.
if you have any further questions about information on the dock just pm me ill will get to ya as soon as possible
PS. i found the image on XDA Forums so pls dont blame me for using pictures or whatever, its just for helping purposes.
What about battery discharge rate during use of hdmi function? How is its max 720 p on a big screen? Im using a copy of et-10fau adapter mhl2.0 and it's output is 1080p 60fps. And battery discharge rate is close to 4-5% per hour...

i've got it from a second hand(used by someone else) but its already confirmed that its working.
you can also order on ebay(but be sure its the original samsung one with 11 pins)
EDD-S20 E WEGST D looks as quite obsolete because of its mhl. Its worth to find EDD-S20 J WEGST A. Comparing video output its 720 vs 1080p. And as it is later product = less risks with it.
