Hello,
Few days ago there was topic on XDA about Gear Watch Faces http://forum.xda-developers.com/gear-fit/themes-apps/watchfaces-sandhus-collection-premium-t2869309/page3. This developer https://play.google.com/store/apps/developer?id=Mad+Art+Studios is stealing people's work. And now he is making watch faces similar to ours and reported us for making watch faces like his. What a hypocrisy. What is worse, Google demanded us to removed our two clocks, of course we've appealed. But Google said that we have to add it to GPlay under different name now.
I'm not gonna stop until this kind of behaviours are gonna be punished. I hope you will help us, because it's not only our work that had been stolen but other developers and graphic designers.
Let me know what you think about that.
Man What the **** Are you doing!! Reposrting other people for steeling. But you are the one steeling there work. Cut the Crap!!!

What you should have done, is reach out to the designers. Who spended hours and Hours on creating those faces. And you copy them and sell them. So your making money of their work, which is a really really bad thing to do.
So reach ot to de respectively designers and ask for permission. They put them out for free for a reason. They do not want to earn money of it. And yet you do...
So take them off line ask for permission and than we will look further.

The response from Jeshter2000 made me think that Jagi88 and the thief were one and the same person... but that is not the case!
I reported my stolen designs at Google. 24 hours later they were gone from the thief's shop page... just like some other designs that I recognized as made by @motive
I don't see how this guy can say that WE are stealing HIS designs. I have enough dated material to prove when I created mine. Besides that Gearfaces.com should be able to show posting dates of the original designs.
No [email protected] is the thief his email....
Guys you are all wrong. This guy just changed his name to: Mad Art Studios (I can't post link on this forum until I have 10 posts) And he is lying to all of you. And I'm not that guy. Me and my friend are owners of account devinci (Also can't post a link) And as you can see we have clock that is similar to the one that we are talking about Flipper Clock for Gear Fit and Flipper V Clock for Gear Fit.

It's similar but not exactly the same. We've created it by ourselves, we can prove it by showing project to you with all the layers proving that it was done by us. But I have to admit that our graphic designer at first copied graphics from Sadhu, which was stolen. We've got information about that and we've fired him immediately and removed that clocks on demand of Google. Later we asked another graphic designer to do new graphics with the same concept (what is not theft). We have also white version of this clock which is going to be published tomorrow (notice watermark Jagi88). We put a lot of work and money in doing those clocks...
Believe me or not, but I think that this proof is enough to believe me.
And one more thing. I bought clock from Mad Art Studios to check if this is the same account. And here are informations:

I'm not a developer, I do not have what to report, did not steal my work.I made a complaint to play store with reference to applications that I've bought from him and it doesn't work.
Oh ok, so do you know who is the author of those graphics?
Sadhu is watching this thread on forum, because he/she created white version of flip clock just after I've mentioned that we are going to publish it...
He/she changed account name one more time, now to play.google.com/store/apps/developer?id=Punjabi+Art+Studios

Hi everyone. George Hotz is currently being sued by Sony for cracking the PS3, he has opened a blog asking for help and support from people to help him in the dispute with Sony, here is his blog: http://geohotgotsued.blogspot.com/ and site http://geohot.com/
Now he announced live on tv and all over the media that he will be the first person to crack the SE Xperia Play when it comes out, now the idea is to start this bounty thread and help GeoHot with his dispute in return of help with cracking the bootloader in our x10's. I beleive that all Xperia devices are locked the same way and thus cracking the x10 will also help GeoHot cracking the Play in the future. But we need to approach George in the appropriate manner and ask for help that is why i am starting this thread. This will help us also for all next models like the Arc, Play, Pro, Neo etc. So lets gather some donations and then approach George asking for help.
So please all people that are willing to donate just post the amount in red so it can be easily seen to better update the total amount.
I will donate $20 CDN
Total:
there is already a bootloader cracking bounty thread.. why not just tally that up yourself instead of starting a new thread and expecting everyone to post again...
Im sorry if i have offended you..your post sounds rude. I know there is a bounty thread and that is old maybe half the people are not here anymore, also i did not start the thread and i cannot edit it, this is to help Geohot and him to help us. Like i said we need a solid basis and support, i cant just show him the old thread where it mentions nothing about him and expect him to help. If the OP of the thread wants to do that ok i have no problem with that.

GBP AMOUNT (based on start of week x-rate - indicative only)
£32.15
EUR AMOUNT (based on start of week x-rate - indicative only)
51.47EUR
I'll donate a percentage of the final total, come the end of February.
I'll get in contact with GEOHOT via the methods I have at the moment, will let you know what he says he usually gets back to me quite quick.
I fail to see how this is any different?
A) This thread doesn't belong in Android Development.
B) This isn't any different than the other thread. Both threads are asking for money to give to someone to crack the bootloader. If Geohot wants to crack the X10 and if ever does, then I'm sure the money in the other thread would go to him.
C) The other thread is *only* 2 weeks old
D) This may all be a bit of 'negotiating' by Geohot. ie. Throw out the ridiculous lawsuit and I'll agree not to crack your SE bootloader. If not, I'll continue.
E) I don't think anyone is being rude but it's really a PITA (not the delicious kind) to come in the Development forum and see donation threads repeated ad naseum. He was simply stating facts.
Have anyone of you wrote him?
Sure it would be great if he want to helps us, but i don't think so

Hi Bin4ry this is why I started this thread to have some basis when we contact him and to show him that this is for him and that people are willing to support him in return of help with the bootloader cracking. Thank you for your help as the other person said you are really appreciated here and we could be where were at if it wasn't for you and the other devs.
People please stop complaining about the thread. If mods feel this should be moved or closed they can do so. I just believe we can make something out of this. So please if you want to help just post the amount or how you plan to help. Anyone that doesn't agree with the thread please don't post and start arguments., after all this is for all of us.

wtf are people talking about!
Geohot is just a glorified hacker who's a media whore. He didnt crack the ps3, Fail0verflow did and they didnt release the private keys, geohot did, all he did was make piracy an option for ps3 owners and cause honest consumers grief or at least he will do. Also he is just in it to get publicity as he thinks that some big company will hire him. Any good company will see through his stupidity. Sorry i just really dont like Geohot... I think the SG playstation podcast explains it pretty well.
I doubt he'll do it, when he tried to hack the ps3 before he failed and when others analysed his work it seemed like a very stupid way to do it.
He hasnt had that much experiance with android/mobile devices like j and z and all the other brilliant devs around here. He's not as great as you might think, he's just an average hacker with a big ego and a lot of publicity.

i suppose, its just i dont trust him. I have a feeling he'll take all the credit when theres a 65+ page thread documenting various devs attempts at hacking the bootloader. Also i just feel like people praise him a bit too much so it annoys me.
I'll give him the sorta benifit of the doubt and hope that he actually does make some more progress with hacking the bootloader.

ROUND 3:
THE ICS LEAK AND THE THEAD HAS BEEN REMOVED FROM XDA AS WELL AS POSTS MADE BY epinter FOR THE PAST COUPLE DAYS!
The official reason as to why this happened

Cnet Article: FBI warns users of mobile malware
Support My Moto Campaign has been specifically mentioned in latest Cnet article.
A big thanks goes out to Casey Newton and Roger Cheng for mentioning us here at Support My Moto!

This is the Official Support My Moto Campaign Thread
Support My Moto! at supportmymoto.comA unified campaign backed by developers and you requesting Ice Cream Sandwich & Jellybean updates, source code, and unlocked bootloaders for the owners of Atrix MB860, Atrix MB861, Atrix ME860, Electrify MB853 ,Photon MB855, DROID X2, MB870, XT882, MT870
The main goals of the campaign is to have a unified front in submission of requests for Ice Cream Sandwich & Jellybean updates, source code, and unlocked bootloaders for the owners of Atrix MB860, Atrix MB861, Atrix ME860, Electrify MB853 ,Photon MB855, DROID X2, MB870, XT882, MT870.
What we would like to happen;
Unlock would make JB ROMs available to anybody that wants it.
Updating would cover more moto owners and thereby minimize the impact to Moto's profits and public image.
A clean plan of how the $100 credit is to work as "We're looking into it" type statements are very damaging.
The reason we ask these things is that it gives Motorola room to work with. Once/if Motorola decides to open up a line of communication then specifics could be discussed. Ideally unlock and an update would cover almost all Moto owners. Either way, both solutions would be of benefit to Moto. Even though I'm fronting the campaign I would like to see as many people walk away from it happy, or at least not want to attack each other.
This is achieved by filing Better Business Bureau Complaints, FTC Complaints, emailing The Consumerist and signing the petitions. These things and more can be achieved at the

I just sent an email to Consumer Reports and it went like this:
CR did a review on not too long ago and gave high marks to the smartphone known as the Motorola Photon 4G. While I think that your review is fairly accurate, one thing you should mention to fellow consumers is Motorola's unfair business practice. Quite simply, Motorola posted an update schedule for upgrading the Android OS. The schedule stated for a period of a few months that this and a few other of their smartphones would receive an update to Android 4.0.4, also known as Ice Cream Sandwich. Currently, the only update it has been given is a maintenance release that only fixed a handful of issues and one that effectively locked the bootloader. In laymens terms, they closed the possibility for developers to enhance the devices longevity and usefulness. They effectively killed the open source nature of Android and its promise for software update support for the next 18 months, all of which were major selling points for most of their phones. In essence, they have effectively lied to consumers about the way they handle business and I would like for this to be brought to light, so that others may know just what they are getting into when dealing with Motorola Mobility and its affiliates. It is just very frustrating to have such a high-end device (that I worked hard to have) be left in the dark and abandoned by a company that I thought to be one of the leaders of the communications and development industry.

AWESOME andr0idfreak!! Make sure you post their response or coverage here. ;D :good:
By the way, everyone if it is any constellations if you Google search "Motorola forum" then all the negative coverage of the fact Motorola is dropping ICS/JB updates for our devices are high on the results page. Only if we can get the same results to come up higher for a search with "Motorola" by itself.
Also, check this out the latest financial results from Google indicates that Motorola Mobility will be faced with additional layoffs unfortunately. You can go there to read up and post your analysis as to how their future may be affected by losing more potential customers due to their decision to drop ICS/JB for our devices. Let's see how that will resonate outside of the Tech circles when they think of Motorola Mobility and Google ownership. It is unfortunate for the employees who are being let go though. =/
Washington Post - Google broadening Motorola job cuts
Chicago Tribune - Google plans more job cuts at Motorola
Times of India - Google warns of job cuts at Motorola
NDTV - Motorola job cuts in Q3 to cost Google $340 mn; more cuts likely
Here's a screenshot of the mail sent to them along with their reply. They are one of the popular tech news website in India.

Time just did a small piece based on the CNET one:
http://techland.time.com/2012/10/06/will-the-android-upgrade-mess-ever-get-fixed/
That's pretty far reaching.
I've been keeping the Main thread updated to what's going one as well as the site
UPDATE:
"Update My Moto" has closed their campaign. Their site now redirects to supportmymoto.com. Even though I felt the leak was not enough, as it only covered a very limited number of devices, I stated that I would support their decision.
With supportmymoto.com (yours truly) attending the Big Android BBQ, please bump the various threads and spread the word.
Yet another reason to spread the word!
FBI warns users of mobile malware
Google is stated as saying the following;
"Google is aware of this and new features on its latest Android mobile OS -- Jelly Bean 4.1 -- aim to beef up the system's security over past OS iterations. With Jelly Bean's design, Google hopes to defend against hacks that install viruses, along with other malware."
Again, the call goes out to supporters to spread the word and I hope to see some of you at the Big Android BBQ!
Joke of the Day!
How do you install the Google Calender App on an 8 month old Tegra2 Moto?
You hit it with a hammer and by a 2 year old HTC Incredible S!
(Out of 44 phones released by major manufacturers in 2011 that have been upgraded to ICS or better, only two are Moto's. This isn't even including the Nexus line. HTC, LG, Samsung and even ZTE, of all people, seem to be able to upgrade their Tegra2 phone to ICS. WTF Moto!)
FTC complaint filed (Moto/Sprint MB855)
If Congress can stop/ban ZTE and Huawei for possible spying charges, etc. Could it be possible they force Motorola to provide updates for our phones to prevent vulnerable security leaks and such as well?

After seeing two public statements being made that are bold faced lies, I think it would be fair and necessary for the community to make a more coordinated and collaborative effort at voicing the discontent on this situation to Google and other entities that can broaden our ripples. Getting the message to the right people is difficult and can often get lost in the low-middle management level instead of making it to the eyes that matter. Until they understand that you can't play around with a consumer's time and money just because they hold the product that is so widely coveted, then we will not be free of this chaos next year or any year that follows. I urge you to find a way or multiple ways to speak up and respectfully state the specifics on how this entire situation has been mishandled, and what our simple requests are as consumers, loyal fans, and product advocates. Please post your avenues of progress within this thread as you create your own ripples, and may our ripples join together to create waves that reach far enough past the California coastline to smack against the windows of the titans.

Anyone who has been active in or following the Shipping Waiting Room thread would understand. Google is letting orders hang in limbo that have been ordered since day 1 while fulfilling orders for the same color and storage that have been processed only a few days ago. Yesterday they posted on Google+ and Twitter that they are processing orders in the order that they've been placed, which is clearly a lie. This is about asking Google to make an honest statement as to the reasoning behind this, and for them to understand why it pisses off consumers so next year they have their stuff together in a more accurate and fair process. - This has caused a lot of individuals to lose their $50 Play credit in order to get a device as their original order hasn't moved forward well beyond their shipping promise date. Google has also denied to compensate for these credits if we cancel the early orders to buy one that is moving forward.

The lack of a clear indication as to what you're so unhappy about doesn't allow us to hear join you. What is your major problem and in what ways has the 'mishandling' occurred to and affected you?
In short, it doesn't make much sense as it is!

It isn't a bad thing to be patient, but it also doesn't hurt to make sure companies understand that the consumers aren't stupid and can recognize a lie.
It's a pre-order device.
Sometimes computer ordering systems have issues.
I ordered 9/29 and my device just shipped yesterday.
It's not a life saving device. It's an eff'n phone.

So what you're saying is that if you see a pair of really nice Nike shoes that perfectly fit your needs and Nike says to go ahead and pay for them for a promise to get them to you by X date, and at X date there is no sign of getting the pair you paid for nor have you received any communication from Nike as to why, yet you can see people walking in and buying the same exact pair and getting them the very next day, but Nike says "hey pal, don't worry, we are giving people their shoes in the order they gave us money", that it's ok? If we acted in that same manner in our jobs, we wouldn't be employed. All I would want is for Google to withdraw their false statement and give a true statement owning up to the problem so we can see that they recognize the issue and have the tools to prevent it next year.
Dear Google, I am sorry that I was so impatient to receive my device. I am now very happy though, and I now barely remember the month I had to wait.

I called and asked them if there was a problem shipping some of the pre-orders and they said no. Mine was supposed to arrive on the 10th but it was shipped the day after I called. I think demand has them a bit flat-footed.
It's pretty clear that you aren't getting or just don't care about the point. Being patient isn't the issue nor a part of the complaint. Apathy towards big corporations using their power to break their own promises and completely disregard the loyalty of their consumers is the reason we now have attrociously high consumer costs for the minimum to be delivered in quantity and quality.

Makes a lot more sense now! I wasn't flaming you, I know the frustrations well.
it sucks I had to order a second phone after being told mine was going to be delayed only to ship on time. But there's a local member whos hasnt shipped yet thats going to take it off my hands so all and all it was a bit sucky.
The fact that people pre ordered a device on Oct 1st and don't have their devices in their hands yet people who ordered this Monday already do should make consumers angry. It's called holding businesses accountable. If every one had the attitude of some posters here *****ing about people being upset then why should businesses care to improve if they know the consumer will willingly take it up the bum?

I could say the inverse about people who act the way you are about situations like this. What's with people letting themselves get walked all over by corporations/(insert any other figure of authority here) and believing it is ok to be fed lies while the truth is covered up? "Get the eff over it"? How about grow a pair and not be afraid to speak up and call people out on their lies. If you want to get technical, Google did "rob" people in a figurative manner. Those who pre-ordered paid real cash to secure real items in a specific order of allocation. Google handing out those items to people that placed an order after these folks is essentially robbing both their time and product to satisfy another individual. Brushing the whole situation off as "meh it got screwed up" is an apathetic excuse. A company the size of Google with the amount of resources available to be the world's largest and fastest search engine and database should be able to handle a simple task such as aligning pre-orders based on time of purchase and fulfilling them in ascending order. A few here and there being shipped out ahead of another would be a "meh" situation, but at this volume there is something clearly wrong and would indicate the need for Google to clarify what is happening and why, not easily disproven public statements of "it's ok guys, we're doing it right because we're Google".
I'm not even going to read that wall of text reply.

You mean a paragraph? Thanks for proving my point.
All this module does for now is restore the last seen time on your Tinder matches.
It currently works only with people you've matched with and not when you swipe.
Hopefully future versions will include more features.

Tested on Tinder versions 4.4.4, 4.5.2 and 4.5.5.
Tested on KitKat and Lollipop.
26/03/16
Released version 1.0.2 that now supports KitKat as well.
Would love to hear suggestions, comments, bugs and positive / negative feedback.

Any Screenshots or anything? Proof that it works? Tinder version required and such? It doesn't work for myself so would like more info.
Confused..
I'm utterly confused... What purpose does this mod have?.. To show what? Why would you want your matches to know your on 24/7 ... Isn't that counter productive

I assumed it restored it for you to see when your matches were last on. Not letting yyou matches see your "last seen" but you see when they were on.

Up to version 4.3.5 of Tinder, you could have seen the time when your matches were last online.
This feature was removed on version 4.4.1 and forward. What this mod does is simply bring it back.

It was tested on versions 4.4.4 and 4.5.2.
As I said in the top post, XDA won't let me link to the repo or post screenshots because I am a new user.
Just google TinderMods xposed and there is a screenshot on the repo website.
I tried this with 4.5.2. I can confirm it is working, although the format makes me do a double take. It's listed as 16/2/16...........instead of 2/16/16......and a 24hr time stamp.
In the US, usually we read dates as month/day/year, so if you are not used to reading the day/month/year, it'll take some getting used to. I've used Tinder since it first came out nearly 4 years ago, and have seen the app change quite a bit.
The OP can correct me if I am wrong, but I believe the OP's purpose for the last online time stamp is to determine when the person was last online so....in theory you can tell if they are ignoring you after you send a message, b/c if you sent it, then they were online, they likely saw it and are possibly ignoring you.
This is the reason why I think Tinder took away this option was b/c of it allows ppl to check messages without the scrutiny of giving the perception of ignoring the person LOL. Tbh, it's not an issue based on my experience (as a guy), b/c:
1. If the person likes you, they typically respond very quickly. That has been my experience.
2. If they person does not respond, they either are never online or are not interested so you are wasting your time anyway.
I can't seem to get it to activate. I installed the module, rebooted, and still no dice. I even tried reinstalling 4.5.2 but nothing.

Yeah you're right, I'm from Israel and that's how we read the dates here.

If they picked you they were online at some point. That doesn't make sense. I'd rather women just unmatch if it's that they don't want to talk. Online dating is either a cheap thrill or stressful depending on your personality.

Thanks for the mod. It is useful. As I said before I've seen the app change during the years. Before it used to also be much leaner, then the app seems to have progressively become more and more "bloaty"

Sure that is true. Again, Tinder has changed a lot since I first started using it. In the US, Tinder is FULL of bots. They are profiles which send automated messages. This really took off around late 2014.
From when it first came out until, I'd say late 2014, Tinder was great. The app was lean, less bloat, no bots, and girls who were on there were worthwhile. You also had unlimited swipes, they didn't charge. Now (today), the app is heavy although gotten better, girls are on there are usually a waste of time, there is a limit on swipes, etc.......Usually most girls are just wasting time with it.....

Chromebook enabling usb boot
Hello friends! I am currently using an early model toshiba chromebook 2 looking to try to boot REmix OS from usb. I have already made a bootable usb with the operating system and have placed the device into developer mode ( am currently using crouton with ubuntu and it runs fine but its running precise and was looking for xenial but can not figure out how to run a more updated version of ubuntu so i figured usb boot to be the next best thing). I have opened up a shell and gained root access and thought i enabled usb boot with crossystem dev_boot_usb=1 dev_boot_legacy=1 but all i get upon boot is the usual "os verification off" screen when I input ctrl+u a black screen will flash for approx. 2 seconds and that then the device goes back to the os verification screen and eventually to a normal boot. any help would be appreciated. I work two jobs and will only be able to update once a day usually. I apologize in advance.

Quick question as I'm new to Chromebooks from July.
I've been using the orginal Chromebook Pixel and have loved it so far, it is my understanding that the original Pixel will not be getting Android apps, however with what little understanding of ChromeOS under the hood in mind, would it not be possible to add that functionality into the original Pixel as well as other Chromebooks which are unsupported, or is there an underlying issue preventing such a thing that I've skipped over or am unaware of?
Thanks, hopefully somebody can shed some light as I've searched high and low for info but no luck!

Hi
Just wondering if Google has rolled out support to any more Chromebooks (on a stable channel) than the three it mentioned in May? If not is their any word of when they intend to do this?
I have a Toshiba 2 CB30-B-104 (HD version) and live in the UK.
My apologies if this is the wrong place. Is there a current model chromebook with LTE support? I've been doing some googling and saw a few older ones, but I'm looking for something current. Specifically I'm looking for band 12 support.

Hi,
I have a couple of XE303C12 in the family.
I updated couple of phones to Android 6 (root and upgrade ROM) and asked myself, why not do that trick also in the Chromebook?
But is there anything out there like updating the system to software from newer chromebooks?
Because I can't find it...
Thanks,
Johan
Edit: Just realised I am duplicating johnjingle above. Apologies! Thought I had clicked johnjingle's link and found it to lead to a different thread. My mistake - Too many tabs, tiny phone screen.

I can't post a link at the moment but if you google "ifixit managed chromebook" (without quotes) you will find a guide/walkthrough you can try. Basically it involves opening the device, removing the write-protect screw on the motherboard, pulling the battery for 30 seconds, then putting the device in developer mode and in a root shell using vpd-l to view current serial#, & vpd-s to write new.
Download?
Where can I download a reputable build of Chromium OS so I can try putting it on my old laptop?
