So i am guessing this can be installed on non moto g phones as well. Let me know if both apps need to be installed like a normal app or do i need to put them into /system?

Well, it's an .odex file, so I think you need to deodex it first, but you can try to copy the .apk and .odex of LGHome to /system/app, change permissions to rw-r--r and reboot.
Don't forget to make a backup before!

I have use root browser, and copy the LGhome.apk and LGhome.odex to \system\app, and change the permission. After reboot, the apk installed, however, when I try to use it, it said unfortunately, Home has stopped.
I am using Nexus 7 2013 wifi version with Android 4.4.2, have I done anything wrong? or the home.apk won't support? Thanks a lot for answering me.

I think it's because of .odex file.
Maybe if you (or someone else) deodex it you can make it works.

Mate, to make the zip file for ROMs, gapps, other mods the method is different!
And logo.bin is a different file.. It dont have same scripts as normal zips...
You can download flashable zip from moto g thread and see its content!

put the script from moto g zip into a folder and the edited logo.bin
and create zip
extract the zip of moto g logo and then replace the logo.bin with any of moto e logos and zip that back and flash it will mostly work since its from a moto device
you can find my logos collection in themes and mods section

Yup, I know that, we can just replace logo.bin in that zip with our.
But we don't know what is clogo.img. Maybe it may create problems in phone as its for moto g or maybe it work.. I can still replace logo.bin of our moto E in that moto g zip and give, but clogo may/maynot cause problems!

OK I will try and report.
Backwards request anyone know where I could find the warning message to reflash?? I was rather proud of it and testing a ROM made it go away the other day..

Oh yeah, been waiting for this. Can you let us know if this works on the g4? I too want the manual control in video, and one review of the v10 seemed to indicate they may have improved the stills as well, i guess in the post processing
