4.4.4 link - Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note 3

Does anyone have a working 4.4.4 download link?

There is a link in this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-3-sprint/general/4-4-4-inbound-t2871557
page 5 or so I posted the md5 of what downloaded here when my phone pulled the update. So if that link posted in the thread has matching md5 I'd say the file is good.

The file that Omar04 posted is definitely corrupt. I tried many different way to open and fix. So someone else will have to post it. I will soon as I get the update.

Go and check the md5 from @Omar04 upload and see if it matches the one I posted.
Everyone that's tried to extract the update that their phone has downloaded has had the same issue.
idone said:
md5 I got for update is:
D2EC5D31A1F786CA7E95D7FF63D9893C
unpacks \update\META-INF\com\android\metadata with contents of
Code:
post-build=samsung/hltespr/hltespr:4.4.4/KTU84P/N900PVPUDNH7:user/release-keys
post-timestamp=1409206131
pre-build=samsung/hltespr/hltespr:4.4.2/KOT49H/N900PVPUCNC5:user/release-keys
pre-device=hltespr
Then overwrites this file with an over 2mb elf file of the same name.
I'm thinking that binary takes care of the rest of the unpacking..? It would seem so I guess.

I downloaded the OTA, but when I reboot it fails in updating. I am on rooted stock nc5 with an engineering bootloader. what do I have to do to get the update? my knox is tripped already.

You need to Odin stock NC5 bootloader then flash back to 100% unrooted stock.

No you need to flash the stock bootloader. https://www.dropbox.com/s/tef6vr2iuieasqq/NC5_OEM_BL.tar.md5?dl=0
Then flash stock Unrooted NC5 because the update will still see that you were modified and not stock. There is two places to look if you are official. 1st place is under settings about phone. The other place is in download mode. If both places don't say official or Samsung Official then it won't update. Here is a stock one click nc5 rom. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=51848277

Thanks, i'll flash the bootloader first (hitting bootloader icon in odin) then the nc5 rom next (hitting pda in odin). the last question is when I flash nc5 rom i won't actually lose anything right? such as my current config or files.
Thanks,
John

First thing I forgot. In order for the bootloader to stick do a cold boot into download mode. To do that completely shut off phone the wait about 30 seconds after the button lights turn off then hold power+home+volume down button at the same time until you see the Samsung logo.
And about the one click I would back up everything! You might loose stuff. Can't promise. I used the one click earlier and didn't loose anything. But you I took a chance. I also made a nandroid backup.

Can you please tell me how you resolved this issue. I have a VZW note 2 and I have the same issue. I didn't see the instructions in the forum. Thanks for your help.
Can someone please help me? I was rooted but my bootloader was not unlocked and before I read anything... I am so stupid... I downloaded goomanager and now I have a soft brick that I am not able to get out of. I have followed every direction and used every recovery rom even the stock rom. The stock rom will not even load in Odin all I get is an error. I really don't know what to do at this point. Thanks

[Q] Been reading for 2 days!

Ok...I am ready for the abuse. I just don't want to screw this up. I have downloaded numerous files in anticipation of this all making sense. I know it is something so simple to do but I am just not getting it. Here is the deal. I am on Jellybomb which we all know is MJ4. I want to move to KitKat. I am thinking Freeza's Deodexed Stockisk rom. I know once I am there it should be fairly straight forward to flash Josh's KitKatKiller when it becomes available.
I am just hoping somebody can provide clear instructions on exactly how to do this. Thank you for any assistance provided.

Did u figure this out yet? I'm in the same boat and haven't quite made the full transition from HTC as far as knowledge goes.
What I'm thinking is just flash to NAB in odin then the twrp recovery... Maybe the other way around... Still waiting on a more transparent set of instructions.

I was way over thinking it. You just have to Odin stock Mj4 then Odin stock NAB then follow the directions in the following post and you will be golden. I would do a factory reset after mj4 Odin.

Why not just go from og MJ4 to NAB? Why go to stock? A bootloader is still defined by what it is even if its modified a bit, idk, guess it doesn't hurt anything not too right? lol :cyclops:

Alright, so revert to stock MJ4 in odin, then NAB, then kitkat rom, then cf-root, TWRP, === Profit? When do you install the stock kitkat? So many posts refer to specific scenarios so it's getting me more confused here. It's early for me yet.

No, NAB is the stock KitKat rom.
1) Odin MJ4
2) After all done booting up (I would suggest) Booting into stock recovery and doing a factory reset. You get into stock recovery by holding volume up, the home button and the power button.
3) Odin NAB
4) Follow the directions in this post exactly. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=50505723
5) Once you are all done doing that, you will be on Stock rooted KitKat. From there you can flash any new roms the same way that you did on Jellybean.
Ahh, okay. I thought NAB was bootloader only. Will give it a shot here in a few minutes. Gotta work up the caffeine bravery and hide my cat so he doesn't spontaneously combust.

It looks confusing because on step 2 it says Download Engineering Bootloader N900PVPUCNAB. That file is the bootloader for NAB. The rom is the other file that I attached "Nab_Home".

Well, I installed MJ4 stock through bootloader and just get "System UI has stopped". I'm just gonna factory reset now and then do NAB, That right? Or should I attempt to install MJ4 again through PDA? It boots, I'm just worried about the system-ui thing. I know all that will be reflashed, but just for the sake of feeling good about it. lol.

[Q] Lost Internet after flash

I was trying to flash an updated version of the ROM i had, but a verizon message came up, essentially telling me my bootloader was still locked. I looked it up, and the fix is supposedly flashing it back to stock, which I tried, but it has no internet connection (wifi or service) and it loaded the ROM i had been trying to install earlier.
I double checked my model number, to see if that did anything, and it's changed from what it was when I flashed the first ROM, so i tried flashing the firmware for that model, but Odin just gives me a fail message for that, so i can get my ROM to run, but my internet is borked, and I can't get it back to stock to see if that fixes it.
Because I can't get internet access it's screwing up a lot of my attempts to fix it, and my computer refuses to read it, so I can't do anything from that end.
Also, while my WiFi refuses to turn on (switch pops back to grey after trying to turn it on) my service bars act like they're receiving, changing up and down, but they're greyed out and the carrier name is 'Empty'.

Original Build: if you mean what I was using before flash, I can't find the link to it, it was one of the first stock android ROMs for the GS4. If you mean prior to that, it was the standard Samsung TouchWiz the GS4 comes with.
I was trying to flash the ROM found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2340783
I flashed it using TWRP > wipe data/cache, factory reset > install zip > wipe dalvik cache > boot. When that didn't seem to work, I tried flashing stock using Odin, as I can't get the zips onto my phone now.

I mean the last official build the phone was on before you started flashing. (MDK, ME7, MI1, MJ7 or MK2)
Did you ever take any OTA's?

Very important that you use the MDK file and not one of the others as those will lock your phone back up and no more custom recovery for you.

And try that.

I got my phone back to stock, made sure my internet was working, rooted it, installed TWRP, and everything worked fine, but I have a question that might be a bit out of the bounds of this post. When I tried to use TWRP to flash stock android onto it I get the message "Verizon has detected unauthorized software [etc]". This is linked to the bootloader, if I recall correctly, but I can't find some really good help with it.
Further help would appreciated, but what you've done already has helped me far more than I had hoped when I posted, so thank you, oh so much.

I'm not sure what state your phone is in now however. You may have to Odin back to stock mdk then reroot and install twrp again. What is your phone doing now? Can still get into recovery

I already flashed to stock/rerooted/reinstalled twrp, previously it was giving me the error "Verizon has encountered unauthorized software on this device, please turn off your phone and take it to the nearest store" or something along those lines.
newb question: what does AOSP stand for?

[Baseband/Modem] NH7 Odin flashable

Hey guys, here's an Odin flashable of the NH7 modem, for those who wish to remain on their current setup but still benefit from having the new baseband.
The steps to flash this are as follows (make sure you have the Samsung mobile drivers installed so that your phone can be recognized by Odin):
-Disconnect your phone from the PC, if it's connected.
-Completely power down your phone, not reboot, or boot into download mode, but power down.
-Power back on your phone into download mode (vol+down, power, home)
-Open Odin (3.04/3.09) and connect your phone to the PC. At this point, Odin shoudl say <<Added>> or something of the sort.
-Uncheck "auto reboot" from Odin.
-Load up this NH7 baseband tar image into the PDA (3.04) or AP(?) (3.09) section of Odin, and flash.
-Once complete, disconnect your phone, remove the battery for around 5-10 seconds, then power your phone back on into download mode.
-Check "auto reboot" from Odin.
-Flash again, then let your phone auto reboot back into android.
-You should either receive an "android has been upgraded" message or you can verify you're on the new baseband by checking settings>about
-Profit
Note: Steps were taken from the unlock thread in general.
Download NH7 baseband/modem: Here
Thanks for this

OP updated... I posting a different link, same file. I've had one person post success with it, so it was probably either a bad upload or my site not completing downloads.
@freeza sup bud. I have a question if I have mobile Odin and flash this will it affect my phone while I'm on NC5 or update the baseband then flash the stock rooted NH7 rom then reboot
Still a no go with updated op.

Unless Mobile Odin had changed recently, I believe that modems are about the only thing it won't flash correctly. PC Odin is the way to go for modem flashes (until someone puts together recovery flashable modem).

Update: After being rooted with CF-Auto-Root and installed philz_touch_6.48.4, and MJ4 modem (due to domestic sim unlock), this ROM still has working fm radio(with Nextradio)/screen mirroring/video camera, . That's the only ROM that got all 3 functions working among several ROMs I tested. Isn't this awesome?!
Use Kies and download it.

Kingo is trying to root but it doesn't seem to be working. Just cycles through checking ROOT status, Downloading requisite dependency files, waiting for device....

I'll assume you're on a custom recovery... Follow this link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1538053
Scroll down to "CWM / TWRP / Mobile ODIN installable ZIP" and grab the link in there. Flash in recovery and you should be good to go.

You were just being thorough!
I can't post external links yet (I've been lurking in the shadows of this site for darn near 4 years and NEVER post, haha... so work with me here).
Google "install twrp via odin sprint note 3" first hit should be for "Samsung Galaxy Note 3 (Sprint) - TeamWin"
Scroll down to Download - Odin Method.
Install TWRP via ODIN
Install SuperSu via my first link.
Used Wanam Xposed and phone status is set to offical, but Kies still think mine is the lastest. Anyway, I will stick with 4.4.2 for working video camera, screen mirroring and fm.

You can ODIN the full stock .tar and then follow up with TWRP and flash your ROM after that.
I just did this process to upgrade from NH7 and then re-flashed Tema's CM12.
Cf auto root will root it
Anyone got a link to Cf auto root for sm900p? I get bandwidth exceeded when I download from chainfire
No issues rooting and installing TWRP on NK4 for me. My steps were as follows:
1. Downloaded the official N900PVPUDNK4_N900PSPTDNK4_SPR from the links in the OP.
2. Backed up my rooted NH7 (via Titanium Backup and TWRP) just in case.
3. Wiped everything via TWRP recovery.
4. Odin (v3.09) NK4 using the AP slot and let the phone reboot.
4b. Probably overkill but I then did a factory wipe via stock recovery and rebooted.
5. Odin TWRP 2.8.1.0 and rebooted into recovery.
6. Installed Chainfire's SuperSU-2.40.zip via TWRP recovery and rebooted the phone.
7. Immediately got rid of all the bloat using Titanium Backup!
So far I haven't run into any issues.
Did you ever get it to work?

My software and baseband are both nk4.
I went full stock nh7 and updated ota.
When I updated to nh7 (when it was new), I used kies... It only updated one and caused me problems. I had to flash both via odin to fix back then.
Ya looks like my baseband never took I'll have to fix at a later point. Phones working fine though. It's weird.

You might want to try to power off before odin. Sometimes modem wont be updated if odined after a mere reboot.
