Rom was SuperNexus. I like the rom (maybe draining the battery a bit fast... but at this point.. could be anything).
I'm still on 2.09 hboot. I've been taking this one step at a time. I haven't found any guides to upgrade it to 2.10 yet, but haven't looked.
But todays issue is this. I lost 4g! My wifes phone (stock) has access to 4g so I know it's not the tower and checked it from multiple locations. I also noticed in some cases she can get 3g and I'm showing up with 1x!?!
Anyway, I didn't want to move farther with 2.10 until I figure out if it's the rom or if I need to do a nand restore to get it back.
Any suggestion on what to do next? (update to 2.10? find a 2.09 compatible rom and try that? restore nand then try again?)
btw, I'm on Ting, I don't think that will make a difference. Great service btw, HIGHLY recommend it over Sprint direct! Let me know if you want a referral and we both get $25 bucks off the first month. super cheap prices, pay as you go)....
<EDIT>
Quick addition - I did a restore from twirp of the original and 4g didn't come back ... Anyone know what could be wrong? Or what I can do? Thanks!
</EDIT>
<EDIT2>
Anyone even know what to search for? LTE or 4G doesn't work since it's in the phone name.
Thanks
</EDIT2>
Thanks!

It's on HTC's website, dated July 7th. I haven't seen any other threads on it, and I wanted to see if anyone else has tried it. I've updated to it myself, and it seems to be an overall improvement over the version I had. There's really nothing much in the notes, though it seems they tweaked quite a bit. Most notably, it's done wonders for my battery life. I used to always come home with a phone that was nearly dead. Now I get home with 60-70% still left on the battery. It could be my imagination, but the phone seems a bit more responsive now as well. If the battery life is anything to go by, it could just be from general optimization of the ROM. Other points of interest... the activesync app is no longer self-launching, and Opera Mobile appears to have had an update as well.

im in the process of doing it know, ill let ya know what i think in a bit
I tried it when it 1st came out, its definitely better than the shipped rom, but its still got all of the bloatware and other b.s. that interferes with performance. IMO, you're still better off with a cooked rom.
ya i honestly cant tell a different between stock rom and this update
Oh yeah, I'm sure a cooked rom is faster. Just thought I'd put the PSA out there. It does seem to address a few issues for my launch version of the ROM.
one of these day ill get around to putting a custom rom on my phone.
thiers just to many and i cant figure out which one i want
stock
if i have already unlocked my phone and running a custom rom and want to flash to this stock rom do i need to do anything different?
No, just flash as you normally do. Every couple of flashes I go back to the stock rom anyway. Probably just the "placebo" effect, but I've convinced myself it helps.
Do it for the Radio

Notation to everyone here this ROM includes an updated radio. 1.12.20F. So that it's self should be worth it. I run NFS rom but I am going to update to this so I can grab the updated radio. I will then jump to his. My radio is currently 1.03.16F. It also has the later PRL and PRI.
I see the in the Radio Thread in this forum that they have the alltel readio without the whole ROM. So if you want go that route. I have just found that doing a stock flash every once in awhile keeps my custom flashing less problematic.
im still having problems as far as radio signal.........and the only reason i don't just upgraded the radio is their is no alltel dump yet
I also get great battery life after the update.

Go to this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=531134
and look on the first post. In it it says how to check my signal. That will show you what you need. Lower is better for all 3 numbers it shows in the post to look at.

typing this didn't do anything...all i got was call cant be completed as dialed
One very nice discovery I made today (because of how little I actually talk on my TP) is that they've changed the call answer screen a bit. Seems they took a page from Apple's book and changed the answer and ignore buttons into a slider. You slide it all the way left to answer, and right to ignore. Should fix the accidental answer problem I know a lot of people (including myself) have had.
Will this work on Verizon TP? I know i will have to apply keyboard patch but would it work?
Radio should work no problem, especially since alltel and verizon are 1 now.
I dispise Verizon ROM. No YouTube, No Internet Sharing etc... Got it as a insurance replacement when my Alltel TP broke. They said they don't have Alltel TPs anymore.
Please give me the good news... PLEEEAAASE
PS: I already have GPS unlocked using MR1 release from Verizon.

I wouldn't attempt it if I were you. Have you considered trying a custom rom? If you've never done it I could help you through the process. Stock roms SUCK!
Can i ask you if it works in a touch pro un-locked of the vodafone Italy company?
I have an alltel touch pro but my area switched to verizon now, im assuming this won't be a problem because i didn't need to do any update when they switched so im guessing the radio won't be an issue? Really want to do this if it increases battery.
Also will this remove any settings or themes that kind of stuff?
edit nevermind i see it removes everything.
if i take my memory card out before i update can will all the programs that are one it reinstall? and when i put all my backed up data back on the device do the programs reinstall or do i have to do something to reinstall them?
so i have been lurking the rezound forums for quite some time, and I actually used the phone for 3-4, which is good to to my work bc i switch all the time. however, I never S-Offed the the phone so im in a little bit of a pickle..I sold it to a customer who said they wanted it to work on Straight Talk, mainly data and voice. I Said shouldnt be a problem bc they were going to finish out 6 months of contract with vzw,. However he has put on a recent leak(The one before our newest "should be OTA" so the ,5), just the ROM i believed, I had previously put Amn=Ra and made a backup on GB before i sold it in case he encountered any problems since he wanted to buy it rooted to screw around, anyhow im hoping that the backup will somehow save me if i have any errors.
Basically he has chosen today to want to put the phone on ST, im not worried about everything working right off the bat, mainly calls and data. I have read that there are GSM Roms only which is what i really need to apply. So As much as I have read im not clear on what exactly needs to be done to get it on a GSMRom?
Ive searced but these threads seem down and i have spnt much of the last couple of months graduating, moving, and lurking in the GNex forums. Any help would be appreciated as this is a hell of a device he loves it and wants it on ST. Please do not reply with search. I am not sure of where to start, and i simply want this to be as pain free as possible for him. I have spent plenty of time searching, and will know what to do with directions, also ADBand i are good friends, however im using a windows machine instead of my mac today so that may take some adjust ment, if anyone who knows could simply give a long time member the information (and someone who handily knows) i want to cause no pain, just give me a few links and hints as to where to start.
the phone actually works out of the box on GSM network but only voice. It can work for both voice and data if you apply the gsm fix. I would suggest that you start with this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1421341
You technically do not need to flash any custom rom but it may work better. In the Rom section there are a couple of GMS specific roms that you can try. The rom has its own specific detail on how ot flash it. I am not too certain if they all need to be S-off but I would suggest that as it makes it easier to test roms.
I would first to make things simple and not have to flash extra stuff every time just s-off it's very simple and fast now. Second the gsm fix is hit or miss. I would just after you s-off run a ics ruu then use one of the gsm only roms out. If I remember correctly you can only really get 3G on t-mobile's network and 2G on at&t's. I also think I saw where the 3G might need the two specific bands to get it but not sure on that. So s-off and ruu to ics then flash a gsm rom and it should be good to go. That way if anything ever goes wrong you can always just ruu back to gb. Just remember whenever you ruu always preform a factory reset in bootloader helps with data connectivity issues happening.

Hey guys. Little new to the TBolt crew here.
I've been rooting for a bit. Did an HTC Hero, a DROID Eric, an Incredible... Now I've got a TBolt sitting here that I just rooted about an hour ago. It was running 4G just fine both before and after the root, but after installing a CM7 ROM (SFK's to be precise) I haven't seen 4G pop up since. I've tried a couple other CM7 roms, but nothing seems to make a difference - it only runs on 3G.
I was thinking it might be a radio problem, but admittedly I'm pretty novice with this stuff. I just flash what sounds interesting, and if it's not as stable as I'd like I find something else to flash. Does anyone have any ideas what's wrong? And what I can download to fix it?
EDIT: After giving up and deciding to go back to my backup of "stock" that I'd just made... now it's failing to properly back up. This wonderful error about data being corrupted with the only button available being "I'm Feeling Lucky" and still no 4G, only 3G. Now I'm at a complete loss.
I have a Nexus sitting next to me clearly connected to 4G just fine, so I know it's not a network issue. What the heck is going on here?
I'm sure you have, but never know... have you checked your wireless network settings?
Settings--Wireless & Networks--Mobile Networks--Network Mode.
Make sure LTE/CDMA is selected.

most roms are built with a specific radio in mind i would try to flash one of the newer radios they work better drain less battery and are more compatible with rooted roms.
So I feel really dumb because I am S-off and rooted using Tranquility ICS Rom HBOOT 1.12.PRI 2.45_003 PRL 25006 Baseband 1.12.11.0809 but my cell signal just drops when I am making calls. Could I have damaged the radios somehow while getting to root and S-off? Things haven't been the same since I tried to use CM10. I put CM10 on just after I rooted and flashed I put CM10 on it and that is when I started to notice my radios would just drop. Almost as if they were rebooted. Then I takes me a long time to get a good connection back. Could flashing the wrong firmware for your radios damage them? Not sure if I did that or not but I may have.
I was happy with stock but I wanted to tether every once in a while and that is why I did it. I am horrible and a very bad phone guy.(said with a little chuckle even though it is true)
If you can, please lend me some advice.
Thank you in advance. I really should stop playing with my phones as I am not savy enough to not break them. However I love to tinker but I think I will stick with full sized computers as I know how to fix them.

Is this the wrong place to put this?

i believe if you flash the wrong firmware your device just wounldnt boot. you are on the latest radio.
might have a defective radio chip in your phone, but i dont know how to check that
You said you're running an AOSP Rom, right? Check this out : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=32126633&postcount=106

I think I am going completely back to stock and see if that has any issues. Maybe my radios aren't right so if I return to stock I will take it back to sprint and try to get it exchanged. thanks all

Okay so friday night I went with the stock rotted rom and Kaboom. My radios returned to normal. Not only that but after going with the custom roms I was having major battery issues(only 13 hours worth with limited use). I cleared the battery stats and charged it Friday into Saturday. I didn't need to recharge until tonight. 1day 8hrs 43mins with a good amount of use. I even used the wifi for about 2 hours at home installing all my apps that didn't get a proper titanium backup for some reason. Everything is back to normal. That is very strange because a lot of guys using those roms say they get similar if not better battery life. Could be me. Thanks guys for the info.
Andrew
Glad it worked for you. I've played with the AOSP roms, but I'm holding out til someone ports a Jelly Bean Sense Rom over. Til then, try Viper 2.3
Hey XDA,
I woke up today and noticed that all my calls (in/outgoing) are so shotty (choppy, studdering, that's the best way I can describe it) that it makes calls just impossible... Oh, and my signal is normal (between -89 dBm and -92 dBm... my normal signal at home)
Now, I have researched online to see if Sprint outages were going on in my area; they are not. Nothing has changed in my phone (software or hardware-wise) - I have not messed with anything at all. I literally woke up to this.
Also, I have not dropped, bumped, banged into anything, sprayed with a garden hose, or anything that would make me think "Ok, this could've been my fault..."
It _feels_ like it is my radio... but what could cause all these sudden issues with my calls? My radio was updated last year to the latest at the time (1.12.11.1210) and I have had FLAWLESS service. Never any issues, seriously.
Oh, I should note: If I call my voicemail over and over, about 1 out of 10 calls I will be able to hear the automated voice clearly; then if I hang up and immediately call it again, it becomes unintelligible.
So, wtf... Has anyone ever experienced this and knows how to remedy it? It isn't turning LTE off, tried that and does not change anything. Please help me, I need some ideas to look into... - zmag
It's possible Sprint is doing work in your area. Having said that, you're a couple of firmware versions behind. You didn't mention if you tried to update your profile and PRL. If all else fails, try ##72786# from the dialer and choose reset from the menu. If you continue to have issues after following the steps above, call Sprint and see what they can do for you.

Well, due to some odd quirk on my rom I'm using, I am unable to update my profile and PRL...
I am using my original shipped stock rom (rooted) 1.13.651.1 with the Beastmode kernel.
When I press on any of the 4 selections in the update menu, nothing opens (no app runs)
I was running MeanBean until I messed with the build.prop permissions and it caused a bootloop - I was unable to remedy it via TWRP, so I (unfortunately) had to restore a backup (I didn't have one of MeanBean)
Does anyone remember if I can update my profile and PRL via MeanBean? I can't remember if it works on that rom, or if I need to run a stock rom.
Also, should I try updating to the latest radio (PIMG175 or w/e it's called) via HBoot? (I have HBoot 1.12.0000 Lazy Panda) If so, can someone kindly post a link to the latest .zip (CaptainThrowback is whose .zip I used for my last radio update)
And what exactly will happen if I do the ##72786# reset? (Is this a radio reset, or a full blown reset similar to factory data?)
Thanks in advance - zmag

Just curious, have you checked out the newer stock ROMs? That's the OG stock version if I'm not mistaken...with the latest tools you can even S-off and root HTC's 4.3 releases.
Yes, you can update your profile and PRL with Mean Bean. As far as updating your firmware, click the top link in my sig. There is a section on firmware updates and also a link to Captain Throwback's firmware thread.

I now believe it was something on Sprint's end, because after some more testing, I noticed as soon as I drove away from my house I would get normal, clear service - but when I got towards my house it would go back to crap again...
Now I get normal service again (knock on wood) at home. Still don't know why my mom's Galaxy S2 worked fine the whole time, but w/e - I just hope this isn't a common occurance.
I plan on switching to Ting in July when my Sprint contract runs out. (Sprint towers used, but a pay as you go plan) Only thing is they charge full price for phones via Ting, but you can switch most Sprint phones to Ting. I'm paying way too much for unlimited talk text and data, I don't need it. Ting seems more reasonable. For 3 lines (mine and my parents) we did the math it should be about 50 bucks a month, so ya...
I will check out the newer stock roms, or go back to MeanBean. Thank you guys for your help, if this happens again or keeps occuring I'll at least know what to do! - zmag
