I cant turn my phone of

My Phone is stuck in a bootloop after installing the artic rom...its still looping and won't turn of.
I installed the thing where after you install a rom you boot into recovery but the rom skipped it even tho i installed the zip after i flashed the rom aswell..
I managed to get into AP Fastboot flash mode but i don't know how to flash my phone back to stock...can someone please help??
You can turn off the phone by pressing simultaneously
power and volume down (-) buttons about 5 secs.
Then yuo can think about what i can to do next ;-)

My phone is in boot loop right now and when I hit power and vol down, my phone with continually vibrate for about 5 seconds and then the screen goes out... but then it just boots up again
You can try push volume down button (and keep it pressed down)
at the same moment that screen goes out, maybe you can reach
AP Fastboot-mode in this way?
Well I can get to the menu for AP Fastboot
But im at work.. i dont have the file or RSDLight here at work.
But I can get to the recovery and it gives me the option for "factory reset" or "apply update from SDcard".
If I have a backup from bootstrap, can I use that file under the "apply update from SDcard" option?
EDIT: No you cant apply from SD (a recovery)
I think that yuo can't use backup from bootstrap via Motorolas recovery...
Maybe only way is install correct OFFICIAL Motorola ROM via AP fastboot.
http://sbf.droid-developers.org/
Here is also good RSD alternative for flashing:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=21575589&postcount=1
you close but it goes against what he just said. Once ur device powers.of press the volume keys then hold the power button ...it'll put u in recovery. You then need to scroll down twice I think to fast boot and press the up key to select....
You can only go down in this recovery. When you press up it selects. You will then need to follow a.vid on YouTube called how to restore Droid RAZR

enter recovery manually

ok I made a back up of the stock rom and did a complete wipe and flashed a rom and it wouldn`t even boot so I tired a few different button combinations to get back to recovery to do a restore, and i can get fastboot mode but tried to use the volume up and down to select recovery and I can`t , what sequence of buttons do you use to get you in to recovery ?:silly:

thanks, yeah I just figured it out, its weird that when the phone is completely shut off I do the volume up then press power button on, it takes me to fastboot, but if I keep holding volume up and release the power and push power button for the second time then it enters recovery every time, kind odd to me but it works
ok I was playing around again entering recovery manually and now I can`t everytime I hold volume up and power button and goes to fastboot, then I did the second press of the power goes right to fastboot again, is there something jack up with my phone?
hmm that kinda odd... what ROM are you trying to flash?
From bootloader screen use vol up twice then power, or vol dwn twice then power.

[Q] can't boot or boot into bootloader

my phone won't boot and is stuck on the "HTC quietly brilliant"...tried to reboot into bootloader but can't do that either. any suggestions? not sure what i did to brick my phone or why i can't get into the bootloader but any help would be appreciated...
Can you turn the phone off? If so, what happens when you press volume down + power? What ROM are you running, and what were you doing with the phone just prior to this starting?
The advice is free....the bandwidth, not so much

It's not bricked. Hold down power and the volume down button until your phone shuts off. Then release ONLY the power button. Keep holding the volume button until it gets into bootloader. then select fastboot. then select recovery. do a full wipe of cache, dalvik, factory reset and system. Then flash this again. it can take up to 5 mins the first time. Be patient.
thanks...

[Q] Stuck at white HTC screen; help ASAP

Hey guys. So, I've had my DNA unlocked, rooted, and had a ROM on it for a while. The SuperHatka ROM I believe it was. I updated to the newest version to update the entire phone with the new OTA update the other day. Tonight I had the bright idea to wipe my phone completely since it didn't do it the first time. Well, I erased literally everything. Now the phone is stuck on the white "HTC quietly brilliant" screen. I can't get it to power off, reboot, etc. It won't be recognized in ADB like it was previously. Can anyone give me step by step instructions on what to do? Please.

Press and hold the power button for approx 15 seconds. Your capacitive buttons should blink and eventually your screen will go black as its powered down. Continue to hold the power button and the vol down key and it should boot into bootloader, from there scroll to recovery via vol keys, press power and it'll boot into recovery. If its a newer recovery it should support adb sideload in which you can adb push a Rom to /sdcard. If not then while in fastboot usb mode you can fastboot flash recovery a newer version of twrp or cwm then adb push in recovery.

Like he said. Press buttons, boot into boot loader, recovery, then you do not need to side load. just do the adb push to your sdcard and flash. sideload is a different command.

I've been in that black hole several times, frozen for various reasons-usually of my own making. I would only add that the time it takes holding in the power button once the icons start flashing at the bottom of the phone varies GREATLY...from a few seconds to several episodes of trying it-bottom line is it will eventually do it. If you have backups you can wipe everything and restore one of them and you will be back up running.
Reviving a dead thread. I have the same issue but when I flash a recovery in fastboot and try to boot to the recovery is shows the recovery splash screen then restarts.

Boot into the bootloader put it in fastboot plug it into your pc. Open a command window where your fastboot and ADB files are and then type
fastboot erase cache
Hit enter
And then flash the recovery and you should be able to boot into it.

[Q]Newly unlocked bootloader, won't boot to recovery?

I just unlocked my bootloader and flashed CWMT recovery but whenever I try to boot into recovery the phone simply boots back into the factory Rom. I've tried turning off fastboot in the Rom settings but that didn't seem to help... Any ideas?
Edit: alright I can boot into recovery but it's under factory reset for some reason.adb Reboot recovery doesn't work.
Turn off fastboot. In settings.

Did you try to manually go into recovery?
- turn off phone
-press and hold volume down then press power button until the phone boots into bootloader
- use volume buttons to scroll down to recovery,
- tap power button to select recovery
and it should boot into your custom recovery

That's when it happens. I'll try manually booting into recovery, but it just ends up booting normally.

I've tried both restarting in bootloader and powering down and turning the phone back on in bootloader. Both times, from the bootloader menu, when I select recovery it goes the the 'htc' screen with 'entering recovery' at the top for about 7 seconds then goes black and boots normally.

when you select recovery and it goes to the white htc screen, at the very top does it say.. "entering recovery" ?
If not, you might try using fastboot to push a custom recovery to your phone again...
If it kicks you out of recovery as it boots into it, go into the bootloader, fastboot, and run 'fastboot erase cache' on the computer. Of course, ADB has to be setup first before running that command. I've had this happen to me a few times already, and 'fastboot erase cache' always made it work again.
