Ordered my Personal CellSpot Router - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S 5

Dialed 611 and ordered the free Personal CellSpot router. Looks like they are waiving the $25 deposit for now so get them while they're hot. I've seen posts elsewhere that they're waiving the deposit until 9/24, but I don't know if that's verified. I don't really need it but if it's free, it's for me. :laugh: They ship UPS ground so it'll be here in a week. Apparently, they don't have them in stores yet.

I went to the store today, and they have them. I wasn't able to pick it up, but they do have at the stores.

I will check the store on my way home tonight. Hopefully they have it and I will check on the waiver for the down payment.

Just did the same. At first they told me they won't be available to order until 9/24. I asked her if she was sure, because someone else mentioned they ordered it already. She put me on hold, checked again, and low and behold, found it and ordered it. No mention of $25 deposit.

Are you sure about the $25 deposit being waived? I was told by a CSR the deposit will go on to my next billing statement.

I specifically asked the guy about the deposit and he just said that the cost right now is zero.

You're correct! I just called T-Mobile to confirm the $25 deposit being waived, and they told me yes.

I just got off the phone and there is no $25 deposit between Sept 17 - the 24th . I would order now if you guys need one . Said i should recieve it by sept 29 via UPS ground.

Did the give you the order number right away? I call this morning and was told they will email me the order number but no email yet.

Yes and they said i could track it by #875# from my phone .. My order number is a 9 digit number . They said i will have it by september 29

I did, it shows "Unable to process...". So I call them back. It turn out the first rep I talked with this morning never complete the order. The 2nd rep has to finalize it. He told me for the trouble, he'll make sure it ship out today. My order status show "Pending ship" now.

So, after seeing this thread, I decided to bite the bullet and order my free router. Took all of 15 minutes to do and I'll have it by Monday. 100% free. No taxes, no upfront costs, no monthly costs, no shipping costs. However, if any of us break service with T-Mobile, they'll charge us $99 to keep it.

The rep I talked to never mentioned a $99 fee to keep after termination, nor does it say that in my online order, nor the text message I received. The T-Mobile TOS mentions fees for unreturned equipment, but does not obviously call out this device, and it's unclear that this is a "rented" or "temporary" device. For all I can tell by talking with the rep, I "ordered" it, and they didn't charge for it. It'll be an interesting conversation if that ever happens (though I'm entirely happy with T-Mo at this time).

It should show in the Alerts section of your My T-Moblie home page. It says "Order in progress" with the order number.

I ordered mine last night, will be here September 29th. No charge, no monthly fee, but must be returned if T-Mobile service is broken. :fingers-crossed:

AT&T preorder.. Note supposed to arrive on or before 17th.

So I preordered the Note on Feb 10th and I can't say im not super excited. However, here it is the 16th and my preorder still has not shipped. If its shipping FedEx 2-Day which is what AT&T usually uses, the math isn't adding up for me to receive the Note on the 17th.
Anyone know what's going on?

Preorders are shipped overnight. People need to calm down!
I have not received shipping info yet, but I did get a personal e-mail from a Premier employee who was awesome enough to reach out to me a couple of times throughout the pre-order process. He says that the phone has "dropped to the warehouse" and that everything looks alright. He said I should be receiving a tracking number, but the wording about when the phone actually ships was a little hazy.
I will be sure to post here if/when I receive another e-mail or update. Please do the same!

You can mention that you work for chase, UPS, dell, or some other big company but they might ask for an employee number or something.
I've heard that you can get away with it if you just tell them your email is [email protected] or something similar
Some companies get a sprint discount. If you have an email address with your company try it here:

adding a discount can be done at any time, but they will reset the clock on your contract to 20 months. It will not affect your upgrade eligibility though.

You can try and argue that with them and see if they will bring your contract date back to what it was.

In addition, you could call every few weeks and complain about service and they'll credit your account a few days.
I've heard that some people set an alarm every 2.5 weeks and they call and sprint will credit 1-2 days worth so their contract gets prorated every month.

yes... you will be back in contract or extending your contract back to the original 20 months.
You can try to argue it, but I don't think they will budge. But I'm not a CSR from sprint so who knows.
Call up sprint and tell them you get a discount from the company you just got hired at. They will ask you for the discount code, use Google to find the best discount

I'm aware I got a discount the same way before I started working for them but now we have to have you fill out a form and then either fax or email in a copy of proof or sprint will contact you and ask for it and if you don't..... No discount! I blame the iphone!
my local store asked me if i had triple A (insurance) which i had and I'm now getting 27%discount on a family plan 5 lines

wow, that does suck. I'm glad that didn't happen to me. I save $19.99/month. Even after the multi line change. I called & complained about changes, threatened to cancel. He said it's a difference of like $4/month, & I have like 5 months remaining so he will give me $50 credit if I stay, or he would cancel if I would like. I stayed cause that was more then the difference.

i used to work for the city of san diego, and sprint was the cities provider.. so we got 30% - havent worked for the city for a few years, but still do contract work here and there... so i get a few paystubs a year ... keeps me going @ 30percent
been with nextel since the mid 90s - to this day, still have the same account (just with 1 nextel line and 2 sprint lines)
not sure if its my job, or how long i been a customer or both... but i do love my 30%

Blame threads like this.
Discounts used to be easy through Sprint. Someone started a thread like this about a year ago I think, and was promoting that everyone try and get some discount that they weren't entitled to. That's (within one week) when Sprint started requiring proof of employment for most service discounts.
Really muffs it up for the rest of us that now have to jump through hoops for the discounts that we actually are entitled to.

Thats only worth it if you would have AAA regardless. But if the idea is to buy AAA to get the discount, it really isn't worth it. Discounts only apply to the base rate and not the total bill... likely only amounting to ~ 25.
It would be nice if the discount applied to the $10.00 data plan fee also

I think your rep might of been confused as were the ones i talked to. But if you do get it,which i think you wont on the 28, i hope you let us know !!!
Okay yes awesome that you got to pick shipping but that doesn't mean it will be processed and shipped by tuesday. Plenty of things could hang it up and make it come thursday by 1030 am but in all honesty i wish you the best and I hope you get it weds at 1030

Meh, he could get it before that. I have heard this before, but didn't think it was true. I guess the only way you can choose S&H options is if you pay outright for the phone. Plus even further proof, some people have gotten other phones before their release date in-store, but lol @ $15 + tax for one day early, though.
I know I probably will be phoneless come 10:30 on Wednesday, but making this post somehow makes me feel better

Likely because they don't work on Saturday or Sunday. I am guessing we will all see updates, if this is true, on our delivery confirmation as of tomorrow.

EDIT: But yeah, crazy dad you are right. This happened before with the iPhone 5. I think some people ordered this via VZW/Apple and they were refunded the dough after because there was no overnight shipping. AKA, we all get the phone on the same day as of the release date.
Just saying with the S3 some people got it a day early, but it wasn't due to overnight shipping

Hmm, my friend said he had the option to choose when he ordered his. I guess they might've changed something in the system, which is a good sign.
edit: looks like some other people are claiming that it will ship out from wal-mart on the 27th/be in stores on the 27th.

I just talked to a rep to see if i could change my ship date and he just told me that it wont ship before the 27th and will only have a devlivery date of the 29th.i tried to convince him of letting me get it on the 28th and says that they wont be available to the customer until the 29th.

Thanks for posting this. Sammobile reported it as well, but I think the link they had in their story went to the wrong item...or the promotion wasn't live yet. It would be nice if they offered the stand-up chargers as a BOGO also, but the flat models will do. I know enough people to find someone the free one will benefit. Sure, Ebay and Amazon offer fast chargers at a cheaper price, but the BOGO deal makes it worth while to get official Samsung. Again, thanks for posting a good link to the deal.

Same here. Mine is on back order as well. I may not get said item quickly but it's still a good deal.

No it does not but the Samsung page didn't have a button to order. It only had a button that said find a local or online retailer. Thanks captain obvious who didn't realize his smart remark isn't so obvious. If you aren't going to help why comment at all?
I called Samsung and they said the button was probably disabled because they are out. Nowhere does it say its out of stock though!
Apparently they are having issues. It was supposed to run through the 19th. I guess they bit off more than they can chew. Sorry for wasting your time.
Do these charge the phone faster than other Q chargers?
Just a word about being careful when dealing with Samsung.
I ordered the BOGO wireless charger deal that Samsung announced on the 16th of March within 15 minutes of the promotion going live. The same day, I received an Email from Samsung telling me both items (the wireless charger and the free one) were backordered.
Another week or so went by and I still had not received notification of shipment so I used Samsung's customer service page to Email them about it. The next day I received another Email telling me that my items were due to arrive at their facility with an ETA of 3/24/2016. On March 26 I received another Email from Samsung once again stating that my items had been backordered. I Emailed them back on the same day telling them to immediately cancel my order. They Emailed me back the next day the cancellation had been submitted.
Fast forward to today (March 29) and I get four more Emails from them. The first three were all sent at the exact same time (8:08PM my time). The first Email was a shipping confirmation (but for ONLY one charger, not the two I was supposed to get), the second Email was letting me know Samsung initiated a return on my request but if I would not be able to refuse the package to follow the directions below...(no directions were given). The third Email once again stated that a return has been initiated and did have further instructions. The instructions were basically just an RMA number and an address. NO return shipping label or anything!
A fourth Email arrived at 10:05PM, again with the same RMA number and address to send the package back to. I promptly Emailed them back telling them that I would not pay return shipping for their repeated mistakes and that I would stop payment on the credit card. I told them if they wanted anything back they would need to Email me a return label for shipping at their expense. It will be interesting to see what they respond back with.
They are idiots or crooks. Either way, beware.
I'm getting the same crap from them. I told them I wanted it cancelled; a day or two later I receive emails saying it's being shipped and that I'll have to ship it back. I've already ditched my S7 and went back to my Nexus 6P for now and now I have to deal with this. I'm attempting to get my money back right now. Way to go Samsung.....

Keep in mind folks, Verizon pre orders were supposedly set to arrive yesterday according to reports here. People were so happy they were getting their Note 8's 2 weeks early. Those users did get a delivery from Verizon but it was simply a case. My bet is no one gets theirs prior to the 13th-15th.

I HIGHLY doubt it is the phone so I would not get too excited. Perhaps is is a free case etc in preparation for the phone. According to my sources, no carriers even have their shipments in their warehouse yet. I hope I'm wrong....

It's the phone. Tracking number came from my phone order. It is 1.5 lbs. It is 2nd day air. My order said it would be the 5th.

Mine is sitting 5 miles away at the UPS facility. I already received my return kits for my current phone and the parcel at UPS weighs 1.5 pounds. I called and asked if I could pick it up ( there are actually 4 there for my family) and UPS advised that Sprint has a hold on it for no pickups or delivery until Tuesday 9/5.

I already posted my sources. If you do get the phone early, it is a mistake. Why would I trust you? Do you have some inside knowledge or are you just assuming it's the phone due to weight or IMEI?
It seems like there is a bit of hostility against me for posting my opinion. I'm giving you my personal experience with VZ pre orders and letting people know what 2 different people told me at VZW. I'm not calling anyone out but until the phone is in your hand, there are a lot of assumptions being made.
Apparently people are now bombarding VZW with calls about why their pre order has not shipped. It's obvious to me that not every Verizon pre-order was shipped so if you do get it early count yourself lucky but don't assume all preorders are shipping.
Well my tracking number is from my order specifically with IMEI and SIM # and the fact that it has been updated with my lease and new phone number I would say it would have to be the phone. I don't see a company updating my actual order with tracking if that order was not shipped.
yup 3 pounds ( i have two coming) and its now in Stockton where I live. soooooo close but so far. the tracking number is listed with the phones on sprints site.

Well this is not a VZ thread and I used to have VZ and they suck. Doesn't surprise me that VZ would do that but I am 100% sure that my phone will be here on 9/5. No hostility at all from me it just looks as though somebody jumped the gun in the VZ thread and just didn't make sure it was the phone that actually shipped.
Why would I get a case when I only ordered a phone and there isn't a free case promo, at least that I'm aware of. I'm with Verizon and I got a notification of shipment and they took the money out of my account which wasn't happening until shipment. Delivery date says 9/5. I agree with the rest of the posters as well as the posters in the other threads, your sources are most likely not giving you the right story.
