Go into Settings>About phone and tap on Build number for about 7 times.... Development settings and Performance should be unlocked..... Now come back and enter performance.... Select Processor and select the OnDemand governor and set the minimum CPU frequency to 300 and the maximum frequency to 1190 (leave it as such if it's already the same) and select set on boot.... This should fix it :good:..... Hit thanks if I helped...

1* Your must be rooted.
2* Must install any file explorer with root access. and Boot animation zip you want to replace. Copy it.
3* Then in your file explorer go to root, then system scroll down to media
4* In media you find bootanimation zip remove it. Then overwrite ( replace, copy ) it with stock or any other bbot animation.
5* Set permission to rw-r-r
6* exit from file explorer and reboot.
Pl keep in mind boot animation should have proper resolution i.e 540 X 960 for moto E to boot properly. Otherwise it directly boots skipping boot animation.
Hope this helps

I,ve tried may be 10 times including by installing various apps mentioned in this or other posts. Unfortunately it revert back to the default value after reboot. Some where in this forum some senior member has explained it in detail. I think it is in Cyanogen 11 ROM thread stared by Percy. And he is right.

Flash this [KERNEL] Furnace-1.0.4 for Moto E [AOSP/STOCK][9/23/2014] by savoca then install Trickster Mod.By doing so I successfully set min freq to 300 . Battery wise I found this kernel better. Just try it once.
Hope this helps you.

Yes. There is another method. For this you need File Explorer with root access & text editor.
Got root--) scroll down to sys--) device--) scroll down to system--) open cpu--)open cpu0--)cpufrq--) there you find 3 files * cpuinfo_cur_freq. *cpuinfo_max_freq. *cpuinfo_min_freq.
Open cpuifo_min_freq in text editor put desired value and save. Don't worry explorer creates automatic backup.
Similarly do with cpu1 . However to be on safer side make a back-up. But after setting this, screen becomes bit unresponsive. The main reason is scaling of freq is not supported in CM 11 ROMs. ( I think so. )
Even while taking this screen shot you can clearly see freq min set at 300 not at 1190MHz & current freq also at 300 MHz. But advise you not to set ( ? ).

THANKING is SPIRITUALITY, HELPING is DIVINITY.

@shivamg95,

[SCRIPT][INIT.D]Turn off key backligh

Hello, as You probably know yet, our phones have very bright key backlight, and there's no way to decrease it. When i was reading something in night, these light was burning my eyes, so i found script which turn it off.
How to use?
When on CM10.1/Avatar/PAC:
Use f.e. Root Explorer and move attached file into \system\etc\init.d
Then change proporties of that file to rwxr-xr-x
Now reboot device, key backlight'll be off.
When on rooted stock, You must use Script Manager to activate script and run it on boot. Just follow instructions above, but before reebot, just select script in smanager and set it root permissions and run on boot.
You can don't have init.d folder, just make one yourself in \system\etc directory.
Not sure it's right section, if not please mod to move it somewhere else.

Yes u can use any bootanimation which has boot sound already.... Open that zip.... And edit it according to need...easy way....
Hope this helps.
Do you maybe have a link to one ?
EDIT:
By the way,if i need to move some stuff (ex: the mp3 sound) to the system/media folder then i'm screwed because i can't move any file with root explorer to that folder : /
(Yes i have root and already tried to install an SD Card Xposed module, but it still doesnt work)
Use es explorer and enable root explorer and click on the button /option there u find options one of them is mount r/w click on it and set root or system to write mode... DONE..
Xperia z lollipop bootanimation has sound..search it...
If u not find ask me i will upload it later...

Fixing heating issue in ICSROM with script method by jeremywh7. Please help!

jeremywh7 has explained how to fix the issue with the ICSROM governor so that it runs with min 216Mhz and causes less heating - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=58093061&postcount=1051
Here's the entire post -

I have rebooted*, and its still working fine.
[*edit: forgot to update this post...a power off and cold boot does reset it. I've made an init.d script to fix it for now; will provide details later, as its now the wife's main phone.]
[...]
Better late than never, right? :-/ Here is the script I made as '/etc/init.d/01cpufreq' and set to chmod 755 (manually, using ES File Explorer, actually):
Code:
#!/system/bin/sh
#ramdisk cpu scaling min fix
chown root.root /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/scaling_min_freq
echo "216000" > /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/scaling_min_freq
I installed Universal Init.d (by Androguide.fr) to apply it at boot. I had to run the Test part w/ the tool set to Off, to enable SuperUser privileges. [Update: if you click a file to edit, it will also prompt for su, so that would be easier than running the test; K's July kernels don't support init.d obviously; I'm using kernel-2014_07_04_19_18_atrics.] After setting the tool On, and rebooting...voila, file permission fixed and min frequency 216 MHz.
Since I converted my old CM9-based Atrix to ICSROM (the reason I'm working on all this again), I recalled another mod, rain drop detect issue, for future reference:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...&postcount=117
Make sure to leave the extra character at the end the config line [ref: post 119].

So basically I have to save this in a file and set permissions for it on a root explorer? I'm a bit of a noon in this, so I'd really appreciate if you could please explain this procedure in a noob-friendly way. What exactly should I do and what should the permissions be.
Thanks!

Actually you hit the nail on the head after i pointed out what i did in my last post. For permissions, i find it easier to manually change them instead of the chmod thing that it was talking about. For permissions, 755 the same as*rwxr-xr-x
Sent from my ATRIX HD using XDA Free mobile app
Okay. I got so far as that. But what should I name the file and what extension should I use? Am I supposed to replace a system file? Or is this a separate file I have to create? I'm not clear what he means by universal init.d, is it a file? What should I do with it?
Dude, you're seriously overcomplicating this. You're making it way more difficult than it needs to be, both for yourself and for XDA.
The post you quoted contains literally all the information you need, including all the questions you've asked in here. Just read it again.

Which mod did u flash the first one or the second one ?
If u still have root. Then install ES file explorer from playstore and go to this path given below:-
/system/etc
From there send me the 'mixer paths.xml' (only if its there then send)
Also 'audio effects.conf'
So that I can see if any changes are there. Just dont do anything else in those folder just copy it to sd card and then send me.

I saw both 1 and 2 of that mod. In second one which one did u use the loud or normal.
And when I checked them i saw a lot of changes happened in your phone of audio files, more than 13 file edited and some new files.
I just edited one of your file. Try replacing it with the one I uploaded
1. Open es file explorer
2 go to left top and tap on settings
3. Scroll down till the tab 'tools'
4. In tools tap the 'Root Explorer'
5. Give permission with superuser ( it wont come if u already have given permission). After giving permission copy the file i gave and paste it in the path below.
6. Go to the path /system/etc
7. Paste the file I uploaded and 'overwrite' the file.
8. Keep holding on that file untill tick mark appears on it(which you pasted just now)
9. Go to properties of that file. ( can be on top right)
10. Tap on change permission
11. Tick all in the first column, second column only the first one should be ticked.
12. Tap OK
13. Exit everything and restart your phone.
14. Test your audio with headsets and without them.

Paste the file in the same path like i uploaded. Eg:- 'audioeffects.conf' i have pasted in 'etc'. So paste in the same folder of yours. Also change the permission of every thing like i told you before. Otherwise any damage can happen.
First column all, second column only first one to be ticked- permission
Permission for the folders you create - first column all, second column only first, third column all.
If the apps in your path /system/app are pasted in each folder then make folder for the apps you are pasting. Eg:- the app 'As' in the folder named 'As'
Reboot after process.

Fix any lag or fast charge problem on your Lenovo A6000 phone with this simple trick!

First of all i am not responsible for any damage to your device. Use this at your own risk.
I have recently noticed that our phone lags mainly when it overheats and some special features such as fast charge cease to work due to this thermal throttling.
So by deleting the file or by modifying the values of temperature (setting temperature limit to high value) will significanty increase the performance of the phone. So here are the steps on how to do it.
1. Open ES File Explorer
2. Turn on root explorer from the side menu.
3. Then goto Device--System--etc
4. Delete or edit the file thermal-engine.conf
5. Restart phone and voila!!
Now you will notice significant increase in the performance. :fingers-crossed:
i cant find this thermal.conf inside system/etc. im using MIUI8 rom

Do you even know what you're doing? Temperature limits are set for a reason. Don't edit it unless you exactly know what you're doing and certainly don't delete it

Yup
deleting these file is same as removing brake from your car while speeding your phone is likely won't cooldown when reached temp limit . VERY NOT RECOMMENDED
