Hi ALL! I'm new here. But I've read through the forums a lot of times and it only got me confused.
I have a short list that I want to do to my SGA. I always get lost in the tutorials that i follow. So please, if anyone can help me. Thank you.
Here what i want to do to my phone:
1. Upgrade to Gingerbread. DONE
2. Root. DONE
3. Install CWM
4. Install RAM scripts
5. Deodex
Please tell us what are the tutorials that you didn't understood.
Cheers
Hi, Zecanilis, thanks for replying.
First off, how do I install CWM? Or is it already part of rooting it?

If you are planning to update from a stock rom to DXKPD you can use Kies. Odin is also a option.
I prefer you too root first before installing CWM? Much less work

[q] rooting has never been this hard to me :(

Greetings guys...
Firstly... Am no new to this thing... The reason am posting this question is that with so many ways to ROOT the SGS-2, am really hardbricked in my head
Please pardon me if this is something i shouldn't be asking here...
Alright now...

Relax pal, its damn simple:
As you said, you also want CWM, so your best bet is to flash an already rooted with permanent cwm kernel,a very good contestant of this is Siyah kernel.
Just download it (www.gokhanmoral.com), flash it through odin and you will instantly gain cwm+root.
Let me know if you encounter any further issues

[Q] ODIN Question

Hello all. I flashed beans official 4.3 and I'm having some issues with philz. My question is, since I did not accept any OTA and just used beans 4.3, can I ODIN back to 4.1.2? I also used ODIN to flash the new radios ect.... Thanks in advance to everyone who are on these forums.
yeah u can, but u will lose root. it'll put back to 100% stock.
Thank you very much! I can just run casual and re-root at that point correct? Again I truly appreciate the help.

[Q] Samsung Galaxy S3 Root

I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 with version 4.3 jelly bean and I want to know if this method is legit:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7A5rS4RU-os
I want to root my phone to unlock the sim without paying if its possible, so if anyone knows how can i do it, please post some tutorials that might help me.
Sorry if im repeating threads but i was afraid of following the wrong thread and mess up my phone.
Thanks.
Pay for an unlock code, the free methods don't work anymore.

Can you recommend me any website or app to unlock for the less cost? If its possible i would prefere without rooting.

Thanks but it looks like i need to root my phone first, right? If so can you give me a tutorial?
Thanks.
Rooting is easy you just have to flash CF-AutoRoot into the device using Odin. There are plenty of Tutorials online regarding this.
And as @boomboomer said the free methods don't work so don't rely on them.
