It's not that my phone is draining too fast but when I look at the Best Battery Stats, bluetooth is also consuming my battery even when not in use. I tried freezing the app but it's still there. So since I rarely use bluetooth, what I did is download the Disable Service app and disable all services used by bluetooth. After that no battery consumption is done by the bluetooth anymore.
help
my bluetooth doesn't work ((((
are you using stock rom?

Hi guys! This is my first post here. Also i'm not native english speaker
Ok, right now i own a Galaxy Player YP-G1, rooted it with SuperOneClick like a week ago looking for a way to make battery last for longer time. Actually i've got good results after installing SetCPU and doing some reseach about how to config it.
However i still have a problem related to the GPS radio. It keeps turning on even if i disable it in the status bar and in the device's configuration menu. I've realized this GPS thing drains battery toooooo much and haven't found a way to force it to stay off. Always turns on by itself whatever i do.
Tried to disable autorun on all apps that used GPS localization with Gemini App Manager, still turns on...
I'd like to know if there's a rooted way to keep tgis guy off. Yesterday it turned on in the morning and even having used the music player for less than an hour the battery died extremely fast! and another days that it has stayed off battery has lasted until late night. It has to the the GPS.
Please guys help me, i've had univ courses of java and matlab so i have some idea of what i do when programing, so if it's necesary to write some lines i think i could handle it, maybe. Even better, if there's an app out there that fixes me this issue it would be even better.
Thanks !!!!
Up?
As per my knowledge, battery doesnt drain if you turn on gps and leave it like that forever. Battery drains are observed only when any app like google maps or apps like facebook use gps to set location. It might be your misconception about battery drain while gps turned on.
I would like to give an advice to use pdroid for custom roms. Pdroid is an app that enables you to change permissions of installed app so that you can disable any app to access gps location. This saves hell of battery.
Sent from Hell!!
Well I found an app that so far has kept GPS off since i installed it: GPS Toggle Widget (root)
(can't post the link for being noob )
I'll be updating if it really works in a few days
BTW thanks .xxx. !!!

There are quite a few threads on this already including what I wrote (pasted below).
<<<<
I had two types of standby battery drain - mobile data and wifi. I have fixed both of them through lots of trial and error. From my testing and looking on XDA at similar experiences of people on other phones, these are bugs in Android rather than anything Elephone can fix through updates (I'm on the latest 20160419 update).
I fixed the mobile data problem by creating Tasker profiles to keep the phone on 2G whilst it's connected to wifi. I can't post links yet but a search on XDA/Google will find you these profiles. Maintaining a 4G connection is unnecessary whilst on wifi, besides, some people have problems receiving calls on this phone whilst on 4G. If the phone is not connected to wifi (rare in London because it's everywhere even on public transport) 4G comes on. Best of both worlds.
The wifi drain solution sounds counterintuitive but it is simply to set it to 'always on'. With both of these measures, my standby drain has been 1% overnight for the last two nights and roughly 0.25%/hour during the day. Standby drain on 4G whilst moving around London with location on at least quadruples battery drain to around 1-2%/hour.
Some of my other settings will have an impact too. I find the auto-brightness calibration of the P9000 poor, so adjust brightness manually (which also saves battery life). NFC, bluetooth, etc. I only turn on when needed. I use Greenify and have all apps Greenified except Tasker, Textra, and Hangouts. I haven't Greenified any system apps except Google Maps. Location is always on but mostly device only (again counterintuitive, you'd expect it to be 'battery saving') unless I am moving around in which case I have a Tasker profile to automatically switch it to 'high accuracy'.
I tried to get Xposed working so that I could use Amplify too (see my other post) but that didn't work. Since I'm very happy with battery life now that's not that important anymore though it would be nice for the further tweaks it makes possible.
There are too many other variables to list and everybody's phone is set up differently. However, hopefully using some of the main big gains I've listed above you can fix your wifi drain specifically and improve standby drain generally.
Well, it's somewhat problably what keeps the phone awake, this occurs after factory reset, i already did the Tricks you've listed and on screen Features and so on are all off, there are no Apps who should keep the phone awake Cause it's happening Straight after factory reset so there are no other Apps..

Finger print sensor or DT2W for sure. Disable them
On the latest ROMs it is the finger print sensor. Turn it off or go back to 20160810
Is there any fix available to disable the battery drain due to mobile radio active data bug in marshmalllow stock oxygen os rom?
There is no fix for that bug. As soon as you turn cellular data on, "Android OS" will eat all your battery juice
I was forced to rollback to lollipop. It is still there, but much less aggressive.
I'm interested on it too... I have tested every fix I have found and it is still present even in Nougat.
If Google doesn't fix it, don't think anyone can do it, and seems that Google has no interest in do it ðŸ¤
Not just Android OS, Google Play Services, WhatsApp, and many other Apps make the radio mobile active. No matter if you use a Wakelock Blocker or Greenify, the drain is there.
And the worst is that Google has no interest in fix it, don't know the reason...
I'm really rating buy a non Android phone when I finish with my OPX...
I really love to play with Android devices, that bug makes me hate from android. Battery is longer with wifi 6 hours SOT. When mobile data active SOT max 3.5 - 4 hours. I will throw it from window.
Hi guys, this is not the thread where you'll find fancy kernel tweaks to improve battery. I'll share a few little things I personally follow that considerably improved battery life for me. You don't even need root
If you use any other battery saving placebo like greenify or wakelock blocker, then you're on your own. I don't recommend these
Follow each of these steps -
1. Turn OFF pocket detection, screensaver and ambient display.
(AD is upto your preference, doesn't drain battery much)
2. Set location to device only mode.
(DE mode uses GPS satellites and gives enough accuracy, high accuracy mode keeps bluetooth and wifi scanning on, draining battery)
3. Turn location permission off for google app.
(drains alot of battery)
If possible disable location for every app except maps and google play services.
(tracks your device when it's lost)
4. Go to location settings, scanning and check whether bluetooth and wifi scanning are off, if not, turn them off.
5. Go to battery, performance and turn off automatic optimization.
6. Most important step, reboot your phone after doing all this.
That's it guys, try this and report Suggestions are welcome
Good Tips.
Very nice

I have done all these except 6 point (once per day). Plus I have installed greenify. But still battery drain in most of the ROMs. Even if I won't use my phone, the battery is draining fast. I have turned location off (always)

Before greenify, it was like 5% drain per 10 minutes even if I won't use phone

Just try that bud
actually the thing is that kernel is not proper for any ROMs for which there is a battery drain...
changing kernels will be battery saving because of CPU tweaks running always in the background even if the device's screen is off...
use greenify in magisk for more if you dont want to tweak with your kernel...
do this and tell if your battery drain is solved... also follow these steps above.. they are mandatory as well...
it doesnot work well for resurrection remix ROMs... i have tried... maybe fixed by change in kernel tweaks...
For some weird reason my device doesnt go deep sleep anymore. The battery graph use to to be flat but now therea a slight steep when i am asleep. I still do my usual habit of turn of wifi, turn off location, turn of sync, turn off scanning for bluetooth and wifi, turn off locatiom history. I am on stuart's los 14.1. this started to happen two days ago. You know the best app to troubleshoot?screen and lineageos system and android is on top of battery stats when checking after waking up overnight.i have no addon or other tweaks. Not even greenify because battery graph overnight is flat before.

Where I can see you're doing wrong is turning things on and off. The steps mentioned in thread do not break a single thing. Keep location as device only mode forever (no on off required).
Just follow those steps for atleast one cycle and report

Ill try. Ive been doing this for a long time since teammex releases builds. And since the first build of stuart got no problem up to the second build.by the way i am.only turning on location once in awhile if i need navigation. Only wifi and data connection is frequently turned off and on. The rest is off 90% of the time

Battery drain issue
Any one having a battery drain problem ........Go to magisk( if not installed plz find the tread and do it)....Then download Enable Doze ..... Optimize Google play services and Google app and see if it is fixed......Worked for me
Very nice practical advice. However, greenify is not a fancy placebo. Together with Leandroid, and only following no.1 and 4 of your guide, battery almost doesnt drain at all on my snapdragon Xiaomi when idle. For my MTk xiaomis, I have to flash the drain fix in addition to get the same results as the snapdragon variants.
Anyway, good advise.
I tested this with different watches and different apps and the result is always the same - there are almost constant Bluetooth wakelocks (BetterBatteryStats reports over 50%) and hence battery drain - but only when the watches are NOT connected. When the watches are connected - everything is fine!
I am running rooted Android 10 and tried to manually put the smartwatch apps in the Sleeping apps and Deep sleeping apps (Device care > Battery > App power management) but the result was absolutely the same. Only when I uninstall the apps, the Bluetooth wakelocks and battery drain stop.
This is driving me mad because I have to keep the watched turned on at all times, because otherwise will face battery drain. Has anyone had the same problem? Any idea of how to solve it will be much appreciated.
Can you not simply set it to go to sleep when not in use? (Through >device manager >battery)
I know it's possible because I had the same problem with my girls phone a while back, just can't remember how exactly I fixed it, but it turned out to be pretty simple...
Thank you but I did this as I have described and it desn't help.
