P760 (stock ICS, unrooted, bootloader locked) suddenly died one day, did not react to anything, no recovery mode possible, so can't do upgrade recovery through LG software.
When connecting via USB, it showed the OMAP4430 device. I followed some guides and managed to install the correct drivers and it appears that I can now use fastboot.
Question is, what can I do with it now?

After attepmting to root, I ended up with a "Security Error" problem. I ended up using fastboot to flash the uboot and xloader. And now since then the phone won't do anything at all. I can enter fastboot, it will even show on the screen when it enters fastboot. But I can no longer enter S/W mode, and the phone won't turn on Using the power buttons or any combinations of buttons. It just shows a blank screen if I try turning it on by holding power. I can't adb into it, and the LG Support Tool can't find the phone. How can I get S/W back at least so I can flash it or something?
It's a p769 and was previously running JB
Which x & u did you flash?
I prefer to do things manually, another thing, who's fastboot did you use? If you used Lelus select option #1 and copy the files p1ics769.bin & p2ics769.bin (found in the "xu" folder) into the "yours" folder.
When you have the inverted fastboot on your phone, type the following
fastboot devices (to check if your are connected)
fastboot flash x-loader p1ics769.bin
fastboot flash u-boot p2ics769.bin
After you do this, take out your battery and hold vol up and enter the usb cable into the pc & phone & put the battery back. If that doesn't work, enter battery, hold vol up and enter usb cable, keep trying different usb ports on your pc.

Flashing the u-boot and x-loader worked perfectly. Put me back at where I was originally which was the "Security Error". Then I just went back into S/W mode, and used the KDZ flash and everything works now! Thank you so much.
Just for those who have trouble, if you have the p769 with JB, and you run into "Security Error" flash the x-loader and u-boot to match ICS, then the LG tool will find your phone. Then you can just flash the JB KDZ

HI there I am trying to flash KDZ using offline KDZ method.
I can enter into S/W mode
But it LG software does not detects phone.
It was happening me to previously too. but if we turn on USB debugging when phone was On. It was working.
But the thing is now that I am stuck into boot loop.
And in S/W mode LG tool doesnot detect phone (but I can my phone connected in Device manager)
So LG tool stops at 14%.
HELP ME OUT PLEASE.
I can get into cwm but everything i flash just leads me to a screen with the lg logo. Therefore, I'm trying to fast boot my phone and recover my phone but so far I've only been able to get to s/w upgrade mode and recovery stops at 15% because my computer sense that the phone isn't connected. I've tried running the recovery software in diag mode but it couldn't get past 15%. Can someone please help me?

Download LG mobile support (B2CAppSetup.exe) and select recover your phone. Your phone must be in S/W update mode and you must remove/comment LG server line in hosts file (for offline flash)
Try to use Lelus fast boot to flash ICS u-boot & x-loader (according to your phone model). And try to offline flash again. JB firmware does not work with offline flash.

I earlier had cyanogen mode installed in my lg l9 P765. I also had clockwork mode recovery installed for doing the same. Recently i saw a post to flash android lolipop to my phone by artas in http://artas182x.tk/android-projects/android-5-0-lg-optimus-l9-aosp/. I installed TWRP . But since i couldnt proceed to enter TWRP recovery, i just tried using `reboot recovery` via terminal. This got my phone bricked as i cannot access my device using ADB or Fastboot. All i see when restarting is the LG logo. And all i can access is the software upgrade mode. Since i had came across such a situation earlier and overcame it using the method to flash new rom offline, i followed the guide given in forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2085344 by @cmahendra. But i always got the process stopping at 15% telling that the phone and usb arent connected. I couldnt download any of the roms listed in the same page as the links seems broken. Is there a possible way to get out of this issue?

Check you have correctly installed the drivers of L9 and using the "LG Flash Tool" ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2797190 ) Install your KDZ... if it shows any errors during the process, allowed to continue in the background, do not close the error window.

I'm so stupid. I wanted to install cm12.1. So I rooted phone, unlocked BL. Then, I had first problem - when executing adb oem-unlock BL has unlocked and phone go to fastboot. But my comp couldn't recognize it (heard plugging in and out sound repeatedly). And here comes my "stupidity". I installed flashify and flashed CWM by it, got to CWM, installed cm12.1 zip. Of course wiped all data. Because I didn't flashed boot.img cm12.1 was freezing on fist setting up screen (nothing was working, just power button - pushing 10s turned off phone).
I wanted to flash boot.img by fastboot. But I still had problems with drivers(omap4boot didn't work). So I tried to recovery system by LG Mobile Support Tool. Everything got fine, but then phone stuck on the LG logo.
S/W Uprgade mode works of course, but I can't get to recovery now.
I'm using Windows 8.1
Any ideas?

Ok, so I tried to install omap again. I did it, but the phone is still repeatedly conecting and disconnecting and in device manager I cought omap4430 driver whith waring mark for a while. Any ideas now?
Is it the non-animated LG logo?

Anyway, I have finally solved this problem by installing new system using Bride's solution with full wipe.

I have bricked my LG p970 phone. It does not boot neither does it enter S/W upgrade mode (Up Vol + usb connection).
Below are the things I did which bricked the phone:
1. Flashed the phone using custom recovery, which caused the phone to boot with security error.
2. Flashed using V10 firmware and smartflash tools. Android 2.2.2 was installed on the phone and it worked perfectly.
3. I wanted Android 4.0 so I again flashed the phone with V30 firmware using smartflash tools.
4. "Download Completed" was displayed on the smartflash tool.
5. I disconnected the USB cable and since then the phone does not boot. Does not even enter S/W upgrade mode.
Can anyone help please?
