Ok question which i'm sure this is more of a easier said then done but here it goes!
Is it possible to make a xposed framework plugin that allow SBS cloning of your android phone's screen?
i'm thinking something similar to how xhalo floating window works but it runs, basically everything in sbs not just a window so we could in effect run out phones launchers an such wihtout using a custom SBS launcher.
This should let us also run some games in a compatibility mode and run most apps in this manor.
Would have to use a bluetooth input device like mice an keyboard to interact with our phone when its in a vr dock but just a idea/question to shoot out there!

Thanks been giving it a run through an sofar so good. Like stated b XDJMAX google native sbs android an join the beta an help the dev find what is an not working. works like a champ on my nexus 5 for hells tried it on my note 8 and nothing happened.
No worries, I can't get it running on either my S3 or S5.... i think my the S3 is too old but my S5 is too new ...
Careful when updating your rom, some people are reporting it breaks the SBS app.

im using a note 3 (stock rom) and native sbs android beta but everytime i hit load on boot and reboot, nothing happens, and when i hit always load on boot it softbricks my phone...is there something km missing or something i can try to get it to work?

It's not a game that I've ever tried, but do you have the original game files as mentioned above?
Yes I got the original game files, but I'm stuck at blank screen.

i had this working both with the downloaded demo files as well as the original files on my galaxy tab 10.1
After some updates the beginning of the month I'm also now only getting the black screen.
After some googling, it seems that this is some display problem with sdl on this build. You can actually hear the music going with the black screen. Perhaps trying an older version, compiling our own version or.contacting the developer is our only options. I'd very much like this to work again.

VCMI for HOMM3 kept crashing on me
I got a black screen on my Asus Transformer.
I can hear the sound and if I manage to go blindly through the interface I can start a new game (I hear the grass or sea sound) but I cannot see anything, just black screen.
The game works fine on my HTC Desire HD. The VCMI doesn't work neither on the DHD nor the AT.
I wrote the author an email about the problem I had, hope he reads it soon!

actually update wouldnt resolve it... instagram use OpenGL 2.2 and Galaxy Y has OpenGL 1.1

Well, samsung sure messed up, giving our model an outdated openGL plugin.
I haven't a clue about how to port, or update the openGL plugin version on a phone, but could someone from the developer section care to enlighten us? As in, is someone genius enough to attempt to update our openGL to 2.2, from 1.1, or is it impossible?
I don't know if chainfire3d would be able to work with it, I'm not sure :-(
What worries me, is even in the chainfire3d thread, it states your device should have openGL 2.0 for it to work. And that IS confusing, as I use it successfully, to make gta 3 ten year anniversary game work , along with others.
So if someone is reading this from developer section, who makes custom roms, or knows how to update the openGL.so driver, then please enlighten us.
Why oh why though, did instagram have to choose 2.2?
Why not create their app, using simpler filter effect methods, like how picplz, etc use?
Anyways, hope someone with some brains knows the score LOL.

And just for the record - I like or would like to use instagram for android more for the Social network elements, more than the actual filters, applied to photos. I know there are other applications that do it better, but it's just the instagram buzz - their service, when you use the new app, as a glorified photo viewer, seems to me like they have pretty much their own Social network in the app, how working follow users on instagram, similar to how you follow people on twitter.
So unless instagram use some backyard compatible openGL, or incorporated the 2.2 plugin in the app, then were screwed. Hell would freeze before I admit defeat and buy that phone beginning with "a" that is a dirty word here lolz
So I hope someone from dev section can sensibly help, or suggest what could be done.
Can chainfire3d be used, to update a plugin to make instagram think it's running 2.2, or something?
I really don't know LOL. So hopefully someone who does know will see this and reply ;-)

According to this thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1512749) sgy's GPU is OpenGL ES 2.0 and according to Instagram support (http://help.instagram.com/customer/portal/articles/168158-supported-os-devices) it will run on any camera phone with Android 2.2 or above with support for OpenGL ES 2.
I don't see why it doesn't work on sgy.

According to bechmark app Quadrant Standard this phone is equipped with OpenGL ES 2.0. I think that Instgram could have troubles with QVGA resolution.

I don't think so. My friend has Galaxy Mini (Pop/Tass) and it works fine.

Google is your friend. Search it. That's what I did, and it works (off topic)
It's chainfire3d that needs openGL, AND it's gta 3 that needs just plugins you can install in chainfire3d, to get it to work. The actual plugins aren't the webGL part.

Hmmm, it's working on galaxy mini? Has that got ldpi, QVGA screen too?
I've seen @instagramhelp on twitter tell someone that our device only had 1.1 openGL, but clearly they don't know $#&t!
Well, I don't know if galaxy g5 is similar to mini, but I will try on that phone, as it's got cm7 (psyke's madrom port) on it.
If you look at the help, @instagramhelp are giving on twitter too, you'll want to scream at them lol, they're lliterally copy and pasting a generic answer to anyone who has a android device, which shows you something ;-)
Anyways i'll try my other phone, and just keep an eye open for it here and in play store

And I do doubt if they can answer anything about the problems. I tweeted to them last night, still waiting for reply.
our device had 2.0 from the number version on build.prop says 131072 since 65537 is 1.1
what's causing it to work is may because of our phone's GPU..

They mention the black squares issue on their know issues page, and trying to fix it, but they only mention galaxy s 2, not our galaxy y.
But who knows, perhaps it might work then, but I really don't know.
All I know is that I was looking forward to getting instagram for android for months.
I wish they'd of just done the filter technology more android friendly, like how camera 360, or picplz is :-(

I can suggest Lightbox, it has an advanced camera and it's community oriented just like Instagram. But I think we're going a little bit off topic.
But there's really something that makes Instagram different from other apps. Let me just go OT for a while: back then I keep on using Pixlr-o-matic + CameraZoom FX, then share to Facebook. Nothing fancy though. Not until this app was released. Took a pic, and shared, then a different feeling came out of me. Perhaps since I think that having it's own app + personal site to view the photo/s makes the big difference.
I'm running stock and can't seem to be able to connect this controller. It says " PAIRED BUT NOT CONNECTED". I have two of them and neither one of them want to connect. Could this be a tablet issue or controller issues?

This could be related to your Android version. I know Android 4.0 ICS added some additional bluetooth support. If you can test it on an Android 2.x phone and it works then this is evidently not the problem.
You can always try Hive ROM -- shameless plug I know. I updated some configuration scripts as well as an APK which might have broadened support.

i rooted my tablet waaaaaaaaaaaaay back and installed what was the only rom available "DOOMLORD",started to get alot of reboots. so just recently i decided to unroot and go back to stock since the HTC JETSTREAM FORUM was a ghost town. A week after that you came out with BEEHIVE, i was kicking myself in the @$$. i want to give your rom a try but seriously i think i forgot what to do to get this thing rooted again

You can take a refresher course by watching this video. There are actualy three videos in the zero-to-hero series -- and it sounds like you might only need perform what is in the final one.
Ok, so I've seen that some users have been able to connect this controller to devices like the Nexus 5, so I'm wondering if it's possible on the N9?

However, the app it recommends (USB/BT JoystickCenter Free) using hasn't worked for me so far. I get to the step where I enable the touchscreen driver, and I get a message that says "Can not get access to '/dev/uinput'. Please install a Custom ROM with root rights."
I'm still at stock on this tablet, but it is rooted. Super SU is installed and working well with all other root apps.
I checked Super SU, the JoystickCenter has been granted superuser permissions in it.
Anyone have any advice on what to do? Anyone get a controller working with it?
I googled the issue and found out that some devices need a special custom kernel to enable this. Are any of the existing custom kernels set up for controller support?
I'd love to pull this off, because I just got KOTOR for Android and would love to use a controller with it.

Flashing a custom kernel might help. I guess you need a kernel that provides the /dev/uinput device.
"uinput is a linux kernel module that allows to handle the input subsystem from user land. It can be used to create and to handle input devices from an application. "
I've got the same problem on my Oneplus One, the controller is recognized but I can't switch on the J>T option wich is vital to make the controller work...
Anyone has a solution ?

On the YouTube vid you linked, someone posted in the comments that setting SELinux to Permissive helped him out.
I was gonna try this out, but the app has been pulled from the store. If it gets reinstated, I'll try it with the custom Rom I'm running (Dirty Unicorns 9.2 test build, LP5.1)

Hey, can one of you guys post the apk for the free version of the app. The app is no longer available on the PlayStore, and the developer doesn't have an XDA page. A Google search only brings up suspicious warez sites.

I used Aptoide to download that app, you can find every apps that are no longer available on the playstore using aptoide market.

Mizuu is an app which will gather video files on your device and create your movie & tv show collection, then sync with trakt.tv.
Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions for alternative apps that can do the same thing? I think they're called "scrapers" but I really am not sure.

So a few months have passed now, and Mizuu is officially retired. I haven't been able to find a worthy replacement, any suggestions?

Yes, unfortunately Mizuu has been progressively deteriorating without the support of the developer. I believe he made the code available for anyone else to continue working on, but I haven't read anything else about that.
There is hope though, the Mizuu developer has started a new project, similar to Mizuu, called Jolly. Check out the blog post on the Mizuu website for more information. No updates in a while though...

TV shows still working fine for me. I use anything below 2.7.1.3 which it support sdcard.

Old thread but found an alternative that looks just like Mizuu. Search for Mozee or com_stumi_mozee_1.1.4_10_31_2018.apk, and Nova Video Player (Achros fork) seems to work for the most part. Also found this comment elsewhere:
I'm still using Mizuu can't access sd card in it the since marshmallow. Workaround: install older version of the app, add sources and then update to latest version SD no crashes, no issuses on oreo.
