I am having a problem and can't tell if it is hardware or software based.
I have the Seidio desktop charging cradle and the Sprint-store car/auto docking station. The Seidio cradle is powered by the Seidio cable. The Sprint auto dock is powered by an aftermarket cable.
My problem is that my phone doesn't charge in either dock. The 'charging' light comes on and the battery widget shows 'charging', however the battery charge level DECREASES over an hour, not increases.
I removed the phone from the Seidio cradle and plugged the cable directly into the phone: the phone charges. I tried that with the car no-name version and it was hit or miss. SO, the car issue may be the charging cable. I'll get a new one tomorrow and try it out.
However, it dawned on me that this problem just began sometime last week. And that seemed to be when, approximately, the Sprint OTA update was installed.
So, is there any chance the OTA update messed with the docking mode program, so that the phone doesn't actually charge when in docking mode, even if the lights are all on?
Thanks.
I have broken the plug - where the cable plugs in, so I need a new charger asap, preferably from a UK store rather than online, otherwise I will be out of charge by the end of the weekend, anyone know anywhere that sells them ?
+1, in the same boat!
Unfortunately, swearing lots at my charger did not bring it back to life.
Regards
I have yet to find any electrical stores that stock them.
I got a spare from the Asus Uk Online store.
PS: You've only broken the plug?
Use a usb port whilst the screen is off. It's slower but will charge.
Loads of shops sell a Plug with USB slots as well.
Unfortunately they won't output the powe the same way the ASUS one does, but they'll do similar to USB charging (i think)
Staples sell the official charger, cover, screen protector and dock
Charger is 29.99

Hi, first Sony smartphone, long overdue. Anyways, is the magnetic charger on the side the only way to charge it? does it use standard microUSB?
also, international ZU owners, can anyone confirm if this comes with a 2 pronged US adapter? ( I'm betting against it).
I seen an unboxing that came with a dock, is that the "big-box" Taiwan one only?
Any car chargers showing up yet??
From what i understand (i dont own one) there is also a regular MicroUSB port hidden under a waterproof flap.

So far it seems that the magnetic charging cum dock is available in Taiwan boxes. Mine is a Hong Kong set and it doesn't come with it. I don't think Malaysian sets have it too.
There's of course a standard microUSB charging dock. It's located at the top left and hidden under a flap.
All the z ultra accessories need wait until next month. because this device just launched on 5 August at low yatt plaza. Form the Sony staff information the dock maybe can get after hari raya but the sbh52 bluetooh headset no ideal yet..... The dock not expensive I think around Rm199-229 the sbh52 around Rm259-299 maybe higher . The price info come from internet.

Ah yes, the Sony cum dock
It uses a standard micro usb slot and charger. Mine did not come with a US charger but the vendor gave me a US conversion adapter. I just use my old Samsung charger I used on my S4 and it works fine.
Any good quality micro usb charger of > 1.5A @ 5V will work fine. I use a Samsung charger rated at 2A
Hi,
I bought a quick circle case to go with my f400k. The case came directly from Korea and the pins look like they match up.
I am trying to charge with this cheap charger:
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/28136049...eName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649
The charger has a blue light which switches on when I place the G3 on it but the G3 doesn't charge.
Does this sound like a fault with the case / charger or phone? I am running Sphinx 1.0 if software can make a difference.
I don't have any other QI devices or charges so can't really test.
Thanks
Are you plugging it into a USB port or a wall charger? I had one really cheap qi charger that wouldn't charge very well in a USB hub, if at all. But works ok(not great) when plugged in wall.
I have tried both. Out of interest did your cheap charger have a LED and if so did it only come on when the phone was actually charging?
No it has a light on all the time, and changes when charging.
I got an OEM Qi backplate and charging base for Xmas and was super excited to use it. I haven't had wireless charging since my Palm Pre and have sorely missed it. Get everything laid out and ready to go, drop my phone, and it states it is charging and the pad confirms power is flowing. Come back on hour later; not only did it not charge, it ran my battery down faster than it would if it sat idle. So I try it with the LG OEM charger and cable. Once again, no dice, but at least it didn't run it down faster than at idle.
For grins, I found a friend who has a stock VS985, and tried the same exact charger and cable with my backplate. Of course it works. I searched high and low, far and wide on Google to no avail on an answer why CM11 fails to charge wirelessly.
Here's what I've got:
- VS985 running CM11 nightly 20141225.
- Anker Wireless Qi Base.
- LG OEM Qi backplate, charger and cable.
Any ideas what I can do to resolve this? TIA.
