bootloader unlock mediatek - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

how to unlock my reconnect 4701 bootloader linux 3.4.5 kernel ,mtk6582 chipset,, thanks in advance... fastboot oem unlock not working all drivers installed on windows thanks in advance ......????:crying::cyclops:

i'm also looking for a way to this.
i use a typical mediatek smartphone called ColorsX46 that runs KitKat4.4.2,
i also need to unlock the bootloader to flash a custom recovery and rom but can'y do it,
i've tried every possible ways but still isn't working.

Did you guys try the nexus way?
Enable usb debugging
Connect phone to computer with adb
On the computer type "adb reboot bootloader", wait for reboot
On computer type "fastboot oem unlock"
Check phone for confirmation
Reboot if necessary
This may do a factory reset, so back up your user data before doing this.

Fastboot Oem unlock problem

I have just picked up an LG V10 which is running the latest T-Mobile firmware. I have been trying to unlock the boot loader for a while now with no luck. I have tried installing numerous drivers and the android sdk with no real luck. I am running Windows 10, and when I try and adb works fine, and let's me reboot to the bootloader but fastboot refused to work. It just does not detect the device in fastboot mode, and if I try "fastboot oem unlock" then I am given a message saying waiting for device no matter what I try.
I have enabled debugging mode And the Oem unlock toggle from developer options as well. Any help would be very appreciated.

If your android rooted using KingRoot then it must your bootloader is unlocked.
Try command in fastboot mode
"fastboot oem device-info" then see bootloader unlocked is true or false. If true means your bootloader is unlocked.
What ever i am typing its saying only "FAILED <remote: unknown command>"
Only the working code is "fastboot devices" 😥

Try this method :
- Switch on the OEM unlocking option in Dev Opt and plug in USB to PC and direct booting into bootloader using ADB cmd
adb reboot-bootloader
- Navigate to PC device manager and look for new device detection and update driver. On Update Drivers popup, navigate to Properties TAB and choose 'Hardware Ids' from scroll menu, rightclick and copy the first id that shown and google for the drivers.
Sometime, from my experiences, PC might say the driver installed for our phone is correct, but it isn't. Thats why when we enter fastboot cmd eg :
fastboot oem unlock
nothing will happen, bcos the driver isnt correctly designed for it.
Well, good luck trying...

Can't unlock Nokia bootloader

Hello there. I have a Nokia 6.1 with android 9.0 and i tried to root it. I enabled the developer mode, then enabled usb debugging.
But when i tried to unlock the bootloader, i couldn't because the OEM unlocking option stays greyed out on off. So when i installed adb and fastboot, i tried to boot by adb reboot bootloader but the fastboot can't do anything because it says device is locked.
I even factory reset the device, nothing. Same thing.
What should i do? Preferably not the paid unlock...
Thanks in advance.
Try this (It will wipe the phone, so create a backup of all important files before proceeding):
1. Connect your phone to your PC with an USB cable (make sure you have activated USB debugging in developer options)
2. Run adb
3. Type in adb reboot bootloader
4. Once your phone has rebooted type in fastboot flashing unlock or fastboot oem unlock
You should have unlocked your bootloader and you should be good to go, if it doesn't work then you'll need an unlock key, which unfortunately you'll have to pay for
If you think that you have misunderstood some steps then feel free to reply

I already found the solution, but it will erase your data.
with the adb commands you must restart the device in boorloader mode:
adb reboot bootloader
Then when I take you to the bootloader screen what you have to write next:
fastboot oem lock
(Remember the phone will be erased)
then to restart the device you have to:
fastboot reboot
And the device will reboot.
what you do is lock it, so that you can then unlock it in a simple way.
(If you do not know what the ADB is, warn man), I hope it helps you and those who enter here too :good:
@l3dson: Be careful before relocking the bootloader: The phone MUST be 100% stock or you will have a brick.
@Mohammedbi: Your bootloader is still unlocked, even after flashing the KDZ. It's just the newly flashed ROM doesn't know it, and you don't need it to.
Just go to fastboot (PowerOff, Vol- while plugging in cable) and flash TWRP. Follow ChazzMatt's root guide for the initial TWRP steps.
Have anyone found the solution for this problem...

What exactly is not working?
ADB doesn't require Enable OEM Unlock to be set. Just plug it in and ADB away - unless drivers or cable or port aren't working.
And your bootloader is still unlocked if it was unlocked before you flashed stock Oreo. You should be able to enter fastboot using the steps described in the post just before yours.
Edit: Of course you have to enable USB debugging in order to use ADB. I'm sure you knew that
