Help Can't Flash Files With Flashify - Xperia Z2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi, I want to install TWRP Recovery with Flashify but I get this error, what I can do?
Please Help

i
i don't know if this bug inside the app or not...
but as the error message said there is no recovery partition (or maybe app cannot recognize it)
so try to flash recovery manual by adb
the key command is this
Code:
astboot flash recovery FILE.IMG
but its better to read carefully
This is good guide
:good:

I do that and it seems to work but when i try to reboot into recovery mode I get an back screen with a orange led. What happen?

Can´t reach Recovery

Hi all. Before i start i want to say, i read a lot of threaths and comments before i started to booting recovery and i followed Tutorial that you can find somewhere here on XDA for MotoE.
I unlocked Bootloader correctly and everything was right. Then i downloaded latest version of TWRP and CWM if something will be wrong.
So i booted into bootloader, connected to PC (windows 8.1) and using adb i installed TWRP (by command window). After instalation was complete, i used comand: "fastboot reboot" to get my mobile start normally. Everything worked fine so i started last step. Turned off mobile, booted into bootloader(or maybe fastboot? idk...) and by volumebuttons i choosed "Recovery" . Then a black screen for a minute. After that mobile stuck on screen that i attached down below. So i tried this but with CWM (same process way). But nothing new... Someone said me i had to try "Minimal ADB and Fastboot" but again, nothing happend.
Can you help me guys?
The recovery isn't installed! Reinstall the recovery and follow correct steps!
I tried it one more time. I´m attaching image that is from command window showing that .img was booted ... Strange is, immediately after booting was completed, mobile restarted... and after i turned off mobile again, still i can´t reach recovery. Isn´t that problem in .img file? maybe it´s broken, isn´t it?
Tried once again
Ok last try didnt worked. So i complettly followed this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-e/general/guide-one-moto-e-beginners-guide-t2807891 STEP-BY STEP!
Command window screen attached, Fastboot screen attached.
After reboot, turn off i tried to open recovery and again that image that i posted in first coment. (android figure with words: no command)
By that guide i downloaded recovery from here: https://goo.im/devs/OpenRecovery/condor/
and i downloaded just "openrecovery-twrp-2.7.1.0-condor.img" as i have to do it (written in guide)
Well, your recovery is flashing fine from cmd but its not detected by your phone.
Try re-downloading the recovery and check md5 before flashing.
I'll look into it and see if the issue can be pinpointed.
Btw, you might need the flash the stock ROM back if nothing works.

Okay try this.
Flash CWM
If flashing fails or you get any error, then try booting into recovery.
Code:
fastboot boot recovery.img
If you boot into recovery, flash the SuperSU package.
Reboot and then flash the recovery.
See if it works.

then i flashed it, then i rebooted phone then i shuted it off (to boot into fastboot) in fastboot i selected recovery and again, that screen with android figure (no command) so i pressed power button for long. mobile rebooted. again i went into fastboot to write command you said me to boot into recovery. but i stucked at starting screen (that blue big M in "water" cycle)
this all means, files i downloaded was OK but my phone isnt :/

Do not flash CWM, just boot into it by the command I posted above.
Then try and flash SuperSU, (if you get a root prompt from CWM, select NO.)
Reboot device.
Then again boot into fastboot and now flash recovery (twrp).

I said if flash is not successful, then boot into it. So you can't boot into recovery either.
Here's last resort, extract the stock recovery from stock ROM and flash it. Then we'll try flashing TWRP again.
If you don't have stock ROM, download it. as you might need it to recover.

no i didnt, think you it will help? i mean if i can connect my mobile into pc without any problem in normal mode and in fastboot too... i will unninstal drivers, intall them again and them i will try unninstal motorola device manager and then again intall him.
(i had newest drivers i can update them)
LOL?
OK im in recovery i already flashed superSU...
What did i do?
As you said, i reinstalled all drivers...
then i downloaded same TWRP again (but with mirror source)
I downloaded attached md5 file ( still dont know what should i do with it )
moved recovery and .md5 files into minimal adb and fastboot (both files i renamed to "recovery")
turned off devices
started fastboot
connected to PC
started command window and entered command "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img"
then i didnt wrote sommand "fastboot reboot" as i done before
i just unpluged usb and navigate to recovery button and launched it
and VUALA im in recovery
hurraaa
just installed superSU and then rebooted.
everything works (superSU too)
i have one more question...
i downloaded twrp manager from google play
first start: asked for root permission a allowed it
then message appeard:
"The only compatible version of busybox we support is Stericson. All other cause havoc on all operations in this app. Please click yes to install Stericson busybox"
what the heck is busybox?
+Should i download it or not?
Do not use TWRP Manager, ROM Manager, CWM Manager or any other of these Tools. They often do not really work good together with "exotic" fones. Why the heck do you need TWRP manager? You have TWRP installed
Anyway - Busybox you also can download and install from Playstore. Busybox is a collection of executable terminal commands helpful for any kind of script. There are a couple of rooted apps who will ask for busybox support - so don't hesitate to install busybox - but do it directly with busybox app from playstore.
After you have installed the binaries you can de-install the busybox-app. Because all necessary binaries then are copied into /system/bin/ folder and the app itself only will become active once a new version would be available (but this is not the case very often).
ok then

Recently bricked my honor 5x used fast boot to get it out of boot loop. (Because I tried to its update my phone with twrp)now when I try to re flash twrp it gets replaced by the stock recovery Everytime . Please help!
Samething happend to me... cannot flash twrp because when i restart phone after flashing twrp, it gets replaced by stock recovery.
What i do now is to boot to twrp instead of flashing using this command:
Code:
fastboot boot twrp-3.0.0-0-kiwi.img
Hopefully there is a solution for this flashing problem.

you can't just reboot after flashing recovery ...you have to boot directly to twrp after the flash with power + volume up (Skip the fastboot reboot step)
the simple way is to copy kiwi_twrp_3-21_recovery.img to your sdcard
fastboot boot kiwi_twrp_3-21_recovery.img
now in twrp choose install / image / then choose kiwi_twrp_3-21_recovery.img
next choose reboot / recovery
you now have kiwi_twrp_3-21_recovery.img
from then on adb reboot recovery from android
or power + volume up will enter TWRP

I really don't know why you don't seem to get it
it's this simple
you fastboot boot kiwi_twrp_3-21_recovery.img
now while in TWRP copy kiwi_twrp_3-21_recovery.img to the phone
Also copy SuperSU-v2.64.zip (or newer) to the phone
after the files are copied choose Install / Image / kiwi_twrp_3-21_recovery.img
next choose install / SuperSU.zip
next choose Reboot / Recovery
you now have TWRP recovery and you can enter it by using power + volume up
or from an app on the phone (I use Quickboot) or from a pc with adb reboot recovery
I have the same problem, i tried with your method but the system continue to replace bootloader, impossible to keep twrp on recovery
Edit : I try to install Root Checker, it detect my phone is root but impossible to access to TWRP, very strange

Tried this on my KIW-L21, as this is the only way I did not try it yet...
Did not work, unfortunately, I assume the OP could have the same problem as I already posted in the TWRP thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=66678377&postcount=509
(It is a shame people spam this thread with unlocking problems, though)
EarlyMon mentioned something about dual recovery partitions here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=66838009&postcount=529
So regardless how many times I flash TWRP it wont stick until the next reboot to recovery, as it gets replaced by the stock one all the time.
I am thankful for every news on that topic and I would happily help(to the extent I am able to) getting TWRP back onto our phones :good:
P.S.: I am not quite sure if the OP has another problem in flashing the recovery, though.

So you are booting TWRP
Installing / TWRP.Img in TWRP and Reboot recovery and your not booting to TWRP ?
Just my two cents into this thread: apparently (from my personal experience, and EarlyMon seems to back this up) the Honor 5X for whatever reason allows the installation of TWRP but still keeps Huawei's stock recovery in place, unlike most phones. What's more, it randomly (yeah, guessing it's not random obviously, but I don't have the slightest clue what the pattern might be) decides to boot into stock recovery while I use the same hardware keys that have continuously booted me into TWRP up until that point. This behavior led me to believe I had bricked my phone for a day, lol (I made a recent post about it on this forum, in case anyone cares).
Bottom line: if you can't boot into TWRP even though you made sure to install it correctly, try changing the key combo. Vol down + Power not working for you? Try Vol Up. Neither work? Try Vol Up + Down + Power. Spice it out and it might solve your problems.

That is correct:

Tada, Stock eMUI Recovery :[

The last approach was done with the one from the first post of the TWRP thread here on XDA(https://goo.gl/53xai9) "kiwi_twrp_3-21_recovery.img"
I also tried the TWRP images from https://twrp.me/devices/huaweihonor5x.html but always the same result.
I can try with a specific image, just give me a link and I'll try to flash it. :fingers-crossed:

Soft bricked (maybe emmc dead)

Flash a recovery via Odin and boot to recovery then factory reset in recovery then wipe cache.
If Odin isn't working then you can try getting a recovery in .img format then use the dd command in adb to push the recovery.img to your recovery partition.
If you have to, download your stock firmware then find instructions to extract the stock recovery.img from the firmware, then you need to find out which mmcblk0 your recovery partition is in, then use the dd command to push the recovery.img to that mmcblk0. You can find instructions for all of that with a Google search if you take your time and search for each thing I mentioned.
Thanks Droidriven! I'll give it a try when I have time this weekend. I'll post back with my ultimate success I hope!

(Solved)ADB&Fastboot problem(Y6 SCL-U31)(Unlocked Bootloader+FRP Unlock)

I'm trying to flash twrp.I have gone step by step I can't think of anything that I forgot to do, I did everything that was mentioned here and other places even my device is detected in both adb & fastboot.but I can't flash twrp
I tried these:
1-adb devices
returned a serial number
2-rebooted to bootloader using:
adb reboot bootloader
3-fastboot devices
returned device id(I think)
4-fastboot flash recovery.img
returned error
5-fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
returned error either "command not allowed" or "Operation is not permited"
6-Different combinations of above commands plus flashing command
What is flashing .... in fastboot. It doesn't work. It acts like an unknown command. Does anyone know how to use it correctly? Help of fastboot didn't help
(Attached screenshots=CMD:Command Line in Windows,SCL-U31:My phone screen in fastboot mode)
See it for yourself in screenshot please
Thanks in advance!
P.S I read a lot of other threads,I Couldn't Find anything that helped me solving the problem,So,Any further idea?
No luck still

Of course I did. And also device is being detected in both adb and fastboot.
As I already mentioned I used flash recovery recovery.img(or twrp.img I have two versions of recovery that I can flash)
The error is=remote operation is not allowed or sometimes operation is not permitted(which seems to have same meaning )

OK then.
You can root your device with kingroot/kingoroot, it worked in the past for Huawei Y6, after you rooted your device install flashify and press on "Recovery image" after you granted root access to the app. After that click on select file, download this recovery for y6: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=962187416754472815 and flash the recovery with Flashify.
Done!
I am not responsible for Bricked devices!
After you done all of that you can flash an custom ROM and I recommend to root with magisk. Always make an backup when flashing a ROM!
If I helped a Thanks is appreciated

Not nice to hear that.
What you could try to do is:
Factory reset/Install an update.app made for SCL-U31 from recovery
Enable Usb debugging again
Reinstall usb drivers (HiSuite)
Lock&Unlock your bootloader again
Try to flash TWRP
Im happy if this worked and i am sorry if i wasted your time, sometimes this happens if you don't have HiSuite installed.
You could try this too:
adb reboot bootloader
adb kill-server
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot reboot
Attention, install HiSuite to your PC, Connect the Phone to the PC with the cable, make sure You have usb debbuing is enabled and accept any dialogs that show in your home screen(They do not show on lockscreen) wait so HiSuite installs on the phone(An dialog should show up on the PC) and try flashing TWRP again.
Good luck

Twrp 3.2.1.0 bootloop problem

I downloaded a the right stock rom and certain .img files and tried to flash them and get a error unable to mount /system /data /cache and so on so on.

Stuck in twrp bootloop.
Cant ercovery or fastboot.
Computer wont reconize the phone no more.(so no adb commands).
Cant flash anything due to the mounting error in twrp.
Please help me i I think my os is fine I think.

PLEASE HELP ME.

Similar question, hope to get more help .
You can not go into TWRP also?! Or you can go into TWRP and can not reboot to system/erecovery/bootload ?
Problem seems to be /misc partition. If you somehow wipe it (in twrp terminal) or flash recovery without /misc in fstub, MAYBE it would go out of recoveryloop.
Do you have unlocked bootloader with notification screen on boot like "bootloader is unlocked and phone is not trusted.... press Power button to continue..." ? If not, how you bypass it? If yes, you can hold Vol+ for 3 sec to go to eRecovery. Any change to download stock rom to external SDcard to dload folder and to hold Vol- and power on phone?
yes my bootloader is properly unlocked and no still get the loop with stockrom and try do anything in twrp have problems with mounting errors

Where do you find or made twrp for LDN-L21? must be error in fstub or wrong busybox/toybox version.
Did you fastboot flash recovery twrp.img or fastboot flash recovery_ramdisk twrp.img ?!
