Now check out my post 4.4.4 ( Download Mode ) images below, that I made right after I upgraded to 4.4.4. The image on the right is 4.4.4 (0). Is that number (4) in the image above a flash counter ?
I have since gone back to 4.4.2, there's to many problems with 4.4.4. So is anyone rooted with 4.4.4 that can check this out ?
Does (4) reset to (0) if you unroot the device and go back to official stock ? Maybe Triangle Away will reset it, if it's a flash counter ?
I tried reading about on the above app.
It's linked below. Scroll back to the first page.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s2/orig-development/2014-01-15-triangleaway-v3-26-t1494114
Counter (0)
I can definitely say, that the number in between the parentheses is the number flashes on the device. Updated to 4.4.4 NH7 and checked the download mode, it was at (0). Flashed a recovery, SuperSu v 1.94 then (0) changed to (2) flashed an AOSP rom went to (3). Checked out my signal strength on NH7 it was about the same as NC5. Flashed back to 4.4.2 NC5 just because I had it on a backup all dialed in.
Flash Counter
Don't see where a flash counter (KNOX) has anything to do with the (KNOX) program which secures data with an encrypted container to send to another location ? So, the most likely explanation is Samsung and the NSA are just gathering a little of your info for personal use !!! Lol

I've been running a 4.1.1 jelly bean rooted with CWM Touch on my S 3 for a while, and for some battery problems I've had to return the mobile for stock unrooted ROM to visit the Sam Customer service, so I flashed the XXABLFB using Odin3 then done a factory reset with the code:
*2767*3855#
It all went well .. and the mobile now is android ICS 4.0.1 .. but when I try to do the OTA update to turn to jelly bean it says no update available, and kies gives a "not supported firmware version:

I tried also to reroot the phone and reflash the CWM to do a full format but the odin3 keeps giving me "FAIL" messages.
any suggestions ?!
You are in Egypt? I suspect that the firmware that you have flashed is not intended for the region? top of my head, XX is European/British based ROMs, or that JB update is yet to be released in Egypt through your mobile carrier?
What I would recommend for you to do now, send the phone to SSC to resolve your initial issue since the phone is already unrooted. In particular situations should SSC not repair your phone and provide you with a replacement unit, you would be wasting your time in trying to get JB update etc...
You have Korean firmware on a non Korean product .
CSC= KOR .
Join XDA Developers and flash stock rom .

Hi all,
I got a VZ replacement GS4 the other day and was lucky that it was still running 4.4.2 so I decided to give a go at rooting the device. I tried a few one-click solutions but none seemed to work. I eventually found a method on these forums([How-To] Root I545_NK1 - 4.4.2 (12-1-2014)) by muniz_ri that worked like a charm. Here are all my current info...

After gaining root access, I downloaded superuser, Titanium Backup and Rom Manager. First thing I did was back up all my Apps/Data with TB. I wanted to flash some ROMs before I did I went into ROM Manager to backup the current ROM and after the initial reboot I noticed it was not booting into CWM Recovery but what i think is the stock recovery and would show the android for a second and then it would show it "dead" with the error triangle above with the message "No Command". From there I just continued with the system reboot option 1.
I tried a few more times, same result. I even tried TWRP to try to backup the current ROM and I'm getting the same result.
Any suggestions on what can be going on?
I believe people said CWM and TWRP aren't possible for builds beyond MDK cause the bootloader is locked. I think you probably should use ODIN following this to return to factory NC5, get updates to NK1 and get root using this. I think the current way for rooting and backing up is flashfire? maybe you can use that for custom roms. Or someone comes by and corrects me for being dumb
Hello, I am trying to return to stock for Miitomo/Android Pay to work on my G3-VS985 from CM13 nightlies with the last LP radios and boostack of 35B
Essentially what happens on all flashing methods is it fails to install the mtp drivers, and fails to connect regardless of OS bitness and version (Win10x64 and Win7x32 tested) and does not change the COM number on the phone's screen,
on one of the flashes it deleted the bootloader flash partition, and i re-flashed it in TWRP3, alongside all the 47A partitions except system and recovery, blaming possibly dead partitions of previous flashes, in hope to fix the flash mode
and here i am, stuck on just 47A flash mode which doesnt seem to respond enough to flash a KDZ or TOT
in the flash mode's status box it states "VUSER B60"
How likely am i to get this back up and running? and if so, how would i go about this?
THIS HAS BEEN FIXED, BAD CABLE
Glad you solved your problem! In the future, please put questions in the Q&A section. I'll notify a mod to move it.
You can also edit the title of your thread in the Advanced edit view, and put "SOLVED" in the title.
Edit: Also, are you sure your HD2 is dead? Or just resting? (Sorry, Monty Python reference)

Hi,
I own an Acer B3-20 tablet with stock firmware, rooted via kingroot and unkingrooted with supersu me pro.
An OTA update came today for my tablet and I did proceed not thinking about the root thing.
The update failed with the file
Code:
/usr/bin/debugd64
found not equal to the one expected. I assume it is the rooting process that changed that file.
No damage was done when I rebooted. All was there.
So I said to me. I am gonna reflash (OS_Acer_AV0L0.B3-A20.RV03RC06.WW.GEN1_A51L_A.zip) the stock firmware from SD Card to get rid of root but when I got into recovery mode (power+ vol up) I discovered that menu in chinese instead of stock recovery. OMG!

Edit: looks a lot like this
I tried again the update after deactivating super su. (unrooting ?). It failed to do the update again but drop me it what seems to be exactly the stock recovery. So I used it to reflash the original firmware provided by Acer for the tablet. hence unrooting completly. and proceed to make the update again which worked this time. :silly:
Did you get the new chinese recovery after the update ? my build is now: Acer_AVOLO_B3-20_RV07RC01_WW_GEN1
How did I get the original stock recovery given I have already reflashed the original firmware and did not get it back (but I applied the OTA update on top of it) ?
What does every line of it mean ? Can somebody translate this menu, please ? the last one is reboot . It's all I manage to get
first highlited line seems some low level stuff and all this does not seem to be the recovery in chinese.
Thanks

Hi guys i received a Samsung J3 SM-J327T1 MetroPCS from a friend..As soon as u power it up there is the Blue Screen as in my picture....Word is that someone may have flashed a different or earlier version of the Firmware and this is the result...I tried everything in the book to get it to at least go into recovery mode.Tried the latest stock Firmware to no avail...I will post pictures hoping u guys may have come across it before and may know of a method to revive it....
As soon as i power on the phone i get the error message below.Even if i flash the most recent firmware. The flashing process goes tru very smoothly in Odin without any errors ..But when it reboots it goes back to this same blue screen with error message below...If u can't see the picture it says:
''Security Error. This Phone has been flashed with Unautorized Software&is Locked.Call your mobile Operator for addiotnal support. Please note that repair/return for this issue may have additional cost.''

After i use odin to Try with the combination ..The combination goes tru without errors..But as soon as it reboots i get the error message below..I cannot enter recovery..Only download mode.
I have read from another forum that it is the dreaded MetroPCS Secure Lock they added to protect the integrity of the phones...Secure Lock is technology that prevents unauthorized firmware from being installed on MetroPCS phones.Would appreciate hearing from u all if this would be the case..And the phone needs to be thrown away and savage for parts ofcourse..thanks
