Such a dumb question but everyone always hears me tapping when I text and I'm in the phone. Nobody heard it when I had a gs4. Anything?

lol...what?? Are you talking about the keyboard sound? Or the sound of your fingers hitting the glass?
Like when I'm talking on the phone and I go to send a text at the same time, the people hear me doing it, but very loudly lol. Like the tapping on the glass.

You would have to turn off the vibration for the keyboard. It's the vibration they're hearing.

It's actually not though, that's the problem. I can't even feel it and it sounds like it's rattling against glue/tape.

Dammit, Everything else is so good on this one. Ugh!
Issue is covered in this topic: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1400681
There are 5 or 6 of us that have had the issue, I got mine replaced for it.

i would say wait it out dont return yet wait until stock fills up unless the thing is so bad you cant stand it
Mine sounds like a duck everytime I would use the keyboard. It really got annoying as everyone around me was like "WTF is that quack sound?".
I ended up turning it off all together...

not the only one
Just got my Champagne model, and have a Gray as well. Going to choose which one to keep.
So far, everything works on the Champagne, EXCEPT the haptic feedback. It pretty much just makes a noise, although every now and then it does actually vibrate the device.
The Gray has a bit of light bleed, and GPS won't get a lock. And haptic feedback on it, although not noisy as with the Champagne, is very weak.
So, I turned it off on the Champagne and am considering keeping it. It's awesome otherwise. Problem is, it still tries to do haptic feedback when manipulating things on the home screens and app launcher (like moving icons, etc.), as well as in the Gallery when selecting images for deletion).
Grrr.

yah i dont know why there still is some haptic feedback when you turn it off. I dont care thst mine doesnt work but its annoying when it still tries to do stuff when you turned it off. I guess eventually I wont be changing things atound that much so it wont matter but still, annoying.
I often notice the tiny things other people don't notice but I'm wondering if anyone else can hear a very small rattle noise come from the back of their phone when they shake it up and down.
You have to put the back of the phone very close to your ear to hear it, I'm just curious as to where the noise is coming from? Is it the camera?
Cheera
Other posters have in the past posted noise /rattle from the camera .

Ah, from what I've read it seems to be the auto focus. It really isn't an issue as I can only hear it when the phone is VERY close to my ear. For some people it seems to be much more noticeable though when they tap the top part of the phone and when I do that I only hear it very slightly and when I shake it.
Cheers
People have been telling me they can't really hear me good when i'm talking and i sounds a little fuzzy/far away. Anyone have this issue? where is the mic on the phone? maybe i am blocking it when holding it? Using aT&t
Reviews I've read and people I've talked to on my Note all say the call quality is great. The main mic is the little hole on the bottom edge between the pen and the usb port. There is a noise-cancelling mic on the top edge.

Try turning off noise suppression under settings>call>additional settings. You can also do this while on a call. Hit the menu button. Mine was the same. I turned it off and everyone says I sound so clear.

Anyone having a buzzing sound in their earpiece? Sounds like the little metallic screen is buzzing away when someone is speaking and the louder the volume as they talk the louder the vibrating noise is. Just wondering is anyone else has the issue.
EDIT:
Just checked again with a phone call and by applying pressure to the area of the earpiece speaker makes the buzzing go away. Now the wife is pissed because this is her mother's day present to shut her up from complaining about her OG Evo..... damn the luck, lots of complaining ahead now.... hahahaha.... oh well....
Not I. I just had one of the clearest sounding phone calls I've ever had on a cell phone.

I do agree though, when I apply pressure it does have a nice sounding call quality. Makes me want to give up my SE4GT.... what a killer screen!
I have made quite a few calls with mine already and they have been clear as can be, I am completely impressed. Is it like that on every call or intermittently? Perhaps if it was just one call, maybe it was the other persons phone and not yours.

Unfortunately each call we tested has been this way. She said it happened all day when she tried it as well. hmmmmm.....
Got my replacement phone today and of course it has a phone speaker that constantly buzzes regardless of volume. Go figure, I can't win with this phone!
Going to take it into a Sprint store tomorrow to see if they can repair it otherwise I am going to demand a new phone since I know they will have them in stock with the Saturday launch.

It's crystal clear... Until you drop signal from the Sprint tower, lol. Not docking the phone. Sprint service has gone down hill over the past few years

if anything i think stock vibration is too strong...reminds me of my og inc
can be modded to lower/increase in framework
Yeah, mines pretty strong as well.
I can definitely feel it vibrate, but hearing it vibrate is a different issue. The original Incredible definitely vibrated with a deeper sound, so I would hear it go off from many rooms away. The Incredible 4G produces a higher-pitched vibration sound which is a lot harder to hear. But feeling it I haven't had a problem with.

Ahh trying to hear the vibration is a different story. Few things go into being able to hear it.
1) its slightly rubberized on the back so it doesn't make as much noise on a hard surface
2) less vibration within the phone (i.e., parts inside the phone dont rub together as much), better build quality
Keep in mind, most people don't want to hear the vibrate. They turn it on during meetings, so hearing it is an overall distraction.
