What apps do you guys removed after rooting? - Galaxy Grand 2 General

Hi, just like the title, I'm wondering what pre-installed apps do you guys removed from your Grand 2 after rooting? Also, what modifications did you guys do such as what's your launcher, rom etc.

No need to delete any app, If any app is useless for you just disable it

As for modifications... Xposed firmware! Nothing more to say lol.

KNOX and InteractiveTutorial.apk (Help app) for me.

New delete.
Are many of you noticed that there is a hidden folder (.thumbnails) 0-600 <+ mb in size. Which is nothing more than a video player cache. Therefore, I delete the video player. I deleted the folder thumbnails. Thus, not unexpectedly develop the already much less space on your phone.:good:

How to uninstall stuck game

hope this is in the right place.
I downloaded & installed this game to test it out...
Code:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cupra.rec&feature=search_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDEsImNvbS5jdXByYS5yZWMiXQ..
but I now cant un-install it. if I go to app setting I can press un-install but it just doesn't remove it. I have app monster pro on my phone but the game doesn't show up under installed apps so cant use that to remove it. the game files take up 1gb of space & I want it back!
pls help?
EDIT> I managed to sort it myself, can a mod pls lock/delete this thread pls?
Install Titanium back, perhaps this program will see the game. Otherwise, just delete the files, so you have your space back.
Most of the time this works for me.

of course, I just deleted the game files on my sd card then once I had done that it simply un-installed easily from with in Appmonster pro. I think the un-installer was having trouble with the nearly 1gb in size game files

[Q] advantage to put app in system/app??

hi, well... i was wondering if i put an apk in /system/app, tht means this apk will be a syste application right? but is there any advantage else then this? if this app will consume more battery if i install it like any apk? thksssssssssss
/system/app is the folder when all system apks are stored here and it means that you can't delete it via launcher or manage apps.
There are no differences between putting app to /system or /data in battery drain.

One advantage is as my friend told above.. For ur second doubt, let me clarify it.. U know the concept, less apps more performance.. Some or most apps hav a ability to start themselves with user intervention!! So use an app like System Tuner Pro where u can freeze some system apps(careful not to stop systemUI and other imp apps!!) which u cant stop the svc they started!! So before pushing apps think whther they r essential. system apps process cant be stopped easily..
One more thing is that system apps have access to things that regular apps don't. For example, in ICS, non system apps do not have the ability to directly access things like APN configurations, as those are system level stuff. It's generally a good thing, but if you want to do stuff like backup and restore an APN in ICS, you cannot do so unless the app you are using is a system app.
well, thanks for ur reply, kind from u, its clear now, thks a lottttttt

[Q] Which utility app would you recommend?

I am planning to buy a new phone, maybe LG G3, so a new phone and new kitkat 4.4.2 system to me, I am using Galaxy Note 1 currently. Can anyone suggests a utility app or any app that have all these function? I am using a Chinese app called 360 Dashi at the moment but I don't want to use this anymore, but I didn't find other apps that contain all these function:
1. Delete app cache
2. Free RAM
3. Search & delete empty folders
4. Search & clean leftovers after uninstalling apps
5. Manage app on or off when switch on phone (e.g. I don't want WhatsApp and Google Play "open" when I switch on my phone, which means they will start only when I open it manually)
You can say that I want a cleaning app, something like that, but must contain all those functions. Thanks in advance!

You might want to give Clean Master or SD Maid a try.

SD Maid looks good but it can't free RAM and set apps on and off... Clean master may be able to free RAM but also can't set apps off in booting... Any suggestions?

I have also installed Autostarts (root required!!) or Manage Autostats (again, root required!!). Autostarts lets you disable all autostarts of apps, e.g. after boot complete or any other received receiver.

I would suggest Autostarts, as this app is able to switch off all auto-startup receivers for your apps, e.g. the BOOT_COMPLETE receiver, which indicates that boot is completed. But not all apps are receiving this one, there are several other receivers like EXTERNAL_STORAGE_MOUNTED, indicating that an external storage, for example an SD card, has been mounted - this one will also result in autostart of apps after boot. Quite sad that there is no trial version, but you might give ROM Toolbox a try, it has the same functionality included, at least in its Pro version, but I don't know if the Startup options are available in the free version. If you have Xposed, you can use ReceiverStop for free.

What are safe apps etc to delete to free some memory?

Hello there i think i am gonne root the galaxy s6 edge.
So i can delete some apps etc with titanium backup..
Maybe it will help for the random reboots that i have is to delete som apps to free up the ram..
I dont know if it will work but i can try it.
There are plenty. Milk music. Milk video. Any of the Microsoft apps. Most of the apps placed by my carrier I was able to remove as well. Facebook was the first one I removed. There are plenty of others that are safe to remove

Gallery apps for example crate thumbnails, YouTube and other apps cache files.
Use Apps like this one https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.diskusage to identify the junk.

I get you. The point is you must identify at which position the storage will be filled. In pictures? In download? Is it an app folder?
That is where disk usage can help you to identify where's the culprit. You can also post a screenshot.
Something fills up your storage, yet we don't know what.

WhatsApp seems to be the problem since it's uses more than 7GB on the data partition(apps). Whatsapp media including the database is located on data/media as we can see.
I would recommend to uninstall whatsapp and see if it frees the 7GB under apps according to the screenshot.
