I want to write a Tasker script that'll turn off Location Services when the screen's off (to kill the location wakelocks), but the problem is that turning Location Services back on produces the confirmation dialog and requires input to continue.
Is there any way to override this? Mod, hack, app, I don't care.
So my phone is basically close to 100% awake due to a constant GPS wakelock. The battery info shows GPSD as the #1 drainer and BetterBatteryStats shows ours of GPS wakelocks. I've read as most GPSD drain threads, but none have been helpful.
These are my current settings:
Location Services -> Access to my location UNCHECKED
Use GPS Satellites DISABLED
Use wireless networks DISABLED
Google Settings -> Access Location UNCHECKED
Location Reporting DISABLED
Location History DISABLED
Android Device Manager -> Remotely locate this device DISABLED
Allow remote lock UNCHECKED
Security -> Remote Controls OFF
Besides that, I've frozen all known apps which use GPS (maps, waze, etc) with Titanium Backup.
I've wiped, and reflashed some roms (ArchiDroid mostly). Usually the drain is not present, but after some days it begins.
The phone may have no GPS wakelocks for some time, then GPSD drainage is triggered after using a GPS apps.
I'm rooted, and running out of options. Is there a way to know which process is invoking the GPS? Any suggestions?
I appreciate the help.
To eliminate software as a cause flash a full stock firmware then factory reset, run it for a few days without installing or restoring any apps/settings.
If it occurs during the test then it might be a hardware fault.
Hi,
I cannot activate the automatic hibernation for Greenify on my Honor 7 because "secure key-guard" is activated.
How can i desactivate it ?
At the same time, i cannot activate the accessibility service of greenify. Each time i activate it, it turns to desactivated. I could activate it for other apps such as Automate but not for Greenify.
Maybe these two problems are related to the same problem.
I have Lollipop 5.0.2 EU
Can you help me ?
Thanks.

Secure keyguard is the screen unlocking option in device settings. You can disable that and use the swipe unlock feature.
The Accessibility service will stay enabled for Greenify if you are using it in non root mode. In any other mode it is not required and even if checked, will automatically uncheck itself after some time.

Hi I have noticed that system have use more battery than usual, so in better battery stats and wakelock detector showed me that wakelock called "WifiOffDelayIfNotUsed" is cause of problems. How to prevent this wakelock? I tought this was caused because I have smart lock enabled but I changed screen lock to swipe and turned off smart lock in 'trusted agents' and drain still remains, please help...?
I've allredy tried clearing data and cache for google services and rebooting but it has no effect.
I am trying to avoid factory reset, there must be easy way than fighting an ant with nuke.
I don't have root and can't (won't) to do it. Device is LG K8 dual (K350NDS).

Have you enable wifi scanning always enable in wifi settings. If yes then set it to never.

Weird thing is that I don't even have that option in wi-fi>advanced only "keep wi-fi on when screen is off" i set it to no but there isn't any difference not in the drain not in the wi-fi functionating, btw in location settings wi-fi an bt scanning is off.
I use my Xiaomi to open my NFC doorlock. However, it only works when the screen is unlocked. On my old LG G3 I could read the NFC UID even when the phone was turned off so I could get in even if the battery was too low to run the phone. This was the default behaviour. My door is the active transponder so I do not need to start an app on my phone. The phone must just transmit the UID when it gets energized by NFC. Maybe the secure element must also be active.
Where do I turn on this setting on a Xiaomi with MIUI 11?
