a single file ported from a nokia x rom that makes our x 10 gps picks signal fast more accuracy even indoor , in a car or a cloudy and rainy environment
i most often use my x 10 for offline navigation in my car and not satisfied with the gps capability was before
just download the file rename it to gps.conf copy to /system/etc then rwrr permission reboot and test
this file by the way is from a nokia x rom 4.1.2 and tested in feralabs miui v4
backup stock gps.conf just in case....though it doesnt harm your x10 what so ever

I am using my Nook Color with an sdcard based CM7 installation. This allows me to use a Bluetooth GPS device, but as stated the current range is only about a max of 5 feet.
My requirement was to use some Memory Map qct files (which I had purchased previously) with a decent display. Memory Map have been dragging their feet in producing an Android software module, but somebody has beaten them to it. It is called "MM Tracker" and can be downloaded from the Market for £4.99. The product performs well and has quite a lot of good features.
I have used a program called "Bluetooth GPS" (available free from Market) to connect to the bluetooth gps device, and this then offers itself to MM Tracker.
Hi there !
I'm facing a problem regarding an external GPS link on my SGA 5830: with a Nokia LD-3W bluetooth GPS adapter turned on (green led blinking) and resetted, my phone doesn't even recognize it.
- tried different stock ROMs, same problem;
- tried several CM 7 flavours, my BT GPS link works like a charm, best signal, accurate positioning; in CM7 can select GPS source
- tried some other devices with BT capabilities: phone2phone/phone2computer file transfer or BT headset, pairing/working perfect, nu issues.
- the LD-3W module is woking just fine paired with other phones, no matter brand, or OS (Nokia/Samsung/...)
Looks like my phone recognizes all the BT devices, except my LD-3W, or looks like my phone is "locked" on internal GPS.
Any ideas ? Some modding, scripting fixes, "secret" codes, anything ?
Device: SGA with stock ROMs 2.3.5-2.3.6.
Please, don't advise CM7 or other custom rom. The stock camera is the best and I'm really using it.
I have the LD-3W too.
Seems there is a problem with several Samsung devices using external bluetooth GPS. The internal GPS has to be turned on!
To pair the LD-3W first time, the code is 0000.
Steps:
* Turn on bluetooth. Don't worry if the LD-3W shows as "Paired but not connected".
* Then you need to change the GPS Source (Settings/Location and Security/GPS Source) to select the LD-3W. This turns off the internal GPS.
* Then you need to turn on the internal GPS! (Settings/Location and Security/Use GPS Satellites).
You will see your LD-3W dark blue light start up to show the bluetooth connection and the satellite (circle) indicator on the Ace will start flashing.
Don't forget you'll need to change the GPS source again if you want to use the Internal GPS. I always forget to do this
Good luck!!
EDIT:
Just realised I am on CM 7.2 and these options mightn't be available on stock ROMs.
You may be able to try Bluetooth GPS Provider from the market if you are on a stock ROM. I've used it on my tablet with the LD-3W. You will probably still need to turn the internal GPS on.
So I've been stuck for days on this allwinner A13 PND. It came with 4.0.4 and trying out cm 10.1 or any JB rom makes it fly.
Board is a spreadwin nuclearpuppis ss101A navigator.
Original FW: nuclear_Puppis-eng 4.0.4 IMM76D 20130528 test-keys
Tried a few roms/and added the modules:
gt811_ts.ko
ft5x_ts.ko
at24.ko (eeprom)
touch screen now works. changing gsensor (mma7660) to flip X and that works too.
wifi was fine from the get go (realtek usb, can't spoof mac, most have the module)
for gps:
-module sunxi-gps.ko from the tablet fw,
-module gps.exDroid.so in /system/lib/hw (original fw)
-create /data/misc/gps (owned by gps/gps and 777 permission)
-chmod 0000 /dev/ttyS0
-chmod 0666 /dev/ttyS1
-chmod 0666 /dev/sunxi_gps
FM, had to hex patch the KO (missing notify_fmt_on/useless)but now it loads and for all intents it might be working.

Where I get stuck is that audio routing is a bit of a mystery. In most roms I get some sounds playing, unfortunately it goes everywhere both headphones and speaker.
Some sounds are really quiet, some are loud. Some only play through headphones at a reasonable volume. It makes little sense.
I had no luck copying audio_policy.default.so nor audio.exDroid.so from the original fw, even though they use the same kernel. CM10.0 was close when I disassembled the modules. Unfortunately trying to mod there led to no speaker and only headphone sound. Just like if you swap:
audio_pa_ctrl = portG10<1><default><default><0>
audio_hp_det = portG09<1><default><default><0>
So what is the deal with android sound routing? And why does both 120 and 160 pixel density work? 120 is more "high-res", 160 (original rom) is all big.
Anything I can do besides download all 13gb of this kernel+android+figure out what was left out of the sun5i audio driver and what this noname manufacturer did to detect/route headphones?
I've tried alsa mixer (some success/settings reset) and soundabout (does nothing). There are kitkat roms for A10 but none of them booted even though hw should be close. If by some miracle I accomplish this thing, I should probably release it on the most stable rom? FastJB, AOKP (4.1.1) and CM10.1 have been the best so far.
:crying:
My old Beats pill (Bluetooth speakers) are not able to pair with any new devices. Looks like I am not able to set it into discoverable mode.
I want to change my phone now.
I am looking for those paring files inside my (rooted cm12.1 ) device that I can copy into my new rooted phone so that the new phone connects to the beats pill directly.
Can somebody offer any help.
PS: it guess they should be similar to our wpa_supplicant.Config files.
Hey everyone,
I have a old Asus Zenfone 5, and i was wondering if there is a way to use that phone as a Bluetooth receiver for a portable speaker.
I have been searching but i couldn't find any thing regarding this.
The plan is to use the phone's Bluetooth( no external hw bt module ) as a Bluetooth receiver and use the display like in android auto. ( Simply show and use the functions like = Album art, Next, pause, Previous ,seeking, other usual player features ).
also i searched for rom/ system image which is of a player like :
1, Sony Walkman
because this Walkman is running Android OS and i wondered if there is a modified or ported rom like this available ( the phone doesn't support project treble, and i don't mind if some things like RIL, Camera, don't work by using ANY Compactible rom or method for this purpose, Only BT and WIFI are wanted )
2, JBL LINK VIEW
The JBL does more functions than i require but this i what i'm trying to make ( But less ugly than JBL :silly
i already have battery for amplifier, and main amp, speakers, i now only need to do something about the phone
,Thanks for the helps in advance
