Even though speculation. Nice article and read thank you
I've had my phone since the end of July and have not received any updates. The last one pushed was the one with the battey drain issue and I didn't even try to get that one. Do something please. I guess we'll see in the next few weeks and I hope AT&T doesn't make us wait. What's the use of having HTC Advantage if AT&T is just going to delay it?
Why wait on AT&T when you can get better from here or HTC directly?
Or even cook up your own from AOSP source?
We're still waiting on the fixed 4.4.3...sheesh. get it together AT&T. You pull the update and go completey dark as to when it's being re-released? How very Sprint of you.
Its rumor no longer. Android 4.4.4 is now rolling out for the international M8:

Who know exactly when AT&T will rollout Android 4.4.4, but they have been pretty prompt with updates on this phone so far. Hopefully, it will be coming soon, and that may be the reason they didn't bother with fixing 4.4.3.
My opinion is they are gonna scratch the 4.4.3 fixed os and go sraight releasing 4.4.4 for us . At this point with then 4.4.3 battery mishap ota and international already pushing 4.4.4 they would be pretty fat behind the game lol
HTC'S VP of product management tweeted this a few minutes ago "HTC One (M8) Unlock Owners! You'll start receiving the latest Eye SW (Face Tracking, Split Capture, etc) + OS 4.4.4 starting tomorrow. Thx!"

8 hours after converting my M8 to DEV edition I got the 4.4.4 ota update.

So does that mean that 4.4.4 has been released on AT&T M8? I'm on Viper so I cant check for OTA.
No it has not been released...I use the us developer build(same device as AT&T variant) to make things work specifically for AT&T. The official developer OTA and firmware zips are located in my ROM thread.

Look in the Development subforum.
Just stumbled across this - apparently the 4.4.4 release hasn't hit yet because they want to integrate VoLTE into the AT&T 4.4.4 variant - see link for conversation with Mo from HTC:
http://www.landofdroid.com/2014/att-m8-update-delayed-support-volte/
Yup shooting for mid [email protected]
Has it been released yet? On Skydragon so I can't check.

Nope, not yet. Not surprised though since AT&T is awful at pushing out updates.
Integrating a whole new voice/data spectrum isnt very easy,it has been bumped back till 12/15. it is probably going to be a big update besides operating system.

CyanogenMod is not out yet for ANY SGS what you are trying to flash to your phone is for the HTC Liberty aka the Aria
CyanogenMod6 is not available for the Vibrant. You're flashiing a ROM for another phone. Pretty much what vortec87 said.

... Link? the only Froyo that is available is the leaked firmware and its built for the international version and doesn't have JIT enabled.
I'm pretty sure that the original post saying it was CM6 for the Galaxy S is invalid, "HTC Liberty" is the codename for "Aria"
as far as i know as soon as CM6 is out it will be downloadable from rommanager, please someone correct me if im wrong, but i would just wait till you can DL it from that source. be patient it will still be several weeks from what i can guess.

I don't mean to be confrontational, but can you either please provide a link to an official announcement or stop spreading rumors?
The only official announcement I have heard is that it will be available for the UK in September. I don't live in the UK.
We can hope that the US versions (damn the US carriers and their stupid shell games anyway) are similar enough to the international version of the Galaxy S that porting it will be easy, but that's hope and wishful thinking. I am only interested in the facts.

You do know that unofficially when the official ROMs do get released, they can be modified so that when flashing the ROM it doesn't replace your basebands.. basically anything in general that would replace your phone with Euro stuff to cause a brick when you flash and flash back to Eclair (2.1). Eugene has done it for the previous Froyo ROM leak and he's doing it again for the one that was leaked today. So I'm absolutely certain when the official 2.2 from Samsung releases, a developer will do the same.
Is this a permanent solution for people? Especially for people who don't want to flash? No it isn't, but this is XDA, its a place where people mod their phones. Tough luck if you're unable to flash a ROM by just reading instructions.
Would you prefer I tell him that "oh I don't know when Froyo is coming out" and cause another person to post a thread asking when Froyo is coming out?
The answer to that question is pretty obvious. Not being a jerk but don't try to call me out and accuse me of spreading rumors.
And if you really want proof.. this isn't concrete but T-Mobile has definitely made this concrete about a OTA regarding the GPS fix, not promising 2.2 at that OTA but definitely a OTA.

Screen size? Dude, the S6 has mostly absolutely debloated ROM. It's not about the phone, but about the update. The S5 still has some minor, but annoying bloatware. I hope the one for Alpha has only a few Samsung apps.

Do you guys think we will get Android 6.0 Marshmallow on Asus Padfone S? Or we will have to wait for Asus Padfone S2 in March 2016?
I cross my fingers, but usually Asus only updates its phones during 1.5 years, and the Padfone S & X are near to the end of that period...
The X has never received 5.0, so I'm 99.9% sure it won't see 6.0
I converted my X to an S WW. I'd love to see it get MM, but not counting in it. I'm sure the ROM work to get the dock working smooth is quite an undertaking. That makes it less likely to get more updates.

What's so important about Marshmallow anyway? Let it stick around for a bit until they work out all of the bugs first. Let the pawns go first.

Much better battery life than LP. The LP battery drain issues are the main reason why I've been sticking with KK for so long.

Sweet! Probably won't be out for a while because of all the extra work they have to do for the dock-half of the device.
It's definitely not coming to the x. The S could get it but Asus has a horrible update history. Question @hillmom how did you convert your phone?

The update posted online on the 15th was still 5.0, so I guess 6.0 isn't ready yet.
It looks like we are going to get our update around Q2 of this year, probably the end.
Looks promising that we didn't get taken off the list, as of now and I hope this update would work like it has in the past.
Nothing else to say other than to wait to see whats happening in a couple months or so.

Yes lg-firmwares.com will have the latest official. On my h873, I'm on version i of 8.0. Updated through 2 prior 8.0 versions and haven't noticed any daily use differences - seems like just security patches.
Only way to get newer is to move to a lg g6 that can be bootloader unlocked and cfm installed. Then you can get the latest OS regardless. (Or just move to another make with faster os updates)

It's probably because of that Ram Plus option, which Samsung doesn't let us turn off. On Xiaomi i can at lest turn it off and phone instantly feels faster. It's unnecessary feature, and storage memory will never be as fast as Ram.
However my A52s doesn't feel slow at all on OneUi 4.0.

Still no one ui 4.1 or March 2022 update here in US. I'm on att and still waiting , it's April 10 already. What's the hold up Samsung? Even the Russians who invade other countries has gotten it. That's not right!
I'm on A526BXXU1CVC4 for about 2 weeks here in Czech Republic. But I im unable to activate 'magic erase' gallery feature which should be included in this updated.
Thoughts?

Maybe ATT will get in line also.
