Hi xda doods!
I own an old verizon galaxy Tab 7 (sch-1800), but it fails on boot, i'm stuck at Verizon splashscreen. I can access to download mode and recovery mode, but factory reset fails too. It says cache and stuff can't be mounted.
I can't find a lot of info about the sch-1800.
I managed to find the stock rom, and install it with Odin. So now i only can see some...noisy rainbow instead of the splash.
I still have access to download mode and recovery.
I'm wondering what should i put into Odin or how can i apply stuff with the SD card to make it run again
I can't find any answer on the forum about the SCH-1800
Thanks for any help, or helpful link
additionnal data :
a friend of mine brought me this tab from the US, it worked perfectly for a while, but one day it just stumped on splashscreen. Not frozen, i still have the verizon music and animation and stuff.
Im living in France and only using the wi-fi.
I was messing around on my phone. I ended up accidently deleting my OS when i ment to do a factory reset(at the time i was using TWRD recovery. it was telling me i had no OS after. I got a MD5 file that is for the galaxy s4 i337m (canadian bell) which is whom my service provider is. when i try to boot my phone now i have the normal menus without the custom recovery but i cant get passed the samsung logo. i have tried hard reset and hasnt worked. i tried going into recovery and doing a wipe on the cache and doing a factory reset. and still unable to go passed
....
i have tried watching youtube videos and following things online but i cant access my phone.. so i cant do half of what anyone is saying to do.
I also had a error that was saying my software had an issue so i did a autoroot for my phone and now im back to being stuck at the logo screen

Try to get into download mode, and reflash rom with ODIN.
Go to sammobile.com to download firmware for you device.
Give feedback.
solved it
After resting...flashing stock rom, hard re setting, basically watched every video on how to fix a Samsung that won't get passed logo. I ended up getting kies and i entered in my serial number and model number and it fixed my phone in about an hour with my proper software.
New to this forum but skilled in most things IT. I need help removing MDM restrictions and/or flashing a Samsung Galaxy S5 Sport (SM-G860P) to factory defaults. Here is the problem...
I purchased a Samsung Galaxy S5 Sport (Sprint SM-G860P) from Craigslist. When I received it, I instantly saw that it was a demo model with MDM restrictions that would not allow Factory Reset from within settings when the phone was booted normally OR when the phone was booted in Recovery Mode.
I used Odin to flash the stock ROM but this did not delete the demo software or remove the MDM settings. Stupidly, I tried using the Nand Erase All command in Odin and now I receive the following error when booting to Recovery Mode:
E: failed to mount /data (Invalid argument)
can't mount '/data' (Invalid argument)
E: failed to mount /data (Invalid argument)
E: Can't mount /data/log/recovery_log.txt
E: failed to mount /data (Invalid argument)
E: Can't mount /data/log/emmc_checksum_log.txt
When I boot the phone normally it hangs on the yellow "Sprint Spark" screen until the battery dies. I've tried many different .tar files and methods of flashing with Odin but to no avail. Attempting to reset the phone in Recovery Mode still gives this error:
MDM does not allow factory reset
I don't know if there is a way to remove the MDM settings and restore the phone to factory settings. I'm not sure if I need a PIT file to re-partition the phone, but I can't seem to find one online.
The phone is running KitKat 4.4.2 with G860PVPU1ANG2 originally, but I found and installed G860PVPU1ANG3 so when I am in Recovery Mode it reads at the top of the screen:
KOT49H.G860PVPU1ANG3
If anyone can assist, I'd be much appreciative. I've downloaded and installed Android Studio but have never really used it before and I don't know if there is any software that will allow me to remove the MDM restrictions and flash the phone to factory/stock.
Please let me know if you need any other information from me. Thank you in advance.

Anyone?
Is there anybody out there...?
Remove records of rooting attempts?
I stopped into Best Buy and spoke with a kid in the new Samsung department they have. Nice kid, but not very educated on flashing phones or rooting or installing ROMs. He explained that he had a tool that would allow him to wipe everything out and install the newest stock firmware. However, after a couple of attempts and having to manually enter the model info, he received a message that the phone is rooted and he is not able to fix the phone. I know that the software he was using is some special Samsung software that doesn't allow the user to work on phones that have had their warranty voided, but I would think that someone would be able to bypass that restriction and wipe the phone anyway. But this kid wasn't able to...SOOO:
In the state that the phone is in now, is there any way to remove the info that shows rooting took place? I'm hoping that if their special Samsung software doesn't detect that the phone warranty is voided from rooting attempts then it will be able to restore the phone.
Please, SOMEone, help me out! Thanks...

Thanks man, seems like you were taking the path that I wanted to. I'm not able to do anything until I repartition with the pit file...where did you find it?
Thanks so much for replying, much appreciated!!!

Hello
Quite a while ago I decided to try modding my old Samsung Galaxy Ace (GT-S5830). I got it rooted alright, but when installing a mod something went wrong. If I start the phone normally, it get's stuck at the "Galaxy Ace"-screen, meaning it gets past first "Samsung"-screen. However, after that it just hangs in there. This happened a while ago, but I think the mod I was trying to install was ClockWork mod.
Today I decided to try and resurrect my phone. I followed the instructions here: unbrick.itcse.com/unbrick-soft-bricked-samsung-galaxy-ace-s5830/ (can't use links as new user, sorry) and managed to flash it with default firmware. However, now when I try to boot the phone, it goes automatically after "Galaxy Ace"-screen to system recovery mode and gives following error:
Can't access to 'system/csc
d/system'.
(I don't know or how, but it seems to have two empty rows in the message).
If I try to factory reset or wipe cache partition, I get following error:
E: format_volum: rfs format failed on /dev/stl14
(I remember seeing this error before flashing firmware and after the initial try at modding)
I can still access the download mode. What should I do?
SOLVED!!!!
Hey there....
So i have done something terrible wrong.
Was rooting my phone... worked well but i cant install apps as system app. It always told me that it cant mount.
After i saw something on youtube to solve this kind of problem i went to revovery in TWRP under wipe > advanced wipe, checked "system" and clicked to repair or change file system > change file system. I than chosed FAT and rebooted.... result is that im now in a loop of the Galaxy s7 Edge logo because the filesystem of the system is wrong? Dont know what to do... i changed it already to EXT4 and F2FS but its always the loop
Now i cant even enter twrp anymore (it stucks on the logoscreen)
When i try to do anything via odin it tells me FAIL! (Device Info) ... is there anything i can do right now? or did i killed my phone
im realy desperate, i pray that its not hopeless right now
Thanks for your time and answer
Greetings
Chris
UPDATE:
Fixed it with this:
The fail pops up when i insert the rom only in AP... i guess i messed it too much up for only this.... when i set it as the screenshot is showing it works ... thank god xD
