Help | Can't connect my XU to pc - Sony Xperia P, U, Sola, Go

Hi all,
I've recently flashed my xu to stock 2.3.7 gb. Ever since then whenever i connect the phone to my PC it just recharges its battery.
In connectivity in the settings it is set to MTP and i can't even change it. Also tried installing PCC and it can't recognize my phone...
Any ideas what can i do?
Thanks in advance.

Do you have usb debugging on? If yes turn it off, then on again and retry.

New thoughts about conecting sgs2 pc

Before you tell me to read up more posts.(i did - alot)
I cant connect my sgs2 to pc - the problem is that pc recognizes the phone but when it opens the phone folder it opens it very slowly or only few folders... Everything is working is VERY slow motion its not usable... Same happens in keis - it connects but doesnt work...
Ive tried reinstaling keis 4 times, treid reinstaling drivers 2times with keis and in debuging mod...
Tried pc restarts...
Im runing win7 x64 on pc
And stock android gingerbread with latest updates from keis (update worked before win 7 or smth , i dont rly remember)

I had the same problem last night. With Debugging off, kies would see but not connect - also a drive would appear but took ages to view the files, but would not allow opening, copying or deleting. With Debugging on, 2 removalbe drives would appear but would get an error message.
I know that it is not a solution, but switching off and on the SGSII fixed the problem. With Debugging off, Kies connected straight away. With Debugging on, the PC actually let me see inside the 2 Removeable Drives (internal and external SD).
I am going to have a search and find out what is causing the problem.
Thanx for reply ill have to try this as soon as i get home from work.

xperia x10 problem

I got problems with the usb on my Xperia X10i. Everytime I connect the device to the computer it only charges the phone and nothing else; the computer says "unkown device" . I tried installing the drivers, pc companion, SE update....i've tried even rooting with superone click or flashing with flashtool but it doesn't recognize the device at all...
Oh, and something else, when I connect the phone to the computer it doesn't even display the message to chose the option ( mass storage, only charging, etc) and I can't even find Usb connectivity on phone.
Android: 2.3.3
Baseband 2.1.72

Hey refldo

To root the phone you need to turn on the ANDROID DEBUGGING in your settings.. go to settings->apps->development->USB/ANDROID DEBUGGING.... now flashtool should recognize your phone... also install drivers present in the flashtool folder....

Reinstall sony's PC companion... that usually reinstalls drivers... but before you reinstall go to device manager in you laptop and uninstall existing drivers... so that when you reinstall the software there is no problems...

After I did that, in sony's pc companion when I connect the phone it shows for 2 seconds "searching for phone" and after that "no phone connected".
Can I somehow install a new firmware from the sd card? Maybe it'll work this way...

You can't install new firmware without rooting and installing custom recovery... use SEUS (PC companion) to repair your phone...

just to know, Only happens with your computer? Or with all computers that you tried to connect?
Refldo.. I think you need to install drivers again but remove drivers which are already installed... it looks more n more driver issue....

with all the computers.
I've tried on different computers with the different usb cables, so I don't think that's the problem.

tablet z cant connect to PC

Hey guys i just got my tablet z a few days and i need some help please!
I tried to connect my tablet z to my laptop, but Im having some problems. My laptop only recognise SGP311 and wouldnt let me to looks open files and putting music to my tablet z. The weird thing is I have installed the Sony PC companion from tablet z when I first connect the tablet to my laptop via usb! BUT it wouldnt let me do anything else! I tried different connection mode, if I use MSC, it will ask me do I want to install Sony PC companion, and if i press skip then it wont do anything, when i press yes it just runs the installation program only. I tried with MTP by laptop wouldnt connect at all. My computer wont even response with this mode... Do I need to install special tablet z drivers for it or is there a problem with my tablet z? Im using a win 7 x64, and all my usb ports are working properly...:crying:
Try connecting it in debugging usb mode. Or try different usb port.
The question is why cant it connect on MSC (mass storage) i mean i've used other program like usbmassstorage (for my SG II ) it works but it wont work with this tablet why?

For flashing roms the device has to be powered off, so no usb debugging. Usb debugging is for root.
I think me messed up something.
@alveos you have to use flashtool and connect your phone on flashmode. During flash device must be turned off.

[Q] USB mode not working.

Guys recently I started facing problem with the charging animation, later my USB mode failed to show in the PC.
So, I unrooted and did a factory reset.Still my phone status is custom.I have modded some system files also.
Now when I try to flash a firmware using odin, blue colour doesn't light up.I've tried both with usb debugging on & off.
Please help..
Thanks in advance.
Uninstall the samsung usb drivers from your pc and re install it. After installing restart your pc. This should probably work.
