So, I love Google Music, it's great.
My only caveat is making a playlist available offline temporarily, and then deleting it once I'm done.
It makes sense for the subway, etc.
I'll load up a new album, and I normally listen to the album as a whole and then get rid of it to free up space (and to decide which songs make it to my main playlist).
I'm using a HTC One X, so 16gb is a bit limiting and I can't have it full of music.
Any ideas?
I think Google needs to implement this feature.
Yeah, that would seem useful.
You have a HTC One X, doesn't that have around 25 GB usable space?
It does come with 25gb of space, but I dont want to rely on data usage too much when it comes to media.
Kills the battery too quickly lol

Not the Dropbox space. 25 GB phone storage + 25 GB Dropbox right?

The phone on att comes with 16gb of space with about 11ish or so available, plus 25gb extra on dropbox.

Why my S3 has big RAM usage after about 4 days use? I checked RAM in taskmanager and about 500+MB of RAM is in use. At that time, my high-end games ,like amazing spiderman, start to lag and sometimes it even closes itself.I think this happens because it had not enough free RAM.So, I had to restart my device to lower RAM usage(only 200+MB RAM is in use, just after restarting). Why is that? Why RAM usage grows bigger if I didn't restart my device in 4 days? I've tried to limit Backgroung Processes in developer options of setting, but not working. It seems I should restart my phone everyday to get the full performance of my phone.
Any suggestions??
THx...
Wow so you don't restart your phone in four days?

I would have thought the inbuit task manager would handle all this, from what i've read it is excellent. I normally go a week or two before a restart. But i only play games like sprinkle an angry birds.

I always have 592 out of 779? If I reboot I get 400, but after the apps load I go back to 592? I really don't see any problems with the phone? But is it normal?

I'm never retarting my phone and I have no problem. Same with my desktop PC always on sometimes 2 month uptime and no issues.

If you play some games which need a lot of memory android will kill other apps, that are running in the background to free the needed memory. Android is not windows! It will not run out of memory. Even the applauncher gets closed if it's necessary. I play heavy games to (nova 3) and there are no lags, so ram is not the problem I think.

no issue with spiderman game here , one bad thing it require wifi to be on whenever gameplay is needed , did you force shut or freeze the apps ?

Nova 3 is ok for me also. Spider-Man needs more RAM than Nova3.
If U received a message while playing Spiderman, the game will close and u'll have to start over.
That's not good.

Sometimes when browsing a thread full of gif the browser will run out of ram and close. Sometimes the music player close when running memory heavy apps. Not good.
I really have not one issue so far with ram on games browsing etc even running spider man leaving and going to browsers chrome and stock very low ram left but still no issue

That's definitely true.S3 should have at least 1.5GB RAM , 1GB RAM is not enough.

So i spoofed my NT to using a Nexus S
And it turns on but its saying i have no room even tho there is like 5 gb free on my sd card
How do i get this game to run ?
Sent from my Nexus S using XDA
Just picked up a 64gig sandisk sd formatted with easeus and it works with everything. Album music everything you dont need apps like poweramp and whatnot they must have added support. So much storage spaaaaccceeee
Sent from my Sony Tablet S using xda app-developers app
In my case sandisk 64gig also works well. I have 64 gb microsdxc with sd adapter. I formated it via xperia arc from stock exFat to Fat32. Vendor apps sees sdcard also.
Have you gotten apps to run off the sd yet? Like putting the android data on the sd card!!
Sent from my LT28i using xda app-developers app
Do you mean putting app data ( eg big games ) from sd/android/data to sdcard2 sth like move 2 sd option? I havent found solution/app for doin that. Maybe someone else could help you. Btw sony reader 3.0 didnt scan sdcard2 storage.
Ok thanks anyway
Sent from my LT28i using xda app-developers app
I use SCRIPTER from google play. I've had a lot of success with this program. At the moment I am using a 32gb class 10 using the script
mount -o bind /mnt/sdcard2/data/ mnt/sdcard Space after mount, bind and space before the second mnt. With this config the sony only shows up the 32gb sdcard. If you have anything on the internal memory I would guess you will have to download the apps again.
This is particularly good for all those hungry games that require data.
USE AT YOUR OWN RISK.
Regards,
David.
I found one called binder and u just press the button and it does everything for you including.moving the files

the lack of large files support (4G and larger) makes bigger storage useless.

I guess he means since it is FAT32? You can not store files over 4GB..... Like a DVD ISO I guess? LOL
Stifilz
Wow he must have some gigantic bluerays hahah
Sent from my LT28i using xda app-developers app
720p H.264 Matroska is typically around 4GB for a movie, and if they want 1080p that's typically 8GB, so it's understandable that a blu ray disk encoded to H.264 would be that large and present an issue if you are limited to FAT32 filesystem file sizes
Why would you want that on a tablet?? 750mb movies look just fine on this small as screen
Sent from my Sony Tablet S using xda app-developers app
Well, 1080p files would be kinda pointless on this tablet because it's only capable of 720p resolution and would have to downscale and possibly loose image quality, but 720p movie files are not unreasonable. I suppose some people may want to utilize the maximum resolution afforded to them by this tablet (1280x800, whereas 720p is 1280x720). Since most HD quality movies are ripped to the Matroska H.264 file format, it's not unreasonable to assume someone might want to get the most out of their tablets by watching the files at 720p resolutions since it is capable of that.
Exactly its just a waste haha

Any of you gentlemen have had any issues creating data on a micro sdxc?
I just picked up a 64gb sandisk micro sdxc, formatted to fat32, yet I am unable to create any data on the sd card.
I encounter an error whenever I try to make a new folder. Copy/Pasta doesn't work either. I am on an unrooted Xperia Tablet S 4.0.3(release3).
Halp!
I've got a Kingston 128GB formatted at exFAT (did it on my laptop) and it works just fine on my Xperia Tablet S 4.0.3 (release6b). Now I remembered that the update 6b is exactly to provide support for SDXC (64 or 128 gb) cards so I guess you have to update?

Okay... So I rommed up with Spyder CM11 and come to find that all my pictures have all been washed in black. (Heh... Pearl Jam reference) and speaking of pearl jam, I cant listen to that or anything stored on my SD card and it is making my I hate the world sore itchy.
What do?
A few notes:
I had run the encryptamajig to encrypt my phone a while before rooting and romming. Could that be a problem?
I tried using other galleries and media players but can't view or play any pictures videos or music.
