Hi,
I am totally new to the Custom Rom, I have Genesis Tab GT7105 ....
here are the specs:
OS: Android 2.3
CPU: Cortex-A8 1.2 GHz
Ram: 512 MB
memory: 4GB

I did flash from USB rockchip29 tool - an Android 4 ICS for different devices i was hoping it will work however I managed to put Android 4.0 ICS but for example no touch screen no wifi it seems nothing is working expect the display screen but I can't browse anything unless I use a mouse ... therefore I restore to the original stock rom ... also the manufacture does't support anymore this device last update was on 6/2012 !!!
Can I use Android 4.0 custom rom on this device is there any proper .img I can download from ?
Please advice me or someone with experience can help me with that ...

I have this gadgetsfactory.com/c7500-smart-phone-android-2-3-os-3g-gps-wifi-4-3-inch-multi-touch-screen.html MTK6573 android phone (by GAGA as printed on the box) which i might add is half-bricked at this moment .
I have no backup of the ROM and the simple factory reset was useless from the beginning of its short life.
I would appreciate if someone has a backup ROM for this model ,or if you have any ideas i would be glad to hear it.
A few information you that might help you are the following:
Baseband version MAUI.11AMD.W11.37.SPV6 , 2011/10/29
Kernel version 2.6.35.7
Build Number 11HX8.Y8.120316.AD2_3_5_V3.QHDC_CN.COM_MCP_HTClogo

Thank you for your answer.After reading a few things about porting roms (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1941239 & http://www.androidgladiator.com/2013/07/how-to-port-rom-for-mediatek-based-roms.html) i understand that i cannot do it because i don't have any base rom at all .I cannot make a backup of mine since i cannot boot into the OS .Neither Recovery mode has such a function .Thats why i need the stock rom.

If this device realy have MTK 6573? my device have MT 6575 but BaseBand, Kernel and BuildNumber are same as yours, and i found way to install Android 4.0.4 look here http://www.needrom.com/mobile/android-3g-c7500/ If still need for you.
I think this will help you becouse i flashed to my 512 mb ram version 1gb ram version rom from thl, so you can flash unbrick with SP Flash Tool this have 512mb ram version it has original phone kernel, boot, DSP_BL, Preloader, all other is from mtk6573/6575 device universal.

Thank you but i cannot validate your method since i don't have it anymore.But i am sure it was 6573 cpu and 6575.Later models of the same design were equiped with the 6575 cpu.
Hi Guys i have mtk6575 clone...i real highy copy 100% visual look and 1.4Ghz Quad core armv7 smd4x12 and 1gb ram I Flashed Wrong Rom With Wrong preloader and i got no led..no screen no thing at all only soft keys working and i still can flash roms with SP Flash Tool

i'm here because i nedd some help porting cwm or twrp recovery to my mt6572 device
it's something like galaxy s5 and i think it is a hdc galaxy s5 pro which has mt6572 , 512 mb ram , 4gb storage and android 4.4.2 (4.2.2) [I guess]
i rooted the phone with framaroot , i tried several times with lots of applications that helps porting recovery but i have a problem :
in mtk droid tools i have a warning : " fake hardware in kernel . firmware not corresponding"
for this reason every tool i use sees my cpu as different then mt6572
what can i try to port and install recovery?
Team, I am new to android development and i need your help in getting familiar to android development
i have a Obi octopus S520 device with stock ROM kitkat 4.4.2 and i want to flash a cyanogen mod 12.1 to my device
i have already rooted my device using "KING-ROOT PC" but i dont know whether my boot loader is unlocked or locked and i have installed a Custom recovery also "clockworkmod v5.5.4" through MTK Droid Tools
i have tried once to port the cyanogen mod by replacing the files from stock ROM to port ROM and zipped it but after flash my device either sucked on boot loops or just rebooted to my custom recovery . I want to upgrade my device to lollipop 5.1.1
