It is possible by turning off auto hibernation. Then use any third party automator, for an example, Tasker. I do not know how to use Tasker so sorry I can't tell how

[Question] how to turn off capacitive buttons

Hi all, I have noticed that in video playback capacitive buttons are always turned on, and its annoying. I have try with YouTube, MX player (I have no option to change) and native player and always turned on, but the buttons turn off when ambience light is full. Is there any app or script to turn it off?
Hope to solve it

I'm sorry but I don't know how, and please don't post questions in the developing forum, there's a Q&A forum for these kind of threads.

If your current ROM support init.d you can flash this file keyoff.zip in recovery but it will permanently turn it off.
To have the default setting, just delete the 99keyoff from init.d and reboot.
It should work for DX too as long as it runs a sense ROM with init.d support.

Editing build prop can also disable buttons backlight
ro.mot.buttonlight.timeout=
tweak from dark_knight35
currently I'm making a full sense rom with init.d support,

Yo, I can't remember where I found this on I-net, but here's a script (lightsoff) you put in /data/local, then change permissions to execute (for example with root explorer), then you just create a shortcut on your homescreen and hey presto ! Only downside : I always have to reboot to turn them back on, but at least it makes using fbreader a lot better.

Greenify

If you purchase the donation version, you get the option to greenify system apps. However there are some system apps that don't react well to
being greenified. I have neatrom v.5.6 flashed and there are so much shhizzle going on in the background.
Which system apps are safe to greenify?
Lose the stupid font/size. Makes you look like a knob end
Some one?

It won't work with note 4 marshmallow stock. It works only with s7 or note 7 based roms.anyway if you try I'll give you apk file Make a backup before try .do not install as normal apk open root browser and just copy to system/privapp and set permission rwrr restart device. Let me know if it works or not.there are many apps available in playstore for AOD but they drains battery a lot.and also there is bug with brightness .have to click power button couple of times to make brightness normal.

You can't get AOD work only with apk. I heard that AOD not only depends on application. It's also depends on kernel and still any note 7 or s7 ported note 4 roms doesn't fully support AOD features.
try the app always on amoled beta from the playstore as that works perfectly on a note 4 or any amoled screen
always on display
moderator please feel free to move this to correct section thank you
ok i already know that this is probably in the wrong section but my post count is not high enough to post in other section
i have my rooted verizon note 4 (sm-910v) i rooted it my phone with dr.keaton rom for the s7edge and its awesome everything works great
i seen that the always on display does not work like everyone said so i tried my self to make it work and like other people are saying you can see it in settings but cant see it on the shut off screen .......
well i can i went to the internet and typed in samsung aod apk and downloaded 1.7.3.4 and when in google play and downloaded fx files explorer with the root add on for it then went into sysyem root found priv app the aodservice and deleted everything that was in folder and copied my new aod in then added a second copy of it as well i named one AODService.apk and named the second one AODService.apk.bak and set both security permissions to 644
and taa daa it works you can go to settings turn it on open it up change clocks etc and even see it on the lock screen know but the problem is that its very dim hard to see it
anyone in here with more knowledge then me to go into the xml settings or what ever you call it to change the brightness setting or what ever so you can actually see it better on the lock screen
lots of people could not even get it to the lock screen or even get it to turn on i figured that all out just need someone with more knowledge now to fix the brightness of it and we will all have working aod

battery saver & autostart manager, which are already in stock miui rom, should work great
no 3rd party apps required imo
use greenify and enable doze if u have root+xposed
Also, there's a powerful tool called power nap. But be careful if you will use it. Make sure you exclude most of the system apps.

I use both... But amplify I only can block couple

What he said. MIUI is vicious on background apps. I use Greenify on miui only for its one click lock function these days.

Background apps content

Hello,
I have a bug that is driving me crazy.
Let's see if anybody's been through this or have an idea.
Have A huawei mate 20 pro and whenever q pull the window to see the Apps in the background appear some in White, Others in black No content. Stranger than restarting the machine then everything returns to normal and appears.
And I must mention then restarted these apps were Open before restart in the background appear even without content but the latest ones are with content ... Temporarily until disappear.
I have already looked into permissions, privacy and nothing battery consumption ....
Any tips?

I've had a few apps do this also, unsure if it's an app bug or EMUI 9 bug. Always seems to be only the same apps, however they do intermittently appear normal.

I formatted the phone and it's still the same as A Time. And it occurs in all applications

Reapply your dark mode in battery settings. It have something to do with your themes overwriting your dark mode settings.
I have already removed the dark mode as well as the themes. I restart the phone and it returns to normal, but after a time comes back to the same problem. All applications in the background are all black or all white.
