Dbrand skins? - Xperia Z3 Accessories

Hello everyone,
Starting from the Xperia Z I've been a huge fan of Dbrand and their amazing skins for all kinds of devices. That being said, I think that Sony's design is just asking for a high quality skin on the back to prevent scratches on the glass and keep it fingerprint free. I've been stalking their website ever since the Z3 was announced and now that it's actually on sale I'm wondering when they will be available.
Has anyone heard Dbrand confirm or deny skins release for the Z3?

I checked this earlier but I shall wait
Sent from my D6603 using XDA Free mobile app

just got a reply back from them and they said they'll be adding the z3 and z3 compact in the coming month(s).

I already put on an Xtremeskins on my Z3

I can vouch for dbrand, their skins are great, let's just hope they come out with them soon. I'm hoping to pick up the Z3 once I use one in store but until then I may just wait

When I tweeted them I got this reply. https://twitter.com/dbrandSkins/status/520076934668361729
And, When I asked about the durability I got this reply: https://twitter.com/dbrandSkins/status/520733337426866177
I love their products and had their skin on my One M8, here's hoping for a nice carbon fiber look on the Z3!

Still waiting... At least they have confirmed on twitter that skins are coming. Currently using CaseMate barely there just because the back is too slippery naked, but hate the extra bulk and loss of feel. Which one has the best rubbery-feel grip if not counting the carbon fiber? Is leather grippy?

In my experience the titanium adds the most grip, second would be the leather, non really add a rubbery feel its all in the texture.

Dbrand skins are out!

Has anyone ordered and applied a dbrand skin yet? Would be cool to see a real picture, gonna order one myself!

I got the Skinomi carbon fiber black on mine. It's quite slippery (slippier than glass). Can someone who bought the Dbrand skins comment on the feel of the skin? It would be nice if they are not like plastic feel. Thanks!

Thanks. Looking forward to it! I am hoping for a LG Nexus 5 feel. That would be great!

Now I got the skin, looks very nice in my opinion! Was super easy to attach. I chose the Mahogany (nature) skin, and only for the back. It's not slippery, but it's not a rubbery feel either. Feels kind of like running your fingers on a wooden table (smooth) or something. I just got it, so this is my first impression. Looks good so far

I will try to make my own skin on the Z3.
My dad has been working in the film-wrapping business for ages and I've learned some neat tricks from him.
I have acquired a high quality car-wrap film that is brushed aluminum. I believe that car-wrap film is the highest quality and the easiest to apply of all films. Only thing is, would it be dangerous to remove it after applying?
This is the film I will be using.

Just randomly came across this thread. Had a look on their site: https://dbrand.com/shop/xperia-z3 Might be worth getting a back sticker then using a fusion type case on it to show it off but still keep it protected at the same time.
Anyone else tried this? Contemplating getting a skin just to make it look different and also give it that extra added protector.

Phantom Skinz

Has anybody tried this as opposed to other protection screens?

For $40.00 it seems pretty reasonable, just looking for feedback.

these look awesome! might buy one, but im still thinking because i dont know if maybe its too thick for the tab to fit in the dock. i dont want it to go in really tight since ive read about accidents involving a tight dock
Thats the same issue im facing. But It seems thin enough to not cause any of those problems. I just wish someone had some first hand experience. I may just get one that covers the dock :

These skins seems to look fab. Seems to be better than the skinomi skins

I know you were asking about these specifically but I jsut got my Skinomi Brushed Steel skin in today. It looks great. Skinomi makes specific cut outs for the keyboard dock when you buy either the combo or the compatible versions. I don't know if Phantom Skins does this either but also to note with Skinomi ones is that they also have a slight texture which is nice for grip.
That said, the pink PhantomSkinz are pretty awesome, kind of wish I knew about those before I got this one... but at the same time they cost twice as much, so I'm still happy

Now just curious... Since that is steel has it affected your GPS or wifi connectivity? Just thinking about how the prime has issues and such due its aluminum casing...
as spritely said, skinomi makes skins that are compatible with the keyboard. ordering the dark wood one myself, will post a pic eventually
If I'll buy a back cover from PhantomSkinz, i'll recive a screen protector too (like Skinomi.com) ?

Which skin brands are the best for the Nexus 6? And, will carbon fiber or leather provide the best level of grip and protection?

The 2 best right now is DBrand and SlickWraps...and ultimately it's really just preference... DBrand ships from Canada without tracking....so if you're lucky you get it in a week as a happy surprise, SlickWrap is probably be the fastest delivery time.
DBrand have most customization for the back... but SlickWrap will try to accommodate custom request and they also have skin for the side of the phone as well.
Quality is the same for both so no pro or con there.
Grip between carbon fiber and leather is personal preference as well. A lot of people think the leather provide the better grip. I personally say meh.. they're about the same in grip with the carbon fiber giving the better look.
Hopefully that help some
Also there is the round up.

Lol well when it comes to screen protector, it comes down to 2 factors.. do you want a traditional plastic SP or a tempered glass SP?
If its plastic you want, well good news you can really have your pick of the litter.
I personally like Skinomi screen protector http://www.amazon.com/Skinomi®-TechSkin-Replacement-Definition-Anti-Bubble/dp/B00OC1OL12
They are easy to install and once install its very clear without any yellowing or anything like that however, Skinomi is a wet application (wet = easy install)
For dry install I would recommend Spigen Crystal http://www.amazon.com/Protector-Spig...rystal+nexus+6
A lot of people favor it and said that it gives a glass like feel in addition to its clarity.
If you want tempered glass SP that works perfectly for everyone 100% of the times well.....so does everyone else lol
TGSP is really a giant hit or miss for everyone so far due to the Nexus 6 curve screen which result in a haloing effect near the edges (kinda of like a rainbow effect resulting from the SP not being able to adhere flush against the phone screen)
Jelly Comb as been the most successful for people http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00QN2X718/
Others have success with Yootech http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00NWL33OO
and Orzly http://www.amazon.com/Orzly®-Tempered-Protective-Protector-SmartPhone/dp/B00ORYY4IO
However, those last 2 does not cover a significant portion of the screen (that will have to be up to your personal preference if you can live with that)
There is also this thread you can search through http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-6/accessories/tempered-glass-screen-protectors-t2922645
Good Luck
I will never purchase from Slickwraps again. Due to the amount of Drama they start.
Never had an issue with Dbrand. Lead time is usually 5-7 days. Great Quality.

Again, many thanks! You're a tremendous resource.
For the last couple of weeks I had a Spigen SP installed, but the edges on it were a bit harsh. Last night I switched to a Skinomi SP, and am yet undecided. The edges are softer on the Skinomi, but the look and feel I think were better on the Spigen. I'm waiting out the multi day period on the Skinomi for the remaining bubbles, etc. to clear.
I also installed a Skinomi carbon skin last night, and so far the edge/frame pieces have come off completely, which is what spawned this discussion. From your feedback, a short while ago, I ordered a SlickWrap skin. And, I requested a refund from Skinomi.

Unfortunately the Skinomi doesn't have the greatest feel so I usually get the mated finish that way I just know it's not suppose to have a glass feel to it lol. Their skin is also crap. I've had both slickwrap and dbrand and they are both the same quality for the nexus 6.

The Skinomi skin and screen protector proved atrocious and found it's way to the trash.
My SlickWrap arrived today, was simple to install, and looks and feels fantastic. I complimented it with a Spigen Crystal SP, and right now I'm super happy.

The pink looks nice, I have the purple (its more of a lavender color) and it looks good. My wife likes the color, but she doesn't like skins for her Moto X since its already pink.

DBrand Skin

We all love the finish of the new HTC U Ultra but it's a fingerprint magnet. I'm usually not a fan of skins for phones but this phone needs more grip. After preordering and waiting several weeks it finally came in. I'll report back and see if the skin stays in place and doesn't come off. Overall it's quite awesome build quality and feels extra premium. Are you planning to get a skin from DBrand or Slickwraps. If so post pics and here's mine.
I Chose the concrete one Witz the cutout on the Black U ultra, Posting pics when its here
I finally got my skin, its looking wonderful
That's a nice looking skin
I didn't even think about these skins as a solution for the fingerprints but seeing it looks so clean and does not increase the size, Im gonna go for the purple, has to fit so well on black

OnePlus 5 skins

Just installed the Skinnova OnePlus 5 skins. The textures on the skin look so realistic. You feel like holding a Wooden Oneplus 5.
It's a perfectly fitting skin that is literally covering every mm of my phone except the screen (Ordered a Orzly Tempered Glass for the screen).
They have two options of skins for the OnePlus 5 :
1) Full Back - That covers the back and entire side frame of the OP5.
2) Flat Back - That covers only the back of the OP5.
{Mod edit: Link removed!}
Went with the Full back - Ebony wood skin. My OnePlus 5 looks fabulous with these skins. I have attached some pictures for reference and shot some with the HDR mode to show the texture depth.

That looks really great. You did great job installing that skin! Did install dbrand on my OnePlus 3 but it was pretty hard and not perfect. And I don't like imperfection on my phone so I take it off.
I have only OnePlus official carbon case on my OnePlus 5 now.
Looks nice! , I'll stick with my dbrand, any other skin company (bar dbrand and XtremeSkins) have been horrible after a few months. Generally some of the best quality too, they have been in the game for ages

Yes, Dbrand is the best in the market. But I really love this texture that I couldn't find on the Dbrand. The skins still awesome on my OP5 and the texture feel, precision everything is fine for me. Even planning to get another set of skins after few months.:victory:

I am myself thinking of buying either this or bamboo skin from them. not at all able to pick between the two. how's the grip of the skin anyways? did you buy some other skin as well? any comparison between the skins you have owned?
I recommend using cases rather than skins.

The grip is better than having it naked. I would prefer you to go with the zebra that gives you the Matte finish with some added grip imo. Or you can go with the Ebony itself.

Just now they released a video of their dragon skin in their social handles. I think it will be out in few days.
Hi, someone have bought new Dbrand Matrix skins? May i know if they add grip?
I love Dbrand dragon skin because of its major grip instead of nude phone but after many months i'm a little bored.
Before Dragon skin i have leater Skins, it's better than nude phone but in my opinion it's however too slippery

Slickwraps skin for P20 Pro?

Hello,
I recently got myself a P20 Pro, and i absolutely love it, but it so slippery that i want a skin for it (I don't like cases)
I've been looking at slickwraps, dbrand and extremeskins.
Slickwraps caught my eyes because they offer a skin for the camera too. Have anyone tried a skin from them? And how are the quality, and most important to the skin interfere with the camera itself?

Have had several dbrand skins for my old Nexus 6P and have always been extremely satisfied with them. Since I bought my P20 I ordered two skins from xtremeskins (carbon black and leather black). While the latter didn't convince me, the former was extremely good looking... I had the full back cover which covers the sides and top/bottom as well. Extremely easy to apply. Unfortunately damaged the skin for the top when putting it in the original transparant case.. Thinking about reordering with the TPU case they offer...
The phone feels really great 'naked' but with glass back and all I'm not risking it
I currently have a dbrand installed on the phone, the leather-like one. First and foremost, no slippery phone anymore. At the same time I think it looks good. Here are some photos.

I currently have a slickwrap on my phone. Works well and similar to Dbrand. Camera cutouts are good and no issues. HOWEVER, they take forever to ship after you order, like 2-3 weeks, so be prepared and I would suggest buying a few skins at a time so that you don't have to buy multiple times if you decide to get mroe in the future.
