Hey guys.
I wonder if Gear Fit smartwatch works fine with Endomondo app. I know the exercises are completely synchronized with the watch. But here is a question...
What about the pulse during the training? It can measure our pulse when we "press the button". But what about doing it automatically within our training?
Gear Fit in not good device for fitness activities. It's pretty inaccurate.
I use endomondo everyday and you need to have a bluetooth heart rate monitor if you wanted to capture your heart rate as well. then it works really well.
From my Galaxy Note 2
Endomondo have given the option on the Android Wear and Samsung Gear S to use the built in HRM. It is not an option on the Gear Fit yet. Hopefully the will add it.
Android Wear? How come i don't see heart rate when using Endomondo on Android Wear, while other programs are showing it?

Using the samsung S5 with gear fit and S-Healt, and starting a workout program from the app can not monitor the heart rate. you can have a change that would allow the use of the gear fit to monitor your heart rate by starting the workout from the app and not from the gear fit?
Also, starting a workout program from the gear fit with the vocal coach, gear only shows notifications on the display without speech feedback on the device, you can do some editing to get voice feedback on the device?
Thanks in advance.
Is it possible to pair a bluetooth hrm belt with the gear s? I would like to use it for running, and i think a chest belt would be more accurate then the build in sensor of the gear.... I have a runtastic combo bluetooth smart belt and considering buying a gear s

I believe the only way to do this is to pair the HR monitor with your phone, then run a fitness app on your phone that has an accompanying companion app for the Gear S (like Endomondo or MapMyRun). In essence, the Gear S becomes an extension of your phone's screen. These companion fitness apps will not work without an active connection with your phone.
The native Nike+ running app on the Gear S is nice and doesn't require an active connection with your phone, but I don't see any settings that allows me to pair any type of HR monitor (which is a bit odd since the Gear S has a built-in optical HR monitor).
The native S Health app on the Gear S has a running option, but I believe it only uses the built-in optical HR monitor.
Friends,
I have one question: The Samsung Gear Fit, not works with other third party fitness apps? Only pairing with S Health?
And with Endomondo, Runtastic, Strava...?
{}!
Endomondo works great.
I am thinking of buying the Gear S for running. I would like to open multiple running apps to track my run. For example, runtastic + mapmyrun + music player + track heart rate + track GPS at the same time, standalone without phone around. Can the gear S do that?
would a garmin vivoactive a better choice for my needs?
thanks

I am not sure about two apps that would try to use GPS at once, but you definitely can run multiple apps at once such as a running app and music player, along with others in the background. To see your open apps you simply have to hold down two fingers on the main clock screen for a couple of seconds. You should then see small windows of the open apps that can be slid off to the side to close as needed, or a button on bottom to Close All.
running
It's not easy to say, but for running and real sporty things inkl. heart rate things I would buy Polar v 800 or Suunto or other brands with more and longer experience in these things. Healthy and fitness it's not the focus of this watch: gps and the other sensors are minimalistic interpreted by the tizien software. Runtastic and endomondo are not standalone solutions and not connected by remote.....you need bluetooth for both. Don't know why.
By the way: the measurement of the heart rate is very bad and not comparable to methods by belt. I tried measuring on both sides - left and right, watch up and down, where skin is sinner and lightflow to vessels are better. To much fluctuation.
S-health is young ....too.
I have noticed that when the Amazfit BIP is connected to Iphone then strava, runtastic etc detect it as a bluetooth HRM and display heart rate for real time monitoring. But when doing the same on Android, none of these apps detect it. Anyone knows the reason
A lesser known app MotiFit connects on Android as HRM but not the better known fitness apps
HRM Amazfit BIP
