Nothing else...this phone rocks
Try harder! Cloudy 2.0
So who won the **** measuring contest?
Seriously. These benchmarks mean absolutely nothing. I'd take a smoothly performing phone over a random number any day.
Damn how are you guys getting it that high? I tried it on CloudyG 2.0 and CloudyFlex 2.6 and the highest it ever got was 32K....

Think you guys are missing the point of the thread. Its not about who's got the highest scores etc.
More so we have a phone that's 1 year old yet pumping out scores and performance like it just came out.
That's huge.
Scores may not mean much to you but honestly, they exist to measure key performance indicators that measure how the systems perform in certain conditions.
No one made you read this or forced you to post lol...you guys are funny

I have SetCpu already, and with all the profiles and changes in advance settings, I get incredible battery life, compared to other eris, rooted and un-rooted. I just want to prolong it even more. and from what i hear, the under volting would help in doing that alot. Plus, no reason heros should have it and not us

I think he was referring to trying a hero kernel on an eris, not undervolting the eris.
The reason we dont have such features is nobody has gone in and done it. The Hero has more market penetration, so there will be more users/developers by nature.
The source for the kernel is out there, we just need someone with the knowledge and the know how to do it and post it.
Im too busy atm to think about it, got to move + work + vacation + alot of other stuff, but its an idea i have pondered, but honestly i have never compiled a kernel, and lack the time for awhile into the future to even research it.
It definitely would be cool though

I take it you have not looked in the Android Development section and seen all the Froyo ROMs for the Eris.
We have froyo roms... we dont' have froyo compatible kernels, our kernels from 2.1 will work but only with tons of workarounds to fix the roms. It's very different...

First of all, Quadrant scores don't really do anything except let you see the differences between certain roms. It has almost 0 bearing on real world performance. But, to answer your question, the aosp roms (vanilla froyo, MIUI, cyanogen mod) are the ones that are going to get you the 2000+ scores.
AOSP+OC kernel. Quadrant score is just a number, you should pay attention to how the phone feels in everyday use rather than some number that means nothing in normal use.

That's about right if you're not running aosp or miui...I am testing out aosp honeycomb theme with oc/UV kernel and phone is the fastests it's ever been. I just tested quadrant for you and I pulled a 2300+. Then again...it's only quadrant...but the phone feels quicker too.

don't listen to these buffoons. they don't have a clue.
Quadrant scores are important, and are the most accurate representation of the amount of horsepower-amperage your phone outputifies.
My phone gets 2333 whorespower per mile.
Sent from my MIUI SCH-i500
It's an understood growth stage. You figure out the basic concept of rooting and become obsessed with benchmarks until you realize that A) No one else cares.
B) Your 2400 score translates into 3 hours of battery life and an unstable phone.
And C) There are no applications out side of benchmarks where the difference can be seen or felt in use.
How about underclocking and undervolting while maintaining stability and use?

It varies.
If you set too aggressive, it may decrease battery life because it's constantly killing apps, vice versa i think.

I have to agree tho. To say it's on par with a superior hardware is ridicule but 800 was a good chipset tho. 808 with a good kernel and clocking will over perform as well. Its just simply tuning

Close background apps and make sure phone is not warm when you starting benchmark, besides performance differs from ROM to ROM.
