[Q] downgrading to Stock rom help? - Samsung Galaxy Grand Quattro

guys i am in a big trouble i have installed transwin rom for grand quattro but it has many problems many apps and xposed framework doest work on it now i want to downgrade it back to stock rom but i cant find any i found 2-3 stock roms but whenever i try to install them through CWM it says 'installation aborted ' when i tried to open it through pc it opened . but the boot.img is showing error corrupted file or unkown format .
please guys i really want to downgrade to stock rom is there any real rom available with latest firmware of grandquatttro which will really install and not waste my data pack all roms are 769 MB big so it is difficult to download them on a moderate plan
also the apps like freedom does not work on the current rom it just shows loading ..... :crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying:
EDIT : Or any other way by which xposed and freedom will start working

You can download stock rom from http://sammobile.com and then you flash it with Odin. But the rom is really big, you don't have choice. Unless if you have a backup. Do you have a backup?

no i dont have a backup poor me ...... is there any other way by which xposed and freedom will start working

If you don't have any backup, your only option is to reflash stock rom with Odin

Without the stock rom, it is so risky to test custom roms, almost impossible.
But if you can flash TWRP or CWM, you can backup your stock rom to restore everytime you fail.
I suggest you to find the custom recovery first.
Use this Mobile Uncle Tools (MTK tools) to flash custom recovery, the most easy way to flash recovery for MTK devices. If you want to know how to use it, go to www.kokoandroid.weebly.com and follow the step 2,3 and 5.
Good Luck in porting rom. :fingers-crossed:

[Q] CWM/Previous ROM wont let me install any new Roms

I installed JellySnap about a week ago just to try it out and decided that I didnt like it. Alot of force closing of apps going on and that was just annoying. Also couldnt view any pictures in the messenger app or a third party messenger app without the apps force closing. "Google search has unfortuantely stopped." I got around that by installing a new launcher.
Anyway, whenever I go to install a new ROM the installations always abort immediately after the installation begins. I got a status 7 error with one of the roms. A thread I viewed a little earlier advised me to edit one of the scripts to remove the cert verification, alas, that did not help either. So I am at a loss as to what to do. I could have sworn that when I first installed JellySnap it actually went through and overwrote my CWM with an older version it had in its zip package. I could have sworn that I had an earlier version of CWM. The touch version. Now I have to use the volume and home buttons. Version 6.0.1.2-siyah.
Any ideas on how I can fix this and start installing some new roms? Ive tried the latest updates of cyanogenmod, revolution, omega and resurrectionremix so far.
Thanks
What kernel are you on? Try installing philz kernel and reboot recovery. I think that worked for me when I had similar problem a while ago.
Edit. You probably have Apolo kernel, if jellysnap has the option for Dori you could reinstall your ROM and choose Dori in aroma. Good luck.

Try flashing Stock room with odin (sammobile.com) and then flash the room you want

flash a new recovery . and reboot recovery ..you are done . happens with many custom ( kitkat in particular ) as these roms are still in development . flash a new recovery ( 6.0.4.5) reboot recovery and flash the new rom . no need to flash stock via odin or anything else . simple as that .

I have installed custom rom cyanogenmod cm-11-20140806-NIGHTLY-n7100 and It works fine and after that I wished to go back to my stock rom which is Android Kitkat 4.4.4 , So I took a backup of my stock rom and moved to computer's hard disk
After I restored using clockworkmod recovery version 6.0.4.3 I restored my old stock rom .. but the problem is when i unlock from lock screen this message "unfortunately com.google.process.gapps has stopped working " keeps popping and I cannot get rid of it..
Now I again installed custom rom and I think the gapps version and stock rom android version is not syncing...please help me to recover my stock rom

Scroll down to the first section and it will send you to sammobile to download your stock firmware.
At sammobile click Firmware, then to the right side and down a bit there is a "search device here" box. Enter n7100 and you should find when you need!
Hope this helps!!

Well, before flashing the stock ROM try going to the application manager and try clearing the cache and the data stored by the Google Play services app. and if that still doesn't helps you out then you can move forward with flashing the stock ROM over your device.

[Q] Rooting and Unrooting help for Mega 5.8

Guyz Help me on this.
I tried to search for proper answer on how to in other threads, but didn't found.
I have Mega 5.8
I rooted it few months ago with odin and have SuperSu app and bunch of other apps like Nandroid manager etc.
I am not much of techie but wanted to try out this rooting stuff.
However I didnt flash any custom ROM. I kept the original intact.
Now my device status & current binary status says custom in download mode.
I want to unroot and restore all back to official.
How to do it.
If you have SuperSu from chainfire then under sttings there is an option for FULL UNROOT. Try that...
download a new rom
Download an official ROM from sammobile and flash through odin. thats the only way out.
