Ebay
Sorry for a bit of necro-posting, but this is coming up as a prominent post so I figured I'd respond.
I just recently got a great price on a new battery for my Photon. I don't know where this company ships, so you'll have to look into that yourselves (or whomever else reads this).
(Bah.. I have too few posts, so this is not allowing me to post external links. The site is www .a4c. com (without spaces) and you can go search for "Motorola HF5X battery" to bring up the couple products I saw)
At the time of this posting, they had the battery for $2.95 each, as well as an option to get a wall charger and battery for $4.95. Great prices and delivery/service was excellent.
To be clear, the battery is "HF5X" model.

Sorry mate, but those mdaII are already arround for a few mnths.

Must be getting blind
Jezus, its time I replace those lenses, I hope i kissed my wife goodby this morning and not somebody else his wife.
ummm ur confused
I'm not so certain that T-Mobile USA will carry the MDA II or perhaps they would call it PPC Phone II. With all the new devices coming out, Motorola MX, HP 6000, these devices maybe picked up in the US, before the MDA II and in fact the MDA II may never see the light of day in the US. HTC seems to be way behind production anyway. It is hard to get the device period, let alone a mass production for the US. With all the new devices coming out I'm wondering how well HTC is going to be positioned for the world market, let alone the US, in this form factor.
Hard sayin Mate.

Everything I have heard has been that T-Mobile will not be releasing it here in the US. Apparently they are going to market another device here.

there too expensive i was figuring a 500 dollar.. thats how much it would cost if t-mobile in the us carrys it and they told me that they would come in march but they have to wait to get all the manuals and documents to actually release it so they can troubleshoot it too
im wondering if theres a place where the t mobile market keeps a secret to the public to when the xda2 will come out to tmobile stores or if they ever will

I agree with you about the price, $650.00 is about as much as I'm willing to spend and thats with tax included.
hmm i want to buy a xda2 but not on ebay and i live in the us where could i get one
I agree too!!!!
I agree with all of you guy about the price, is too expensive to spend more than $700 for something that you won’t have technical support /warranty/ US plugs, and staff like that!!!!!

Yes it seems that everyone is out-of-stock at the moment. I just came from Thailand and had no luck either.
But have you not given that Expansys link above I would not have noticed a great looking inexpensive new powerPC phone on their pages that is similar to XDA.

Phone seems interesting and graphics chip performance looks REAL good too. I'd like to see more reviews on this one.
.
It does look like an interesting PDA/phone . . . but not having BlueTooth for wireless headset NOR WiFi does limit the device a bit, doesn't it? Sure, it supports SDIO, in which you could use a WiFi or BT card - but not both simultaneously. I use that configuration a good bit with my i-mate.
Still . . . it is good to see the line of available products expanding - pushing the envelope is a good thing!

I agree. Competition should push prices down too
Ps. Anyone know how to get hold of this device??

Hello guys. I'm new here.
I travel a lot between Malaysia and the USA. I study at Purdue University, but over holidays, I come back to the warmth of home in Malaysia.
Previously, I've had an XDA II that NEVER worked in the USA. My network provider was Cingular. It got so bad I chucked the PDA out in favor of a simple cell phone.
Now, on my return, I am handed another XDA phone, an Atom Life. My dad just goes through PDAs like there's no tomorrow.
Will the Atom Life work in the States using Cingular? The last time I had an XDA in the States, I managed to receive a grand total of ONE call. There was zero reception everywhere I went in the town of West Lafayette. Is there some settings I need to take care of for it to work?
Your question can be best answered by your network operator. Ask them. I think a 3G phone is needed there.
Yeah, my current cell phone is a 3G phone. The people at Cingular couldn't answer my question. I even threatened to sue their asses for fraud (because their agent told me the XDA II will work on their network), and still they did nothing.
The nerve with those guys.
Any chances of you uploading your Atom Life ROM? We could sure use some updates....
Unfortunately, no. I have no idea how to rip my ROM out. Plus mine was bought the instant it came out, so I don't think it'll update anything.
Hey everyone.
I bought a used, broken G1 off ebay and now that I've gotten it rooted & booted I've found that I am missing the longer (80mm) internal antenna cable that connects the motherboard to the UMTS antenna pcb. Without this cable there is no cell service to the phone so right now its pretty much a PDA and I'm carying around my old phone and my G1.
Since I know there are probably a bunch of users on this forum with broken G1's being kept for parts I thought I'd ask if there is anyone willing to part with one of those cables?
I'm in the US (San Diego, CA) and I'll gladly pay any reasonable shipping and "handling" costs...
Thanks.
You're best bet would be to find a broken one on ebay probably.
Not sure if this is what you're looking for but it's a GREAT resource to have for your phone.

dang im looking for this wire also.... let me know if you find where to get one.... i'll let you know if i find a place also.
Anyone ever manage to find one of these ?
I've been looking for a spare battery and battery charger for my Telus GSM Hero but all of the ones I found say they're for the Sprint version. I'd like to get OEM if possible, or the highest quality standard capacity ones. Does anyone know where to buy these?
Hey,
Not wanting to promote any site orso but i bought an charger + battery upgrade from this site :
http://www.oddsandpods.co.uk/advanced_search_result.php?keywords=hero&x=0&y=0
Hope it helps.
look on ebay, they have tons for really cheap (including shipping).
i got an oem battery for ~$6(including shipping) for my telus hero shipped to edmonton.
chargers should be ~$3 or less (did not order as i have a few of these already from various electronics)

Which one works with the Telus Hero? Is it one of these - http://cgi.ebay.com/OEM-BATTERY-For...wItemQQptZPDA_Accessories?hash=item5885d6d4e7 or http://cgi.ebay.com/for-HTC-HERO-TO...wItemQQptZPDA_Accessories?hash=item439d46186d ? It says "Hero G3" and I thought the Hero was the G2.
In some markets, I believe the Magic was called the G2. As long as it's a GSM Hero battery you should be fine.
Regards,
Dave
My friend just said the battery for the GSM Hero is exactly the same as the Sprint Hero's, anyone know if that's true?

no sure about this part...
if your not getting an OEM battery, you can just get a GSM hero battery just to be safe?
but as for the OEM hero battery, look at the pictures supplied by the seller and they should show the battery part number (ie for my telus hero - Part no. 35H00121-05M) and look exactly like the one you have.

I know, I've been trying to do that, for example if you search on ebay "gsm hero battery" there are only 4 results (whereas there's hundreds that say "sprint"). Also "gsm hero battery charger" has no results.

LOL, 2nd result from searching 'htc hero OEM' @ Approximately C $5.43(including shipping)...
and for the battery charger, same thing, try "htc hero battery charger":
here's the cheapest result (including shipping) @ Approximately C $4.06 (including shipping). but i suggest if you getting one of these, you might as well just get the phone dock (dock for phone) that also has a battery charger.

No it isn't. Since the Sprint Hero battery is 1550 mAh, I asked Sprint Hero owners to confirm the physical dimensions of their batteries, and it turns out that the Sprint Heros battery is slightly wider so wouldn't fit in a GSM Hero.

Dave

Thanks for finding that battery. For the charger, how do you know if that's the right one for the GSM and not the Sprint version?

lol, actually... you right... i'm not sure...sorry. darn stupid g2/g3 designations!
i would probably chance it on this one instead, since it says t-mobile on it (ie. the other way to tell if it's gsm or not)
sorry!
Hello guys.. I need your urgent help regarding the problem i am facing with my s2 sgh-i777.
My issue is that the phone takes a hell lot of tym to charge and it drains battery at a speed of 2%/min on average.. It is too frustating.
The phone also gets switched off on its own when the battery reaches around 40% (typically 37-38%
Well i have a EB-F1A2GBU battery installed in my phone. But some people say that its not the perfect battery for my sgh-i777. According to them it must be EB-L1A2GBA model. So please help me to find out if all this is happening due to this different battery model or it is the fault of my phone. So that i can troubleshoot it more effectively and efficiently.
My phone is running on 2.3.6 android and its not rooted!
The phone is imported and i'm using it here in india.
So its easy to understand that not much professional help is available here for this model.
Please let me know what you guys think as its gonna help me a lot!
Thankyou.

The original stock battery out of my phone is EB-L1A2GBA. It's two years old now and losing capacity, so I purchased a replacement from ebay. The replacement was inexpensive, US $3.75. The seller ships internationally for US $1.75 extra postage. It does not have a part number on the label, but is labeled as a replacement for the I-777 at 3.7VDC, 2200mAh. I've only had it a few days, but it seems to work normally. Maybe you could purchase this, or something similar an try it to see if that is your problem.
no option to shipment in india
Thanx for the info bro but they dont ship this battery to india. They have shipment offer only for u.s.
Please give me some link from where i can buy it and get delivery in india.

Yes, sorry. They list international shipment available on the ebay offer sheet, but refuse to ship internationally.
I guess you'll have to search to find someone that will ship to you there. Good luck.

Look on ebay.in for a battery. Idk what is good in India as the rupees are different from the ones in Pakistan. Good luck!
not available even there!
Thanks @azeem40, but this model's standard 1650mAh battery isn't available on ebay.in also
I bought a newEB-F1A2GBU battery again yesterday just to see whether this new battery works out for me or not.. Ans surprisingly it dint turn off my phone at 37-38% but as soon as i connected my charger with the phonr, the phone turned off and gave me unlimited number of boots showing battery cycle rotating and disappearing!
I have also checked amazon.in but they also dont offer the oem battery. They sell extended batteries of 3650mAh for my model but they are just too expensive. It costs 3000rs,which isnt affordable!
Now if i dont get a L1A2GBA battery, i'll have to sell my phone out!

How is it not compatible? It is 3.7V and says i777 in the description?
ya i know that but its not right!
Ya its says so but the actual battrry for i777 is EB-L1A2GBA. It is slightly different from this EB-F1A2GBU model.
My phone Reboots again and again while charging on inserting this F1A2GBU battery.
hi anshul...i am from mumbai and o can help you. pm me
thankks
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I777 using xda app-developers app
If the battery is compatible with the I777, maybe the problem is not the battery? Do you know anyone with an I777 so you can try their known good battery as a test, or try your EB-F1A2GBU model battery in their phone to see what happens?
not possible buddy
Yeah this idea striked even my mind but my bad luck, none of my friend or relative has sgh i777 phone.. Everyone has an indian model of s2 i.e I9100

It doesn't matter. It will still work with your phone. That is just the model number of the battery, and it doesn't determine compatibility in this case.

Ya bro but if i keepnusing this battery then it shuts down my phone when it reaches around 30-40%. And if i buy new EB-F1A2GBU battery then it reboots again and again while charging. It gets into a continuos boot loop.
Now i guess i'll have to either adjust up with this problem or sellnout the phone at a cheaper rate!
