Stock value for 300mhz. - Xperia Z2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

As far I know the current value for 300mhz is 755mVolts but mine is 750mVolts at default.
Is anybody got the same value with me?.

It varies around 750mv due to AVS

Auto voltage scaling
AVS
Meaning if your not doing too much your cpu will undervolt a tiny bit for each frequency, or overvolt for higher load
Its completly normal

Default is 775 for me, but I've undervolted to 679 (-96) and perfectly stable going for - 108 now

Wow. I've never ventured this low on an 801 device. How low are you on the rest of the scale? I'm assuming only so low on the bottom frequency because it's basically just idle. Man, you must last forever in standby! :good:

I think most people can get it. I'm UC to 1.497 Ghz to get that value... For 2.265 Ghz or 2.457 Ghz I just stable at -60 mv ..

I'm - 108 on all frequencies

Overclocking progress so far...keep going?

Hey guys I just started overclocking my ace and i must say i am seeing a difference in performance. Now a bit more details:
ROM: Stocklite V6
Using No Frills CPU Control (which came with the ROM)
So far my settings for the highest clock is:
MAX clock freq: 864mhz
Governor: performance
I/O sch: deadline
Should I keep pushing for a higher clock speed or is that good enough, and what are the signs of an unstable OC, i've been playing angry birds after each OC, also going on the market and downloading stuff, is that enough or should I run something else?
I know the minimum clock speed recommended for the ace is 245mhz, right now i'm just trying to get the highest clock speed, when I attain the highest clock speed, which governor would you guys recommend, on demand or smartass?
Try smartass v2
Use zimage which has multi overclock option
And keep min 245
And Max 902

Thanks man, i'll give it a go now and report back.
HUMM...just tried 883mhz and within 2mins of playing angry birds the phone rebooted...i guess I will have to live with 864mhz...but still it's a good OC, everything feels much more.....crisp
Study about the CPU governors before you start using them. Performance governor uses the MAX CPU clock @ ALL THE TIME, Uses the hell of a battery. & SGA is meant to be working on 800 max at all the time, it was running 864 continuously. No wonder why your phone rebooted. Continuous OCs will hamper your phone life.

Please, please, PLEASE. Don't use that gibberish writing style. Use normal english, as we all try to do (I think a very few of xda users speak english as a native language, as well).

i can say that u speak for all of us. and u can read minds!
I'm not going to leave the governor on performance, I was just using it to let the phone run all out while OC'ing, I have enabled the Smartass V2 governor now and all is good. Now i'm finding the lowest clock speed where everything still moves smoothly. So far 320mhz is pretty decent..jittery but decent.
guys, which kernel i can use for a good overclock? I am using zImage-Mod v1.5 more i can´t overclock with this..

what u suffering???
mine since last 3 month until now 24h oc..320 min 902 max using ketut kernel..
please share what u suffering...
If i OC mine beyond 844 MHz my phone restarts
Dont think that if one person gets 902 or 920, that you will be able to as well
test each stage carefully. IMHO OC isnt worth it (im happy with max 800)

[Q] Why cant overclock up to 760 my o1?

Why cant overclock up to 760 my o1?
I tried all the roms, all the kernels, but nothing.
I've heard about some guy, who can overclock up to 800.
What can i make?
(Sorry for my bad english)
Sorry, but you can't do nothing. It's related to hardware.

What is the diffrence in hardwer, isn't all optimus the same? :S
not all phones are created equal... some cant oc past 700mhz... some can get up to 800mhz. yours is one of the average ones that tops out around 750mhz. nothing you can do about it.
Ok, thanks anyway. And what is tje best overclocking steps? What to set to max, and what to min? Before it i puted all to 768 mhz :s

780 is already an excellent speed of our p500.I had overclocked to 748, but the motherboard burned the next day......

Unlock + normal system

Hey guys, i got a question: why sometimes when i unlock my sga it justs unlocks slowly(slugish) and the phone itself too? After a while he returns to normal.
Does it have anything to do with this deep sleep thíng? I think when i used setcpu it didnt happen(i dont use it anymore)
Im using stock ginger 2.3.5 with ket kernel and rooted.
Thanks!

Tis question as been asked over 234 times to be exact so please search anyway
Your cpu's minimum is to low so when it goes to sleep it starts with a low cpu speed just change your minimum frequency to 245+ MHz
Then your phone will unlock fast!
(My cpu runs @ 480-806 MHz I recommend it it's stable and super smooth!)
How can i change that without having setcpu running?

It's not the same for me, because I have Cpu at min 245 and max 806, my smartphone doesn't lag at all. When I unlock it, it just runs smooth as it should.
By the way you should try No-frills CPU Control, search it on Google Play, it's free.
After installing it, try SmartassV2 with the frequencies above!
If you still have lags, investigate further.
You guys read what i wrote? xD with setcpu i also didnt lag. It seems its when the phone comes from deep sleep or something!

[Q] A problem with doom kernel

After I flash the doom kernel V4a, my Xperia s sometimes shutdown itself, I just only lower the clock speed in 192MHz, I don't think this is the reason, can anyone tell me the reason please ?
That might be the reason. Too much underclock there.

nope. i use 192 MHz as the lowest too. might be the governor.

underclock to 192 and undervolt too ?
as k900 said it might be the reason, try with different governor...and try with less underclock and see if it shutdown

[Q] can setcpu damage phone???

wondering if the phone can get damaged if u changing cpu speed constantly by profiles? not overclocking thought.

And if the speed goes down does it means that voltage goes down as well?
Since i have rooted my sg3 and instal custom room and got setcpu i have set some profiles but seems like my battery drain a way quicker then when it was unrooted. Any advise please

You will need a kernel that supports Undervolting and then you can do it in SETCPU
i suggest Siyah's kernel. im OC'd to 1.6mhz and UV'd at -100mV. my phone is stable

No, only users can wreck a phone
Overclocking your S3 above 1800mhz will SURELY damage your hardware, the most stable and recommended clock speed when overclocked is 1600mhz,1800mhz and above are highly experimental.

Not true, i`am using Voltage Control Extreme right now and set the max clockspeed to 1 Ghz on a stock kernel in ARHD 9.5.0 and saved these settings as init.d script at boot and it works, even after reboots it`s still 1 Ghz.

A friend of mine downloaded SetCPu. She did something and now the phone is just dead. No screen, no vibration. Heck it doesnt even go in recovery. Either the battery is totally dead or we have a very expensive paper weight here.
