[Q] net::ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE errors with browsers - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
I'm using Samsung Galaxy S3 - I9300 (International Variant) with Cyanogenmod Version 11-20141008-SNAPSHOT-M11-I9300
I have tried in different browsers (Google Chrome, Opera, Firefox, Next Browser) with all these I'm getting the errors (net::ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE). Sometimes it is way to frequent making the mobile unusable.
I have searched for solutions but nothing has worked for me till now. Have raised a ticket with CM and link for the same is https://jira.cyanogenmod.org/browse/CYAN-5628
If you are having the same issues, please share your comments on the jira.
If you were able to fix the issue apart from doing things like clearing Dalvik cache, turning off 2 step authentication, editing access points, reinstalling CM or using a different browser please let me know.
I have done the above said things but still encounter the error randomly on multiple webpages, even some pages images or videos not get loaded. Have to do multiple refresh.
Will appreciate any help.
Cheers,
Prasi

[Q] Opera 10 - service overloaded or offline

So I've just got round to installing Opera 10 on the phone, slow I know but having done so, I think I know why I was being so slow to do so.
Basically every page I try to go to, I get "The service is overloaded or offline. Please try again later." So hit refresh and the page loads without issue. Move onto next page and get the same error message, hit refresh and it loads. How annoying is that? Any ideas on why this would do this every single time?
Does anyone have any ideas?
Do you use a proxy?
Try looking in operareferences
Perhaps a setting over there is troubling you.
No proxy being used.
Been through all settings, which are set to default. Opera 9.7 works fine on its default settings and can't see anything different between the two versions to suggest why 9.7 loads a page first time v 10 where I have to do a double load of every page to view it.
Except from the standard solutions like clean your history, your cache, your cookies, I cannot suggest any other solution.
Thanks Wilco. Unfortunately clearing everything (not that Opera 10 really had anything in it as haven't exactly used it yet) didn't solve the issue.
I've pretty much got a bog standard HD2, in otherwords haven't really done any tweaks etc but just maybe maybe I changed something using HD2Tweak that might have caused this but somehow I doubt it. Anyone else using Opera 10 expericenced this?
Yeah I get exactly the same issue, not everytime though and only with certain websites. I just put it down to the site being busy and just tried again and all loaded fine. I've no idea what could be causing it as the older version of opera I used did'nt have the issue.
Thanks ritzie for confirming I'm not the only one with the issue. The only thing is it's every site I go to and not just one, which is why it's so annoying, shame as I'm preferring certain functions of Opera 10 over 9.7.
I've just tried to replicate the problem but haven't been able to. Have you tried adjusting the settings in opera, also does it still happen when you're connected by Wifi?
i have same issue .. using o2uk hd2 with opera 10 .. any solution?
What version of Opera 10 are you guys using ?
I get the same problem when I first start opera no matter what site I go to.
I'm using opera mobile 10.0
Anyone got any ideas how to solve this??
Try to turn off Opera Turbo from settings
im using Opera mobile 10 works for me!

[Q] Opera Mobile forgetting login (user name & password) info?

Using Opera Mobile 11.1 on my NC running CM7 on EMMC, really like Opera, but it seems like Opera only remembers 5-6 sets of login information. After I log into a new web-site, it seems to lose the login information on one or more of the other web-sites that I had previously saved login information for. I do have accept cookies and remember passwords enabled in settings, and have not cleared or deleted private data. This does not happen on my phone using Opera Mini. Any idea what could be causing this or suggestions to fix?
bump - is anyone else having this problem?
I am not having that problem in 11.1. I'm having different issues and it seems that 11.1 broke a lot of functionality (speed, reload, refresh...).
Mine does not save anything at all. It only lasts until I load a new page. Can't even log in somewhere temporarily.
I have a similar issue on my Captivate (found this via Google). Opera forgets my logins but I don't think its related to having logged into other websites. I'm quite confident that after a period of browsing and returning to the website which I had logged into, I would be required to login again even if I told it to keep me logged in. This is something that keeps me going back to Dolphin Mini, but Operas pan/zoom is just so much smoother
I'm having this problem with Opera Mobile too. Logins are lost rapidly. I think it's a cookie problem because that's how these sites remember you signed in. I submitted a big report to Opera but they replied saying that they can't reproduce the issue....
Anyone remember if CM7 stable had this issue with Opera? I'm on a nightly.
I know this is a Nook forum, but like some of the other previous posters I found this via Google. Having this problem too, hugely annoying, since Opera would be my browser of choice. Acer Iconia 500, running the original (noon-rooted) version of 3.1.
The problem went away for me after having done a TiBU and flashed a wipe rom, then restoring via TiBU. Others have had luck with a simple uninstall/reinstall but that never worked for me.
Thanks. I did a reinstall of Opera, it seems so far so good.

Browser being redirected to go.padsdel.com......

Hi all,
I am not sure if this is the right forum or spot for this but my chrome browser on my Galaxy s7 edge is being redirected to go.padsel.com... then some other strange site.
I have tried clearing the cookies, cache and search data etc in chrome but no success.
I tried to run malwarebytes but that didn't do anything.
Once again, sorry if this is the wrong forum. If so, please direct me.
Thanks
Mikeinstlouis
Facing same issue for only one site.
I tried different browsers, dolphin and chrome same issue. But CM browser works fine.
The site in question in mobilisim.org.
I am the original poster and I got it to work normally by going into my chrome settings and deleting cookies, browser history etc for the past week. I had originally tried it for the past day and it did not work. I had read that it was successful on on another page so I hope it works for you!
Thanks worked liked a charm,
I was thinking of wiping the phone just for this issue.

Chrome: unwanted automatic redirection

Hi all,
For several weeks now, i get random annoying redirections from regular websites to scam pages about 20 seconds after the page fully loaded. My phone is an LG G5 H850 with LingeagOS 14.1 on the latest nightly build. After tinkering around a little bit i found out:
-The problem seems to occur on Chromium based browsers only. Regular Chrome, Chrome Canary and the preinstalled AOSP browser were "tested positive" by me, in Firefox Mobile this problem isn't present.
-The redirections happen on a variety of websites, mostly regular HTTP, but also some HTTPS pages.
-Disabling JavaScript prevents the redirections (but also breaks lots of other things, of course)
-Installing AdAway also solves the problem (Even though I'm not really comfortable with using an adblocker)
-It makes no difference if my phone is on Wi-Fi or mobile data
-wiping all browser data doesn't help either
Has anyone an idea how to prevent those redirections? I would really prefer to stay on Chrome without an Adblocker in place, but it seems like AdAway is currently the only way for me to stay on a website for more than 30 seconds.
All help is appreciated.

I think it happens when you try to pirate, isn't it?
Actually there is no actual for this problem. The best thing you can do is stop visiting those sites.
Cheers!

Actually, this has even happened to me here on xda-developers.com. And i'm not a pirate, as i said i'm even uncomfortable with using an adblocker. One site this happended on investigated further into this: Apparently, they weren't aware of the situation either, but they found out that the redirections are caused by malicious ads. It's written in german, but i can provide a link to it.
And no, it's not a pirating site

Problem copy-pasting and watching videos on Google Chrome

If this thread doesn't belong here, apologies but I don't know where else to ask for help.
So I've been facing this problem for the past couple of weeks, where I can't watch videos or copy-paste in Google Chrome 68.0.3440.85
Initially I thought that it probably is an issue with chrome itself and it'll be fixed with the next update, but it has been almost two weeks now that I've been facing this problem and judging by Chrome reviews, I doubt it's an issue related to the app version itself.
Note: I'm not facing this problem anywhere else but Chrome.
I tried resetting Chrome data, didn't work. Uninstall updates and reinstall them, didn't work. So now I'm at my wit's end so as to how to fix this problem. I could've just switched to another browser and not bother but chrome probably has 2-3 year's worth of information synced to it, which I need for my work, so I can't really switch.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Here's two videos of the problems that I'm facing:
