Same here. I flashed back from a backup before 1007 nightly, phone works. Then I flashed the 111214 nightly, 1 call after reboot and nothing.

Also dl'ed cm11 1018 and 1019. TELEPHONY ISSUES with both.

Hi am from India, after flash the radio cwm attjb to my e970 it seems our GSM sims not taking. It shows a no sim error. Further when I use .54 radio the sim works but weak signal. Any help guys.
Hi, do you have any old EFS files from when it worked normally? I think restoring those can help with radio problems, I'm not sure though, never had an issue with that on my phone
I'll google more about it now and come back
EDIT: So your problem MAY be a corrupted EFS partition, unless flashing different radios doesn't touch that partition, or does it?
I don't know much about this topic but I would still like to help you any way I can
Sent from my Optimus G using XDA Free mobile app
CM11 M10 build
Installed the M10. Started getting the com.android.systemui stopped messages continuously which made the phone useless. So using the CM updater, installed the latest nightly at that time (which was Nov 3). Everything seems to work OK. However, once its out of the wifi range, my wife reported that she didn't have ANY data connection even though the phone showed 4+ bars. Same with phone calls. Restored back to the stock rom (4.1.2) using TWRP, thankfully backed up the entire phone prior to CM11. I didn't do any radio updates as some of the posts here indicated.
Any suggestions? Which build of CM11 should I be using? Seems to be hit or miss.
Thanks
ROM is very stable...Thanks for the ROM.
Battery is running out faster on CM11 than Stock Kitkat...Any solution for this? (like greenify or something)...
Any chance of CM11 M11/M12 for e970?
kernels & cameras
Finally decided to do some reading on what the story is w/the camera on my e970 on cm11. If I'm reading it correctly, it's b/c cm11 + kernel are based on the G Pro. Is there a mako-based kernel that would work w/cm11? Seems that'd be the only way to get panorama back...

Boot.img is the first thing that Odin flashes from the package, so if the upload succeeds, it means the kernel has passed signature verification and *should* work. The message you mention is usually displayed in the case of a downgrade, not an upgrade. I guess it's possible that the phone's bootloader may not support a newer kernel, but this has not usually been the case in Samsung phones.
If you would like to try updating to the latest bootloader (Knox included), here is a link:

Let me know if it fixes your issue, and I will add it to the OP.
phone keeps rebooting
Hi guys I have the galaxy sgh-i527m and have been running megafire for a long time but I just wanna try out this kitkat rom and after installing it with odin 3.07 my phone keeps rebooting after the set up screen comes on. I did wipe everything before installation and even after it was rebooting after set up screen I tried again to wipe data and factory reset but still the same. Any ideas someone
I'm not sure what could cause that issue, given it is a stock ROM with nothing other than root added. I'd recommend removing any SD card you may have in your phone, or formatting the internal storage, in case they have data that the stock ROM doesn't like. Maybe that has something to do with it.

did everything you told me and its still the same but it reboots every 5 minutes but everything else works good. I really wanted to try this stock kitkat but if i cant figure out whats going on I will have to stick with megafire which is really good but i am curious about kitkat.

Do you think the new bootloader could help or i can brick my phone since this rom is not working on my phone
Anyone else got any problems flashing this rom? I really would like to give this rom a try but I tried 2 times now and it keeps rebooting after a couple of minutes of running
Since it runs for a couple minutes, it would be worth turning on USB debugging and posting logcat output to see what is happening.

Hey guys my baseband and wifi are back working thanks... but i have no sound any ideas

Just a heads up for those that are having issues flashing.
make sure you untick reboot after. let it sit when its done flashing for 3 minutes.
I also had to do it twice with a wipe and clear of cache.
mines working
This firmware got the WiFi and baseband working again (thanks) Is there anything i can do to get the eBay replacement touch screen working on Samsung kitkat 4.4?
Currently, the only known solution is to use a genuine digitizer. I believe a possible workaround is to unplug your LCD, turn on the phone, and then reconnect the LCD. However, this needs to be done every time you reboot the phone, so it's not really viable.
Thanks
I wanna thank you a lot for putting up this ROM toghether and make it available.
i fix a phone that everybody told it was gone. (No sound, No Baseband, No Imei)
i've first Upgraded my bootloader, then flashed your rom with ODIN.
Thanks and i'll send you a christmas present in form of a donation.

regarding some quirks with AOSB [1.3.7]
Hello everyone, and @Freebird11, I bought a new Sony device last week [my only Sony device after the X10i], and tried almost every rom on xda. Firstly, I want to thank you everyone for a splendid rom. AOSB is among the best of all roms.
-
About what I wanted to say. It has some quirks when using pimped kernel where I can kinda see the bootscreen flash for a second when I'm opening recents or some other app. I could also see glimpses of it[could make out that they were the blue petals from the bootscreen] in the bottom & left edges , during auto rotate in home screen and so on. The issue isn't there in with the stock kernel. I'm going to try recompiling the kernel without the custom bootscreen to check if it fixes things.
-
Also there is an issue with the navigation ring. I can confirm that the recents button doesn't function the way its supposed to in landscape when we have it[the navigation ring] enabled with any application in the center position of the ring. It's position overlaps the position of the default recents button. Silly thing, but I had to reinstall this rom and all the apps about 5-6 times in the past two days to figure it out. Hope you can fix this in the future.
-
Also the auto rotate transition of the wallpaper isn't very smooth at times. It blacks out half of the wallpaper and other things on it for about 100 ms during transition. Using Nova Launcher prime for the time being. Will try out other launchers and scenarios and let you know about this rom as time progresses.

The boot logo is a kernel problem I think.
Even though I built the pimped kernel I'd recommend using the Great Dev's on now as it is more up to date (I'm not a kernel dev, I just ported the Z1 kernel), pimpedt is showing it's age and lack of updates
any rom recommendations?

Thanks for the tip, I really liked Pimped kernel, it was pretty stable even with GPU over clocks and throttling off. It did cause a bootloop when I tried some of the governors though, badass if I remember correctly. Also, one more thing. I know its not ethical, but could you recommend a couple of AOSP rom for extended use, ie. something which would get regular updates in the future, and is also said to be pretty stable. Looking at how the Xposed module brings most of the mods even to stock users, how do stock roms compare to AOSP roms. Do I even have to download an AOSP rom anymore? If the differences are negligible, then could you recommend a couple of stock roms?
-
I've also managed to make a complete fool of myself by not backing up the TA partition. I guess I'm losing my touch after all these years. Does it actually matter during a warranty claim? Can't we just flash the stock firmware and give it to them? Have they ever refused to honor warranty claims due to the unlocking of the bootloader before? I wasn't aware of all this; back when I had the X10, there were no bootloader unlock websites or anything like that. We just rooted our devices and flashed whatever J, Z and Fxp posted here But for the Z ultra, I found instructions to unlock the bootloader below:
sites.google(dot)com/site/projectfreexperia/download/bootloader-unlock
Then someone mentioned something about an unlock website where the email is sent instantaneously. Found no mention of backing up the TA Partition until I was done flashing almost all the roms here.
-
What does this imply regarding the DRM content? Any practical consequences I might need to be aware of?

ROMs: Carbon (has BT issues at the moment but I have to say it as I'm building it ), Candy or SlimKat would be my choices at the moment
Ah yes the TA, read my friend, read. You get the unlock code directly from Sony on their dev site.
As for ramifications :-
I think I've seen one phone refused for service that was unlocked. You can of cause relock the BL even without the TA backup.
I think most things DRM related work with an unlocked BL since 4.4.4 (if unlocked from 4.4.4)
red led after kernel flash?

Thankyou for the info. Is there any official thread to restore the TA partition for people who didn't back it up for the Xperia Z ultra?
-
I tried Carbon, and pretty much liked everything about it. But then I dropped it for some reason. If I remember correctly, I think it was the auto rotate.
-
I'm checking out CandyKat now. Is there any reason the GreatDevs kernel fails to boot my device? It was the same with AOSB rom. I get this red led, and then a black screen when I force reboot it. I read somewhere that I need to flash the latest Sony ftf and then root it and install it from there. But won't it screw up my imei like it always does when I install any rom on top of it?
EDIT: Fixed the bootloop, and after the first few boots, I've seen an error popup repeatedly, saying something about candyshop. I'm guessing it was trying to connect to wifi, which was disabled at system start, hence the error.
-
I also noticed that the return animation doesn't work right when you press the back button in some apps, mainly the browser. Just try it repeatedly, and it shows a weird scrambled screen before it goes back.

If you didn't back up the TA then the only way to relock the BL is with flashtool (and I guess fastboot). This won't restore DRM keys or anything else that was removed.

Are you talking about the DRM keys? or do you mean to say that there is a flashable zip which restores the TA partition?
Or are you talking about a fix for the Auto rotate?

I know, I had to fix the baseband on my phone too when it disappeared all of a sudden. One of the weirdest issues I've come across.
So I found a CM 12 build on another site (originally for I9200) that I wanted to test on my Sprint Mega 6.3. I have it loaded and the basic functions are working and this thing is SMOOTH. Here are the issues I'm running into:
-screen rotation, have the screen locked in portrait to stabilize
-reads "NO SIM - SPRINT' on lock screen
-had to access secret phone menu to switch data to LTE/CDMA mode to gain data access
-can receive texts and calls, but cannot SMS text or call out
-CAN send MMS (texts with photo attachments)
after testing this, i decided to wipe and restore my rooted stock version of 4.4.2 and lost my data completely. Tried to ODIN stock firmware back on and still no effect.
First, does anyone have and suggestions to get these CM12 issues straightened out? I'm not expecting so as this is a really new and buggy build.
Also, any suggestions for the data loss in the stock build? Maybe if someone has the modem file i can ODIN to my phone that would be appreciated
If you want these questions answered effectively, just go to that site and ask Silesh directly.

I'm hesitant to ask him dirrctly. Its my understanding he is trying to avoid a lot of noobs following him from board to board bothering him personally.
I'm in the same boat, but different luggage. In the end, I needed odin, I'm stuck in Samsung logo boot loop. I've tried numerous ways of odin, pitting, NJ, and NE but after every successful flash I get looped. If you find a solution please share, and for thought maybe the lollipop will fix it during the flash as it will upgrade the tripped SECURE knoxed bootloader; Never had this issue specifically but my phone snuck in NJ1 update while I was rooted. How did it update and not fail? As I was rooted with a custom recovery? Usually the phone halts whenever under those conditions and update wont go through. But this has to be the one time maybe when the phone did update, or halfway updated then boom got stuck. I have a guy im sending it to on ebay he has one of those tools that lets you set the device back to any firmware and its only 35$. But I want to see if lollipop will go through first.

I think this belongs to bug report and should be okay, as long as you post nicely.
The big question is, does CM12 support L600 at this moment? I'm not so sure about this, as I've never seen an AOSP custom ROM that fully supports L600 yet.

Not natively, no. But I've had success using CM11 for the I9205 and with minor tweaks, had it working. Thought I'd have similar luck with this version

Great ROM but not microphone mute during call
Hello !
First of all, thank you very much for that ROM, it works pretty well, it is very fast and stable !
I waited for a long time before unlocking and flashing a new ROM to my phone, and I am not disappointed I picked that ROM !
I just have 1 thing that do not work as expected, and which (to me) is a problem : I cannot mute my microphone during a phone call. When I use the mute button, it does not mute (even though the button indicates that mute is turned on). Do you also have the same problem ?
I found a few places where some people are talking about how the method used to mute the microphone does not work on some devices : (I can't type in the URL because I do not have enough posts on the forum, but you can easily find with a google search about : "android microphone mute" )
Could it be related ?
I even tried to download an app from the Play Store to try to mute the microphone through that app, but it did not work as well (the name of the app is Microphone Guard (Mute&Block) )
Thank you !
Mute microphone works with Skype
Today I installed Skype and tested the mute microphone feature of Skype.
This works well during a Skype call.
I do not know how much it differs from a usual phone call, but it tends to indicate that muting the microphone works on that ROM, but it does not work for actual phone calls.
Has somebody an idea on how to fix this ?

Well, actually I find this ROM to be far more stable that the stock GB.
And unfortunately, I need to be on android 4.0 + to get some applications working, so apart from this issue with mute, the rest is very good !
As for getting another smartphone ... yes I have been thinking about it, but honestly, most of nowadays smartphones have nothing really new compared to the one from 3 or 4 years ago ...
They are just bigger (which I do not really like) and more powerful which might be interesting if you play on your phone.
And the smaller ones most of the time do not have external SD cards.
Until smartphones came out, I was getting a new phone every 5 - 6 years , so doing the same with smartphone should be doable ... especially when you see the price
So as long as I can survive with my "old" smartphone, I'll try to stick with it
I just wanted to know if somebody else experienced the same problem with microphone mute (and maybe had a fix ?) as I did not read about it in the main topic for this ROM.
I am having issues getting this to install. I am coming from NOTTACHTRIX 4G (v2.3.0) Updated May 12, 2013.
I boot into CWM and factory reset, then wipe cache, then wipe davike, then I install the rom. I reboot and wait wait wait. 40 minutes and nothing but CyanagenMOD boot screen.

I had the same issue the first time. In my case it turned out that my external SD card was partitioned and apparently the ROM did not like that.
To fix it, I deleted all partitions on my SD card and just recreated (and formatted) one, and then it worked.
I have the same issue I cannot install. Bit I have no external SD card at all.
Any ideas?
Sorry wrong post
dear friends, sorry for intrusion, but i need help for rooting .
I have bought Atrix 4g last week in german shop with
froyo 2.2.2 installed , but i can not understand if the
the rooting method to follow depends only on the version of Android or
must be considered also the firmware version.
a big thanks in advance

You must post your issue in the correct thread. This thread has nothing to do with rooting. As i told you in another thread, find the instructions and follow them. If you keep spamming threads, i will report you.

Actually, all that's needed is modem.img from the KDZ for the WiFi to work. Also normal flash should do it too.

Boot loop
I have a d620 that came with a v10e firmware. Two nights ago my phone updated to the 5.0.2 and I got stucked on the lg logo. Fortunately I've managed to flash it back using the stock rom. I really want to update to lollipop and I was wondering if any of you guys know how to get around the bootloop problem.

D618 V20b lollipop BUG on COC
is there any bug on COC graphic failures on war logs and etc.? on clash of clans?
im using the stock-rom lollipop - CIS version and the bug on the COC game.
you have Screen wake up notifications with Glimpse Notifications from google play, for all lg g2 mini. perfect.
I've flashed the zip on my d620r, everything works great. There are no bugs, battery life is very good compared with KitKat 4.4.2, and smoother overall. Great job!
Upgrade from V10g to V20a keeping data
First of all, thanks to all putting effort into this development.
I own a D620r with software V10g and KitKat 4.4.2, unlocked bootloader and TWRP. I used towelroot to root it. Everything runs fine so far.
I got a notification for the official OTA update to V20a and downloaded it to the device. I tried to apply it but were stuck in a recovery loop. I learned that official OTA updates need stock recovery and I cannot apply them having TWRP installed. I applied this fix to escape from recovery loop. The device is alive again, but the LG updater app asks to apply the downloaded update once a day.
Now I found this thread. The phone is my main device and contains lots of apps and settings. I want to keep the data if possible.
A) Do I have to expect trouble when I flash the V20a from this thread without wiping the data partition?
B.1) Or would the following procedure be an alternative:
Flash stock recovery (I made a backup using Rashr)
Revert bootloader to original locked aboot
Apply OTA update
Root
Replace bootloader with the unlocked one
Flash TWRP
B.2) I read that towelroot is based on a security vulnerability of the linux kernel that is fixed with Lollipop . If that is true, can someone give a hint how to root on Lollipop?
C) Can I choose between V20c/D620 and V20a/D620r or do they belong to different devices and are incompatible?
Thanks for your time reading this post.
Thanks
Thank you for the Rom and the instructions. It works great, there are no functions that are not working.
It also solves the bug for the smartwatches that caused battery drains on Kitkat.

Never, because this is the stock rom in a flashable .zip for custom recovery.
And xposed for android 5 ist still alpha and doesn't work correct on our phone.
If you want to try xposed you can just install it.
Read the xposed thread for that.
Please don't ask any further questions about xposed here, this thread is only about zip flashable stock rom.
Thank you.
Installing this ROM
This post was a mistake. Question is below this.
I just flashed this ROM and a problem appeared
Every time I boot my phone up I get this message.
WARNING!
Current version is not available for user. Can't find matched cust for NT-code mcc/mnc[29403],subset[FF]
What does it mean?
EDIT:
Also one more question, can I update my phone OTA in case there is a new software?
