Update your recovery.
If you are flashing kk ROM then you need to flash kk comptiable recovery first.

If you want to install CyanogenMod 11 (Android 4.4.4) then use these instructions:

[Q] ROM Manager will not flash recovery

Hey all
I'm trying to use ROM Manager to install the newest ClockworkMod recovery (I currently have an older version of TWRP that has some issues with Android 4.3 ROMs), however, when I tell ROM Manager to flash ClockworkMod it tells me that the flash was successful but when I boot into recovery I still have TWRP. I'm assuming that I'll probably need to flash it manually via ODIN, but if there is another way that would be preferred.
Thanks guys
There is an adb way I think cwm can't be done in rom

If there is a flashable.zip just flash in recovery like a ROM, if it is packaged to be flashed in Odin then use Odin or hiemdal, the xda thread for the note2 should have all info along with download for you

[Q] Can't root pure AOSP KitKat?

So I did an unofficial build for my Galaxy S2 Plus with KitKat AOSP and it seems I can't root it in anyway.
AOSP Lollipop roots OK as well as MIUI which is based on AOSP.
The error I get is "no binary installed"
Any hint?
Did your try to flash flashable supersu.zip

My phone was officially unlocked the bootloader. I always failed to upgrad by ota(incremental rom). Rebooted my phone and I will received another full rom by ota upgrade. Generally I will copied it to external sd card and flashed by alka twrp, superSU and xposed v85 in one go. Done.
